Arcane
I hate Baldurs Gate with a passion.
I hate it because I heard the hype of how it was the best RPG ever and I lusted for it for so long, thinking it would bring back my Phantasy Stars and Ys and Ultimas and Wastelands and Might and Magics and Arkanias and Shadowrun experiences of youth. But the only thing it brought was mellow linear stories, boring unrealistic combat and effeminated soap-opera romances in a childish goodie-goodie vs MWA-HA-HA baddiy world.
But is it possible that, after all these years, I could see some quality to it ? Perhaps now, clear of any huge expectations, I could appreciate the game better, for what it is ?
So, what do the hivemind think ? Is it worth trying again, specially with the "enhanced editions" on steam ? Also, would it be cool to play the first game before trying the second ?
Thanks, bros.
