their games always feel like a slog to play. Your always play this loser hobo that relies on crit fishing and choose your adventure save loading to find out the optimal path through the game.

Played the game little bit yesterday navigating the ship is a pain and the game is ugly. Made me nostalgic for septerra core which is funny cause that game has similar visuals but is prettier despite being a 20 year old game.

More like old immeasurable damage Bioware did in the first place when they opened that pandora's box of party member romancing.
Origin and SSI did that way earlier.
Yes but there's a difference between doing something and taking that something way too far.

Is this worth playing right now, or are there bugs I should wait for to be patched?

there are almost zero bugs. it's just details that need to be fixed, and you won't even encounter them unless you do a couple of different builds.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Grab the Codex by the pussy RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
It definitely feels more "traditional" than AOD. Especially with the way you get side quests/move around the world.

Not seen any bugs yet, though there are quite a few things that could do with a bit more polish/QOL.

I'm having fun thus far, it's a bit rough in places but it's no biggie.

I feel like I have gimped me with 5 cha though, what is the threshold to be able to have a second follower?

Been playing for 10 hours now and might be the game of the year for me. First playthrough started with charisma utility skill monkey with full party (probably near end), now I start second playthrough with solo murderhobo.

Other than some minor pathfinding annoyance having a good time with it. There has been some combat encounters I skipped (too hard) trying to do em all now with second character.

Crazy to me how someone could do a playthrough in around 10 hours blind. I'm about 5 hours in and haven't left the the Cargo Hold yet. Completed I think something like 10 quests, give or take.

That's an optional fight and what's more ironic is if you don't kill him and Jimmy and instead take the other two implants, you can get a nice reward in chapter 3(if your PC has high enough perception)

I knew that. I said it a month ago. Vince just had to add couple of lines to establish "romance" on top of existing relationship with companions, like 2 pages of basically porn with them, so degenerates can beat their meat to it, and 1-2 short encounters where you can stick your dick in a mutant or get triple penetrated by a robot or something, to have something with viral potential to use as a hook in a trailer.

Don't even need animations and models, just written smut. There are fucking people on the internet you can hire for a couple of bucks to write this shit. They would probably do it at a discount just because for once they'd be getting paid to write something else than furry fanfiction.
That was it Vince. That was the whole fucking job, the line between GOTY + enough money to make whatever next 20 games you want, and being forgotten and bankrupt. How could you fuck it up :negative:

I'm very into cock and ball torture
I pray for this game's success. The strong Iron Tower has been my favorite developer I've ever engaged with in Early Access. More often than not I usually buy a game that's in EA then forget about it as I check up on it every few years; or, worse, I witness as the developer fumbles around trying to figure out which way is up. The Iron Tower on the other hand is the complete opposite. They had a plan and stuck to it. The developers were also very communicative throughout the entire process. They listened to feedback, engaged in discussions about the game, worked with Early Access players to implement suggestions, and didn't hesitate to notify us when they had to delay a content update due to internal issues.

What sets this developer apart from all the others that I follow: is the communication and transparency. Iron Tower kept us updated on their plans throughout the entire Early Access process - they put their players first before anything else. The other key thing is their transparency; meaning if something didn't work out, they'd let you know. It was a pretty great experience. The developer's work ethic and commitment is to be commanded!

As for the game, it's the best. I like it a lot.
I'm playing.
Hope Pink Eye-san is watching me from the heavens proudly.

Thank you for supporting one of the best developers out there. I appreciate it. I do hope you actually bought the game though, lol.

Septerra Core is a JRPG, with very few sci-fi visuals. Like... other than Shell 1, 3 and 4, the rest are nothing like Colony Ship. Not to mention the "jump into battle" animations.

I'll give it to you that the card animations and some spells do look prettier, but otherwise, you need to go back and play it, because you're wrong.

Not even flaming. Septerra Core is one of my favourite RPGs. You're just objectively wrong.

I remember trying to make a sniper character for this game and realising there's only like 4 rifles when you compare to dozens of pistols etc, and 99% of the combat encounters are close quarters.

How similar is it to AoD?
Please click the applicable spoiler:
If you liiked AoD:
it's exactly the same!

If you hated AoD:
it's completely different!

Have fun!
Alright I just bought it. If I hate it I will have just you myself to blame. I might only play it in 6 months though, I don't like missing stuff devs added later because I bought early.
