NMAers think Fallout 3 could be a good game.

My question is: WHY?

Isn't the point of "reserving judgement" valid when you know jack shit about a game... like... I don't know - Afterfall. In the case of FO3 we have enough info (yes, I know, for some of you seeing as someone is playing may not be enough), but still some of you morons are saying maybe, maybe, maybe without ANY proof while hinding behind the "IMHO".

The sum could be greater than the indivivdual parts.
No shit Sailor, but your "argument" lacks something or rather it is the "other way around":
Shit+Shit=/=Good
the proper equalization is
Good+Good=Great

If you don't understand this go read TW's review on RPGWatch.

Goddamnit. What the hell did I say that warrented a response like this? Even if you disagree, is there any reason at all to go about it like a sarcastic jerk? Can't you save these kind of comments for the dumb fanboys?

I'm saying people should be reserving judgement because no amount of previews and gameplay videos can compare to playing the goddamn game. Is it so hard to imagine that the game just might turn out to be decent enough due to a factor that we haven't thought about because we haven't had our hands on the final product yet?. Is it completely and utterly inconcievable that the game might surprise you, and that you might just be a touch too prejudiced for your own good here?
I agree with the RPGCodex on a lot of things, but some of these threads are fucking ridicolous. There's no way you can know how you'll like the game without playing it, so stop acting like it. How it seems reasonable whining about a product you haven't bought is beyond me.

I'm not trying to say that I am not pessimistic about the game myself. I don't think it looks very good either. But until the day I'm actually holding the game in my hands and is able to judge the pros and cons based on my own playing experience, I'm not gonna pass judgement on the thing for the same reason I don't judge movies based by their trailers and books by their covers.
I agree actually. Some things may look awful when you watch them, but when you start playing them, they turn out great. For example when I first saw BG pause every few seconds gameplay it looked awful. I was like,... WTF is this shit?! But when I started playing it felt amazing. No one said that is expected from FO3, but lets just wait before we try it.

PS. Oblivion combat looked great to me when I first saw it. But after trying it, it felt like shit. So lets just wait.

Say the "Oblivion Sucks" guy.
LOL! Yeah, but I played Oblivion. I have yet to play FO3. I know it will probably suck, but I will restrain myself from spitting shit on the game I have not yet played. But rest assured once I try it, if it is as bad as I fear it will be, I will be in the front lines of FO3 shit spitting. LOL!

A good way to look at things.

Since Bethesda doesn't offer demos for their games, Pirating them isn't wrong :)

EDIT :

And nothing is physiccaly removed from the inventory.

But there is a limit to how much you can carry in your inventory, and thus all is balanced.

Oh yeah, the game will be a fine post-apocalyptic sandbox. Will I buy it? Nope. Will I even pirate it? Nope. Have seen enough already to know it ain't for me. Twitchy fallout? urgh!

whats the point ?

there s already a post apoc variant of oblivion-like gameplay. its called S.t.a.l.k.e.r. (though to be fair its more like morrowind with guns, given s.t.a.l.k.e.r. had at least great art design to somewhat make up for the crappy gameplay just like MW )

and unlike F3 its also moddable, so it might turn into something decent over time just like morrowind did (but oblivion still hasnt) - or already maybe has, didnt keep up on mod progress but might check back later.

Do you not remove it from an inventory, Mareus?
Hell no! I ll pirate the damn thing. I will only remove it from the inventory if by some miracle the game turns out alright. But that will be very, very hard since I believe what we have seen so far is probably a lot better than what the final product will turn out to be. If I know Bethcrap they will probably remove half of those things we have seen in their presentations, so the final product will be even more crappy than it already looks.

I am searching where could I buy a game called "The Fall: Last days of Gaia". From what I have seen it looks a lot more like original Fallout than anything else. I don't know yet how good are the dialogs, but the game looks awesome. It also has that Jagged Alliance 2 feel to it which is one of my all time favorites. For those who are interested here is you tube link to see what the game looks like.
