The editor is pretty damn cool.

Fixed, Aurora is one of best editors for games. If not the best.

Agreed. If only it had turn-based combat... :(
It hurt my feelings too, man. Still, NWN is worth playing for player modules (There are some GREAT. And I mean fucking level of some best games around) and HOTU.

The NWN1 OC is pretty fucking bad....but that's mostly because of the opening Chapter. An academy under attack, waterdavian creatures (worsts plot element in any RPG ever) and the 4 sections of the city. It was so tedious til you got out of that opening. The game itself is just a ARPG romp really, more pure than Diablo and it's clones but not by much. That said, it's worth one play. The expansions and official premium mods, however, more than make up for it, and that isn't even counting Darkness Over Daggerford.

I remember playing it when it first came out. After BG2 I expected fun combat, interesting companions, C&C and B-grade but enjoyable story. Instead I got this:
An6yfcil.jpg

Pretty much all elements which I listed above were shit, companions AI was retarded, as was the plot. I still remember Secretly Evil Clerics casting red-tinted "healing spells". Gah.

I can't hate the game completely though, the editor was awesome, and so it gave me literally more then a hundred hours of gameplay from various great mods.

A Dance with motherfucking Rogues is what needs to be said about NWN.
True. If only people wouldn't go "OLOLO U PLAY A PORN MOD U PERV" when you try to tell them about it. This was a greatest rogue-themed DnD module ever, and that people dismiss it because of its adult content (which is decently written, much better then your usual Bioware fare) is just really sad.

Editor stuff was great but I enjoyed the campaign too. Mind you, I was 15 when I did. It was probably due to the fact that I got to mess around with 3.5 classes/spells etc. in way that gave me much more feedback than IE games did.

all those modules had some of the boldest and most interesting cnc and writing of any rpg at the time.
I didnt want to like it at first because it made me roleplay something other than my usual choice of character, but it still remains one of the most memorable games ive ever played, and found it more intriguing even than the official expansions.

The central appeal of alot of both NWN games is the ability to work towards prestige classes.

After that opening, after getting through the tedious 4 areas in the city, it opened up into another "go to these 4 places to collect the 4 macguffins". Fucking shit. I quit right then and there.

One of best spy/thief/rogues modules in any game. Next to Thief in atmoshpere for me.
If only people wouldn't go "OLOLO U PLAY A PORN MOD U PERV"
Thief + "Porn"? Sounds like my kind of thing.

How did I miss this? Oh right, the NWN OC.

Brothers, let us all grieve for the tragedy of those slain in The Great Attack of 1-HP Goblins.

This is perhaps the most idiotic way to introduce danger in any campaign and it was the first red flag when it came to shit content in NWN's OC (the first of many). The reality-altering puzzle in this forest world and the time travelling dungeon quest were fun, but almost at the end of the OC.

At least NWN2 had the decency to bring demons from another dimension to attack your shitty DnD Village N°54578763.

I mean, NWN2's OC story isn't anything to write home about either....it's better but it's a far cry from "good". I honesty think the best part of the second one's original campaign was setting up the tutorial as a Town Festival Tournament, everything else could have been anything, it wouldn't have mattered. That said, both NWN games original campaigns were just templates for the engine. The real meat is in the expansions and modules, and there are plenty of them for both that rival any AAA title, or beat them. They are really the only games I have extensive fan-created story content for installed on my computer. I mod the BG saga but only to the extent of the NPC Project and Wheels of Prophecy and Ascension (and SCS if I'm feeling like a need a beating). NWN was just made for that. I don't even mod the trilogy of modern Elder Scrolls games or Fallouts, for whatever reason the content of the best NWN modules is just BETTER than other games.

I still dream of finding the people responsible for this movie and stabbing their stupid faces.

IMDB can help you with that.

At least the third DND movie had DND things like some spells, the bag of holding, the vorpal blade, etc. And titties.

Is it any good?

It's Syfy. That should tell you everything. But it's actually based on The Book of Vile Darkness.
That's the thing: it's shit, but it features more of the source material than any of the previous movies.

Nah, the movie's about a paladin gone blackguard who goes on a quest to regain his faith. In his way he meets a group of CN/CE people and they try to fight an intellect devourer (who is a bald dude instead of a hentai creature, sadly) and etc.

There are other creatures from the Book, though, like this one:

Were there even any good NWN2 modules? It's kinda sad how the game left no legacy to speak of unlike the first one.
