Anyone tried Mod Organizer for New Vegas ?

It seems have a same function as Fallout Mod Manager and Nexus Mod Manager.
What's sort advantage if i'm using it and will it fuck up my load order somehow ?
This is what makes it awesome: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer_Advanced#The_Virtual_Filing_System_.28VFS.29

This doesn't apply only to mods but also INI and savegame files for example. And since it supports profiles you can have multiple modding setups at the same time.

Anyone have an idea of why this installation stops working after 3 or 4 hours of playtime? I've cleaned my system for another re-install, but since the behaviour has happened twice I expect I'm doing something wrong.

I'm on a pretty powerful system, so I don't think that's it.

3/4 hours between crashes seems pretty standard lifetime for gamebryo.
It's got to do with the technical difficulties presented by it being a PIECE OF SHIT.
Save often.

This guy knows how to balance a game. For all you SPECIAL overhaul users you should check it out.

-fully compatible with jsawyer(with compat fix) and Project neveda
-Perks better and more balance than more perks
-Great traits
-Choice and consequences

Get It!

Also I don't recommend using the perk re-balance addon on CCO, it has some great balance on some perks( turning intense training into gain special is genius) but on others it makes some marginal perks suck worst, stick with sawyers balance changes, that man knows whats up.

Just put Jsawyer mod at the bottom of the load order too keep his perk changes (no need to remove re-balance since it has some great edits).

Don't really care for any of the stuff CCO adds/changes except some formulas which are better but in the end doesn't matter much since I don't dump stats below 4.

Let me clarify: I am not crashing every 3-4 hours. If I was there would be no problem.

I am crashing every 1-2 minutes. This behaviour starts 3-4 hours into the game with the install I posted.

So it's a game-stopping problem, sadly.

56 38 ILO - Nevada Skies Patch.esp
...
71 47 NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp

Does ILO Nevada Skies patch only cover Vanilla areas? Otherwise it might get partially overwritten by the Nevada Skies DLC esp.

Firstly: thanks for your reply! Getting pretty desperate here :(

I'm fairly certain I've activated the correct Nevada Skies DLCs qua the RM instructions.

I've heard nasty stuff about the Enhanced Blood plugin, that it's preferable to only use the texture files. Or maybe that was for some other Bethesda game.

I don't really care about it, so I can remove it from the install no biggie.

You don't have the actual companion mod, you should probably disable this.

It's there by mistake - accidentally activated it when making the list for you. It's not active in the actual install.

28 1c WMR_DeadMoney_R.esp
29 1d WMR_DeadMoney_S.esp
30 1e WMR_GunRunnersArsenal_R.esp
31 1f WMR_...

These are redundant, use only the main .esm together with this: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49713

(read description properly)

Snarkiness not necessary. I'm an amateur trying to make this all work, and I must have read the instructions for these mods 3 or 4 times each. Shit ain't simple for us tech-newbs, and some of the instructions are pretty arcane :)

However I do regularly mod my games to shit, and this is the first time I've encountered a problem I simply cannot seem to bypass.

But what you're relling me is to disable the mods you mentioned and add the mod in your link? Check.

However: can it be the reason for my trouble? The fact that my game works perfectly for 3-4 hours then crashes every 1-2 minutes?

You did clean the masters right?

No, I have no idea how to? But then I didn't do that last time I played NV with a similar amount of mods, and neither did I do so when playing Skyrim with more than 200 mods. And neither of those games perma-crashed.

Do you think lack of cleaned masters is the source of my problem?

You get crashes with ENB disabled?

Though such regular crashes after a certain period seems to hint strongly at Nevada Skies or CASM or whatever works in that fashion.

I have similar mods installed as you Grunker (not including Nevada Skies) and had similar problem. I turned out it was something with the CASM, which is strange since I hadn't any problems with it before. I just started saving manually and everything came back to normal "4 hours and crash" scheme.

With that many mods together you most likely have a mod conflict along with other things. Uninstall all of your mods and add them one by one. Simple as that. You could just be running out of RAM since the engine is shit and you have a lot of texture mods or mods in general. Don't know your specs.

CASM can cause crashes too as he said, but it shouldn't that frequently. Oh and it should go without saying that if you uninstall mods don't use an old save, start a new game, or your file will get corrupted. Are you using the 4gb enabler by chance?

16 gigs. Shouldn't be a problem.

I did try to disable them one by one, though I don't think I tried with CASM. Never considered it.

That might be my trouble Ninja Destroyer? Will try it out if nothing more plausible is suggested, definetely.

Yup!

I have not tried disabling ENB, I think. On the whole, ENB and Enhanced Shaders are the mods I'm most unsure about. I have never used such mods before since I haven't had a rig powerful enough until now.

Well, if you have CASM set to save during combat, when entering and exiting buildings, - basically what the default is set to - that can definitely mess things up and corrupt files in a hurry. You said you tried a fresh install already I believe so that can be ruled out. Sometimes the files get corrupted when installing and uninstalling mods, or at least that has happened to me.

Personally I would move the two Project Nevada plugins that are flagged as esp below the other two esms.

I already uninstalled everything. My next install will be completely clean, starting over. If it doesn't work, I'm giving up for good.

Why go B-mode on the graphics mods?, I had the same case you did before not having a powerful enough rig to run games (Mainly because I was a retarded 13 year and didn't know how to leverage my 800$ for better hardware, plus my pc building skills sucked ass I had to call my uncle or my dad for some help sometimes because I FUBAR some shit.) when I got older and smarter I realized that graphics mod aren't everything heck the only graphics mod I get are Text Textures and Icons. I rather fill my game up with shit user made quest , more enemies and locations, better gameplay/hard mods, More dialogue if that's even possible.

I started playing NV a little while ago and I seem to have gotten all the mods to play along, but the one thing that is still bothering me at the moment is the crosshair. Is there a mod, or something I could change in the game files, to stop it turning red when it's over an enemy? I don't like being able to easily spot hostiles like that (I dislike the same thing about those ticks on the compass, but I'm okay with disabling that entirely. Though I'd consider keeping that, too, if I could find a way to turn all ticks the same colour).

Oh, can OneHUD affect the colour change? I have it installed and have been looking through it, but I can only find options to disable/enable the crosshairs at different times.

Speaking of red pips on compass, is there something that changes ED-E's perk to not be so cheaty?
Best Option for when something is unbalance (increase the difficulty even more).
I don't know how that helps. Youill still see enemies on the radar from a mile away. You can disable the pips with mods but then you have a companion with useless perk.

Would be better to change it to extra accuracy, crit chance or something like that. Honestly I dislike all the perks except Cass.

I usually mod the radar out , Enhance Sensors IMO negates the purpose of vanilla Perception.

Oh, sorry, I don't think it can change the color, but you can tell it when to show it.

Ah, that's a shame. I see what you mean now, but oddly, setting Dynamic Crosshair to only show up in combat doesn't work for me. It seems to be permanently there as long as your weapon is unholstered. Changing the settings to combat-only works fine for the vanilla crosshair, though, so I guess I'll have to either go back to using that one or just deal with the red highlight.
