No, silly. The crusader skill (which pally's get) is only useful if everyone in the party has it! SO either you start off with all paladin's, or you buy the skill in-game. Which in turn makes the skill worthless since its not good on its own. (its just used to unlock certain area's)

Now if it was something like lay on hands or smite or something, that would be usful.
