Hooked on this bloody thing again (for like the fourth time lol). The mungos are pretty cool, they definitely subvert my expectations and shake things up a bit with never-before-seen abilities and a frankly absurd amount of dodge :) (It's neat that players, having had to cope and build around the clowns' absurdly high block, now have to rethink and adjust a bit to deal with the mungos' absurdly high dodge.)

Storyline continuation is nice (I like the way all the beast shenanigans that have peppered the story throughout look like they're coming to some sort of conclusion, as per Giselle's discussion with Jane). Extra slots, masteries, new tools, etc., all very nice. Previously I'd only barely touched Misty when she first came out, then some other shiny game object distracted me for a while, so it's nice to dig into building her out now. Ninja seems very versatile (a bit like Ray's Alchemist in some ways).

One little thing that was really fun to me was the fact that that splash image in Jermu's post above, which we players must have seen a hundred times, actually finally has a meaning and a payoff as part of the story. It shows that they had a trajectory and a plan all along, which is reassuring (not that one doubted it much, but the confirmation is somehow very gratifying and inspires even more confidence in the team).

Addendum to the above: first of the Tri-Serpents and Red Sand dropped today - hard as nails, barely made it on first sight of the mission, diff maxed out, with 4 members of my pimped-out 12-man superteam left at the end. The mission is full of killboxes and they have snipers, each of whom is about as evil as Athaad, not to mention some deadly gunners with fire support out the wazoo and and some hefty melee, and the Tri-Serpent guy (Ortega) is annoyingly difficult to kill - though (as I discovered) vulnerable to being panicked by Giselle's traps and killing his own guys. They have a lot of interlocking conditional/bonding-type tricks, didn't really catch it all, but the guys are analyzing it on the Discord. Good times! :)

I doubt the sincerity of this apology. I'd write an angry letter about it but I also doubt their incompetence, so...

Who translates these to English for them? I feel like there should be some cultural adjustment. Granted, there are some devs I wouldn't mind apologizing for their general incompetence, it isn't normally a winning communications strategy.

  • Lowered the difficulty for the Easy, Safe, Story of the scenario mission 'Into the Tiger's den'
  • Lowered the attack power scaling of Attack Protocol and Reinforced Attack Protocol.
    - These two abilities had high figure of attack power scaling compared to other abilities that has a property of consecutive attack. This is one of strength of Kylie and the dev team also knows this but we decided to do it for future contents. Please leave your thought of this on the community board.
  • Enhance SP effect of Heating, Information, and Recharge of the machines.
  • Changed the speed and amount of fuel consumption for the machine crafting.
  • Changed the attack type of Misty's Tidal Wave from Area to Single target.
  • Changed the Still Stance not to be maintainable when an unit stands on the tile with Spider Web, Polluted Water, or Water.

  • Changed the Required Training Points of some masteries:
    • 2 → 1: Tactical Reform, Strategic Focus, Invisible Sword
    • 3 → 2: Tactical Pressure, Tactical Fanout, Joint Tactics, Fluid Dynamics, Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Solid Mechanics

Finished main story for first time over holiday.

It picks up fast but it's not what I expected from reviews here

Typical maps have 60-80 enemies of which 15ish will be serious enemies and rest will be Mooks

You still have to respect mooks because there are units that do overwatch attacks when nearby allies are shot or worse take their full turn out of order when allies are killed In their sight range

Early part of story has a lot of guest character maps so it felt awkward being taken away from main party so often.

I think this is intended to demo skill tree synergy ideas before you get to post game and this stuff is put on enemies

The game has a wonderful skill system for the most part but many secondary systems feel half baked.

The final map is kind of weird feeling because the bosses are placed right at front and then it's an hour of cleanup featuring the overlapping sniper squad.

It's possible to kill them quickly with stuff like reckless charge or chainkill but if you haven't transition to speed / action point control I can see this walling people (mission 1-46) really don't require much deviation from the stock builds characters come with.

All battle UI and skill/job chart seemed translated fine... My main complaint with translation is the baffling way that a character who escaped from a child slave labor mining camp is described as being "on vacation" The main cutscenes have little to complain about.... Short summaries and journal entries (eg when replaying old missions ) tend to be a garbled machine translation that can suggest the opposite of the actual cutscene.

Overall , I feel like game goes from too basic (chapter 1-2 when you have limited party and too low level to reclass) to somewhere comfortable and interesting , to too busy (chapter 7 and the larger optional violent missions)

Overall I think the game deserves a longer honeymoon period than most because it fights back against player shenanigans instead of rolling over like most tacticals.

Changed the amount of recovery of potion types increased slightly.
Changed the effect of the Plague Cloud from Infection to Decay.
Changed the effect of the Decay that decreases the rate of restoring Vigor from 50% to 90%.

some interesting magic knight stuff, magic shield is pretty much must have for all tanks that can get it (battle mages for example)

Man, the ending really leave you hanging hard, is like a bigass prologue, every single plot point is left open.
Gameplay-wise, is also missing a real endgame, last mission is just busywork, big zebra boss is like a random elite unit, i barely had any time to use the dancer.

Wtf is this "abandoned children" thing? Wtf immortal emo fire dude even doing? Why is sion so fucking slow? Why is cunnysseur Heixing made of fucking glass?
My god, all the characters are related in VERY convulted ways.
Anyway, is bianca dlc some actual sequel or just random extra missions?


Really liking this game, is like a xcom long war jrpg edition.

Bianca DLC continues story of the game as does the rest of the released content.
How much it resolves plot points i cannot say, have started a new run of troubleshooter and only just cleared the bianca and white lion content but that leaves the really new stuff.

Heixing being made of glass is all on you and how you build him, in my comp he is middling when it comes to survivability in the sense that i've got him a mastery that boosts survivability and as the MVP of my A squad he gets first pick of my best gear which often includes +hp and +resistances so whilst his dodge/block rates are low he can take at least 2-3 non mitigated hits from most enemies (playing on the difficulty before the hardest one so my non tanks tend to die fast if i mess up their positioning, therefore surviving 2-3 hits in worst conditions is great for a dps).

Sion being slow is a bigger mystery though. I give him speed boosting gear and he has does have 1 or 2 speed boosting masteries yet is somehow still among the slowest in my squad, guess that's just how he rolls and why he gets so many slots for relationships with other characters so he can act out of turn via support fire. Actually that might be a factor, attacking out of turn still counts as an attack i believe so that would delay his next action, someone correct me if i am talking nonsense.

I HAVE defensive set up on the glass cunnysseur, he's my only ranged with them, still get fucking oneshotted.
Must try the other class i guess.
Must also rework irene, for some reason the one shot one kill stopped proc?
What are some good pokemons? I have mutant toad and he's useless incarnate, raising a dog. (what element is the best?)
Drones are nice, made a fast ice shot one, veeeeery fast and mobile, still can tank a bit, amazing support shot and ress ability.

Ok started the dlc... ok my mind is blown.
Bianca le bianca... IS THE GOTH ONE? WHY?

second dlc is pretty gimmicky how to approach missions, worse than first one.

Is misty story DLC finished yet? I want to go back to the game but orobably best wait till the misty DLC is completed. I played last in January. Did the level 53 Violent case then stopped to wait for further story dlc

They're still working on the last story mission. They released the 60V mission first.

From 17th August:
Update Details:
Added a violent case 'Abandoned Children'.
- You can join the mission once you completed the scenario mission 'Walking on My Own Path - Crow's Ruin'.
- This mission was designed to be opened when the final scenario mission of the 'Crimson Crow' DLC updated. But update schedule for the final scenario mission are delayed and we decided to update this mission first.
- The condition for joining the mission will be changed when the final scenario mission is updated.
- I'm sorry for this abnormal update schedule.
Added 60 level items and set items.
- You can loot materials of them through the violent case 'Abandoned Children'.
- If you already met the condition for workmanship and have crafting method, you can craft them after this update.

From the early access, we’ve been taking this long journey with all of you.
Since the last update of DLC “Crimson Crow” is en route, we’re doing our best to sew this up well.

From below, we’re going to talk about our future roadmap.

1. About “Crimson Crow” DLC
The original goal that we set for October 21st last year when we were releasing “Crimson Crow” was to finish this DLC in August this year. But due to our lack of skills it got delayed and eventually, the last update of “Crimson Crow” DLC will be released on the time table below:

2. About the break due to Korean Thanksgiving day
The holidays in Korea usually don’t surpass a week. Also, since Korea declares holidays by the lunar calendar, the exact date of holidays could differ.

This time, Korean Thanksgiving Day, one of the biggest holidays in our country, merged with other holidays in October, so a long holiday was made.

Considering we didn’t take a summer vacation this year, we decided to take 2 weeks of vacation to return to our hometown and spend time with our family.

We apologize to you again for this decision while “Crimson Crow” is still being developed.

As it’ll will affect our update schedule, we’ll try to compensate for the delay by making a full effort to our new content after the vacation.

During the vacation, community management and bug fixes will be done by telecommuting and rotation duty. Please understand that our response could be later than usual.

3. About the development of our sequel “Troubleshooter: Banished Children”
(1) . About the sequel itself…

The main character of our sequel “Troubleshooter: Banished Children” will be a different figure from Albus.

We’re thinking about focusing on the separated Spoonists from the story of “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children '' and the other Troubleshooters related to them while revealing new classes and enemies related to the new theme.

It’s possible that some of the characters from “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children” can appear in “Troubleshooter: Banished Children”, but our sequel’s storyline will be a stand-alone in the Troubleshooter universe.
We know that some of our fans are expecting the next tales of Albus and his colleagues, and will be disappointed by this decision.

Nevertheless, we’re trying to take an adventure to present you with a more interesting experience. We believe that this adventure will bring more fun!


(2) About the development progress…

We are now working both on our DLC “Crimson Crow” and our sequel at the same time.

We are giving up on developing our sequel with the current game engine and trying a new one. Since we’re not familiar with it, we’re relying heavily on trial and error.

“Troubleshooter: Banished Children” will inherit and improve many features from “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children” while greatly simplifying the features that were somewhat too complicated. From last year, we’re now building the base of our game features and contents with our new game engine.
It’s almost 50% percent done, and we’ll start developing the sequel when this task is 100% done.

We’re expecting that it’ll take a year or two before we present you with our sequel with early access.

During this period, our team will be tested with our power to sustain the development. It could be harsh and unforgiving but still, even this couldn’t happen without your love and support.

4. About the support on “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children”...
The release of the final update of “Crimson Crow” doesn’t mean that it is the end of the support for our game.
After we finish our final update of DLC, we’ll focus on improvement over existing content, QoL, and even more new content requested by the community.

With this, we’ll build on our experience with the improvements we should make in our sequel and present you better gaming experience to gamers who still enjoy “Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children”.

These kinds of updates will be released one or two per month before we start focusing our resources on our new game.

The updates like usual will be continued and normal missions will be added as our development goes on.
