I read it sometimes too, if its too taxing for you maybe you should try to make the updates shorter or try and describe the action in a simplified way (less pictures and more text should give you less trouble)

12. Araguay Woods

From l2r: Guzu, WC and Bee

JeZb8.jpg

It's choco time!

tc402.jpg

tc403.jpg

tc404.jpg

tc405.jpg

tc406.jpg

Ramza decides that we should try helping the bird

tc407.jpg

tc408.jpg

tc409.jpg

tc410.jpg

tc411.jpg

Enemies - 5 goblins:

tc412.jpg

Fucking :decline:

Most of random encounters are much more difficult...
Still - fuckers can revive each other, so caution is advised.

a) Things that went well:

Almost everything

b) Problems:

1) With every attack, goblins were becoming stronger and stronger

tc413.jpg

Which could lead to:

tc414.jpg

2) Some goblins could use revive:

tc415.jpg

No biggie, since we were able to kill them quick enough - they can revive, but can't heal

:smug:

3) Their 'Bloodfeast' attack was strong, but rarely accurate

tc416.jpg

4) Agrias was able to damage+Stop WC at some point

tc417.jpg

Radiant AI...

c) AWESOME / FUUU moments:

The only unit able to revive others without problems was Guzu, who got KOed. Monks would be able to revive her, but their 'Revive' has 0h range:

tc418.jpg

Luckily for Guzu, we were able to kill all enemies before she crystallized

tc419.jpg

:salute:

tc420.jpg

tc421.jpg

tc422.jpg

tc423.jpg

Big bird gets kicked out

tc424.jpg

d) Units' performance:

Ramza:

1) God of block - at the beginning he was able to block 3 attacks in a row

tc425.jpg

2) Lifefont was useful

tc426.jpg

3) 100% accuracy thanks to Concentration, weak but fixed damage

tc427.jpg

And when critical kicked in

tc428.jpg

Guzu:

1) Powerful caster (Ifrit/Shiva)

tc429.jpg

tc430.jpg

2) And healer

tc431.jpg

WC - strong ranged unit, but doing less damage than Bee due to worse crossbow (Aim+3):

tc432.jpg

Bee - strong ranged unit (Aim+1):

tc433.jpg

We go back to the map - another difficult battle awaits us:

tc434.jpg

tc435.jpg

Bee learns Aim+3, WC learns 'Steal Heart' and switches to thief:

tc436.jpg

tc437.jpg

:salute:

So far I was convinced that story battles scale to Ramza's level.
But after testing next battle, I realized that it's not the case - enemies seem to scale to the level of our best unit that participates in the battle (Lv. 16 - Bee and WC) - they are around level 14-16:

tc440.jpg

And the Boss is Lv. 21 (details - even his brave/faith - change depending on our team):

tc438.jpg

tc439.jpg

Yeah - Gaff mysteriously gained 9 levels and godlike equipment / abilities.

Since Ramza and other units are ~Lv 12, I decide to do...

MOAR grindan!

All units should grind to level 16.

;)

gaider1.jpg
And grind they did!

Ramza

Even when under enemy control (Confuse), his priorities were unchanged:

tc461.jpg

Yeah - fucker kept attacking enemies till his status went off!

He switched back to archer for some time

tc468.jpg

Later, he switched to monk

tc469.jpg

Which, combined with Aim, was a good idea:

tc477.jpg

He switched to dragoon when this job became available

tc482.jpg

Learned: Move +2, Poach, Equip Crossbows, Concentration, HJump+2, VJump+2

Bee

Not that great as archer

tc456.jpg

But her monk's skills were very useful

tc457.jpg

tc458.jpg

Switched to thief

tc459.jpg

tc460.jpg

Got a chance to increase her taffing skills (to switch to dragoon ASAP)

tc489.jpg

Learned: Steal Heart, Aim+5, HJump2, VJump2

WC

Competent thief

tc473.jpg

tc474.jpg

But he switched to Dragoon later

tc475.jpg

Learned: Move +2, HJump2, VJump2, Aim+5

Steve

He was a decent caster

tc462.jpg

tc463.jpg

Esp. after learning Bahamut:

tc470.jpg

Faced crisis of faith

tc471.jpg

tc472.jpg

Was useful in defense thanks to Titan

tc479.jpg

And was able to mass-revive allies thanks to Faerie

tc494.jpg

tc495.jpg

tc496.jpg

Learned (some of it through spirit devouring): Bahamut, Halve MP, Protect, Shiva, Faerie, Float, Throw Items, Sylph, Move +2, Carbuncle, Odin

Guzu

Was able to troll some undead with healing spells

tc447.jpg

tc448.jpg

tc449.jpg

:troll:

Her reviving and healing abilities were unmatched in the team

tc450.jpg

tc451.jpg

Became even more dangerous after learning Bahamut:

tc464.jpg

tc465.jpg

tc466.jpg

tc467.jpg

Was damn lucky at one point:

tc485.jpg

Having Faith increased by Sov's Belief, she was even more powerful (Cura):

tc493.jpg

Learned (some of it through spirit devouring): Bahamut, Halve MP, Steal Heart, Steal Helm, Steal Shield, Magicksap, Blitz, Vigilance, Move +2, Jump+2, Poach, Golem, Odin, Lich

DR

Could fuck enemies up using regular attacks

tc441.jpg

Thanks to his 'Poach' ability, he was able to take many scalps:

tc442.jpg

tc443.jpg

tc476.jpg

tc490.jpg

tc491.jpg

tc492.jpg

Xh0wU.jpg

His 'Jump' ability wasn't that great since he could attack only adjacent units (I left his dragoon JP untouched). Plus it was weaker than using Aim:

tc444.jpg

tc445.jpg

tc446.jpg

But this skill has great defensive potential - when targeted by powerful enemies, he can simply use Jump, and with some luck, avoid an attack + rape the attacker

tc486.jpg

Learned (through spirit devouring): Cura, Raise, Thunder, Ether, Hi-Ether

Sov

Real ass-kicker thanks to vide array of his Mystic Arts:

tc452.jpg

tc453.jpg

tc454.jpg

tc455.jpg

tc480.jpg

tc481.jpg

Tough motherfucker, since he's almost self-reliant when it comes to MP - he can always steal some MP from enemies (as long as he has 2 MP left)

After learning Belief he inclined further - by being able to buff/debuff casters:

tc483.jpg

tc497.jpg

And casters with strong Faith can be useful (Steve+Shiva):

tc484.jpg

After learning most of Mystic's abilities, he switched to Orator:

tc487.jpg

tc488.jpg

But these skills aren't very useful ATM

tc498.jpg

Learned (some of it through spirit devouring): Repose, Fervor, Harmony, Move +2, Belief, Magicksap, Hi-Ether, Aim+1, Elixir, Remedy, Auto-Potion, Throw Items, Disbelief, Entice, Intimidate

Anyway...

All units reached level 18 (except Bee - Lv 19)

Tested next story battle and got this:

tc499.jpg

tc478.jpg

:rage:

So it looks that enemies scale to the level of our 'best unit' (Bee), but with an exception of the boss (who went from Lv. 21 to Lv. 24).

But that's not going to stop us!

:yeah:

Since there's only one enemy who can steal our shit, we should use best equipment:

Ramza:

tc501.jpg

Bee switches to Dragoon:

tc502.jpg

tc503.jpg

WC:

tc504.jpg

Steve:

tc505.jpg

Guzu:

tc506.jpg

DR:

tc507.jpg

tc508.jpg

Sov goes back to his main job (so he can use items):

tc500.jpg

Alrighty, sisters and bros!

We need 3 soldiers for the upcoming story battle. Who wants to go?

Oooh send me. And learn horizontal jump 5 + vertical jump 3.

Also, if you keep up this pace of grindan you're going to regret it later. Since monsters don't get equipment, their stats scale MUCH faster than humans with level, and levels don't improve your equipment. Well, luckily you have more than enough units to rotate so you won't get overlevelled just by doing necessary battles anyways.

Edit: Curse you timezone! :x Oh well. I'll steal the show when next equipment set becomes available. :smug:

At least 2,5.

:smug:

DR said:

Well, we had to gain some useful abilities after all. But from now on I'm only going to equalize units' levels - most of them have reached their destination jobs or are almost there...

Let's prepare for the upcoming battle!

Ramza equips best available stuff and chooses AoW

tc651.jpg

WC should use Aim

tc652.jpg

Guzu and Bee - Items:

tc653.jpg

tc654.jpg

Let's hit 'em!

And 5 dragoons using different secondary action abilities

tc538.jpg

At least Delita and Ovelia (guests) look decent as well:

Fortunately, we were able to shut Gaff up eventually:

tc584.jpg

:smug:

tc585.jpg

tc586.jpg

:x

tc587.jpg

tc588.jpg

a) What went well:

1) Killing enemies wasn't that difficult, and since there was only one unit able to revive others with items:

tc657.jpg

This battle was long, but not that difficult.

2) Gaff tried reviving his Bros using Chant, but was mostly failing

tc658.jpg

3) Our gangbang technique was doing wonders

tc659.jpg

tc660.jpg

b) What didn't go well:

1) When attacked (even if not hit) enemies often countered with Dragonheart:

tc511.jpg

2) Gaff was raping us (but mainly Guzu) using his both Sword skills

tc512.jpg

c) AWESOME / FUUU moments:

1) Guzu started casting Golem

tc513.jpg

But Gaff decided to intervene using Duskblade

tc514.jpg

tc515.jpg

:(

After some turns she tried it again, but once more:

tc516.jpg

2) She tried to summon Bahamut

tc517.jpg

But was once again interrupted

tc518.jpg

3) Eventually, she was able to cast Golem

tc519.jpg

tc520.jpg

tc521.jpg

Which showed his usefulness right away

tc522.jpg

tc523.jpg

:troll:

d) Units' performance:

1) Ramza:

Tried using Rend ONLY once

tc524.jpg

With great success

tc525.jpg

tc526.jpg

But this brought the enemy from 267 HP to 167 HP.

:D

He was also powerful hitter, even without aim

tc527.jpg

tc528.jpg

Thanks to his concentration, he was also our main executioner

tc529.jpg

tc530.jpg

Eventually, he prevented Gaff from using his Sword skills by stealing all his MP with MagickSap

tc531.jpg

Inclined by spirit eating:

tc589.jpg

2) WC:

Was kicking much ass using jump

tc590.jpg

And Aim

tc591.jpg

He was also hard as fuck to kill

tc592.jpg

tc593.jpg

But he was the only unit who lost a part of equipment (helmet)

tc594.jpg

In the final phase of the battle, he was able to finish off two enemies

tc595.jpg

And feast upon their spirits (2nd one gave only 'Recover HP/MP):

tc596.jpg

3) Guzu:

It required some Ethers (wasted by our dear guests  ), but she got a chance to kick some ass both in offensive

tc597.jpg

tc598.jpg

tc599.jpg

tc600.jpg

and defensive

tc661.jpg

4) Bee:

Not as strong in melee as Ramza or WC, but decent enough

tc602.jpg

tc603.jpg

When she was able to hit something, that is...

tc604.jpg

She could also revive / heal

tc605.jpg

tc606.jpg

She found a new dress

tc607.jpg

And put it on right away

tc608.jpg

5) Agrias:

Her sword skills were useless against Gaff (huge gap in levels)

tc609.jpg

tc610.jpg

And way too weak against regular enemies

tc611.jpg

But she grabbed a treasure for us

tc612.jpg

6) Delita:

His Holy Knight skills looked impressive on screen:

tc613.jpg

But he wasn't able to KO anybody (decline, since during my training attempt he was kicking much ass)

tc614.jpg

He performed much better when he run out of MP

tc615.jpg

But he wasted a lot of our precious Hi-Ethers

tc616.jpg

Fortunately, in later phase he showed some skill

tc617.jpg

7) Ovelia:

Mainly acted as support unit (powerful buffs), but at some point she decided to proove that white mages can be useful in offensive as well

tc618.jpg

tc619.jpg

tc620.jpg

:smug:

Anyway, we were again successful!

:yeah:

Video 25. Reunion with Delita

Our new destination - Lionel Castle:

tc621.jpg

Ovelia joins us as a guest:

tc622.jpg

She's a

by occupation:

tc623.jpg

Her job allows her to use some p. cool abilities:

tc624.jpg

tc625.jpg

tc626.jpg

tc627.jpg

a) Action abilities (Holy Magicks):

1) Aegis: Reraise, Regen, Protect, Shell, Haste
2) Dispelna: removes ALL possible negative status effects

We go back to Dorter, visit the tavern:

tc628.jpg

tc629.jpg

Buy new items:

tc630.jpg

Ashura: Attack 8, Block 35
Kotetstu: Attack 9, Block 35

tc631.jpg

Serpent Staff: Attack 5, Block 20, target receives random status effect: Reraise/Regen/Protect/Shell/Haste/Reflect
Cypress Pole: Attack 6, Block 30

tc632.jpg

Wizard's Hat: HP+40, MP+12, mAT+1

tc633.jpg

Adamant Vest: HP+36

And check new character profiles:

Cardinal Delacroix

tc634.jpg

Master Darlavon

tc635.jpg

It's incline time again!

Ramza continues his path to samuraihood, switching to monk

tc636.jpg

And talking about samuraihood, Bee...

tc637.jpg

:yeah:

New job available!

samurai.jpg
Samurai

Uses Iaido techniques to attack using katanas' spirits
Innate abilities: Doublehand
Requires: Knight Lv4, Monk Lv5, Dragoon Lv3

a) Action abilities (Iaido):

This stuff influences both enemies and allies in range

1) Ashura (70): Fire attack (radius 3h2v)
2) Kotetsu (120): Dark attack (radius 3h2v)
3) Osafune (170): absorbs MP (radius 3h2v)
4) Murasame (250): restores HP (radius 3h2v)
5) Ama-no-Murakumo (300): Slow (radius 3h2v)
6) Kiyomori (350): Protect + Shell (radius 3h2v)
7) Muramasa (400): Confuse + Doom (radius 3h2v)
8) Kiku-ichimonji (450): 4-directional attack (radius 5h2v)
9) Masamune (600): Regen + Haste (radius 3h2v)
10) Chirijiraden (700): attacks only enemies (radius 3h3v)

b) Reaction abilities:

1) First Strike (900): Attack before being physically attacked

c) Support abilities:

1) Equip Katana (150): Equip katana regardless of job
2) Doublehand (500): Wield weapon in both hands (doubles physical power)

d) Movement ability:

1) Swim (150): Act in deep water as it was solid land

Bee learns Kotetsu and reaches her final job:

tc638.jpg

WC could switch to samurai as well

tc639.jpg

But since he's more interested in the way of the ninja, he switches to archer for now

tc640.jpg

Steve switches to White Mage - we have to test those modified Calculators sooner or later... He grabs Ovelia's Mage's Cloak (pEV 18, mEV 18, mAT+1):

tc641.jpg

Guzu switches to whitey as well. Thanks to her Green Beret, she doesn't even have to use Heavy Armor...

tc642.jpg

DR keeps his dragoonhood:

tc643.jpg

Sov will act either as Orator (random battles) or Mystic (story battles):

tc644.jpg

I'm going to equalize all units to Lv 20, and after that, we will hit the road again:

tc645.jpg

tc646.jpg

We will need 3 soldiers for next story battle - who wants to go?

I don't know how much alike is this game to 1.3 but word of advice: If you're gonna grind, you HAVE to steal stuff, otherwise you'll reach a point where your opponents will have way too good equipment for your leather hat wearing ass.

It's equalizin' time!

:yeah:

Bee switches back to thief (she lacks Move+2)

tc852.jpg

DR learns HJump 5 and VJump 3.
Our team visits all cities and buys new items:

tc702.jpg

Platinum Dagger: Attack 6, Block 10, Speed +1

tc703.jpg

Coral Sword: Attack 8, Block 25, +Thundara

tc704.jpg

Mythril Helm: HP+65

tc705.jpg

Plate Mail: HP+80

Finally, we bump into some enemies in Fovoham Windflats

tc706.jpg

Unfortunately, this thing DR was talking about happens - we are barely able to deal with regular monsters!

tc707.jpg

tc708.jpg

tc709.jpg

tc710.jpg

tc711.jpg

To make things worse, the bird was almost impossible to hit due to his 'First Strike' ability - his preemptive attack was canceling our attacks (or killing the attacker...)

tc712.jpg

I was able to complete this mission only by pure luck and 2 restarts...
At least DR got a chance to kick more ass - he poached all enemies!

tc713.jpg

NT1FG.jpg

So another stupid thing about FFT 1.3 - you have to proceed through the campaign in a 'window of levels' of sorts - not too low (shitty units) but not too high (godlike enemies in random encounters).
Fucking modders!

Bee learns Move+2 and goes back to her samurai job, Guzu learns Esuna.
WC learns Purification, Poach and Torrent and switches to Geomancer

tc752.jpg

tc753.jpg

Steve learns Esuna and Sylph, switches back to his old staff (more useful in pure offense)

tc754.jpg

Sov switches to orator

tc755.jpg

There are only two units < Lv 20 (Steve and Sov), but since WC is 2 job levels from becoming a ninja, he should continue his equalizing further.
Our three brave men attack some dudes in the Siedge Weald:

tc756.jpg

It's the usual 2 orators, a goat and an evil eye team.
Steve casts Titan, which is useful this time

tc757.jpg

Sov's orator skills are totally useless (very low accuracy - I think we should switch him to some other secondary job - Bard or Calculator...)

tc758.jpg

Steve massacres enemies using Bahamut

tc759.jpg

Sov kicks ass using his Mystic Arts

tc760.jpg

He's one of the most useful units now, mainly thanks to his 'Hesitation' skill - taking an enemy out of a battle for a couple of turns is very good idea..
We continue plying with the remaining goat, until Sov has enough of it

tc761.jpg

This battle allowed WC to reach AND master a new job!

tc767.jpg

tc768.jpg

mime.jpg
Mime

A warrior who has abandoned his/her own identity, instead mimicking actions of allies in battle
Innate abilities: Beastmaster, Concentration, Brawler
Requires: Lv2 in all jobs except Samurai, Ninja, Sage, Bard and Dancer

a) Action abilities (Mimic): none

b) Reaction abilities: none

c) Support abilities: none

d) Movement ability: none

Way too random to be of any real use, IMO...
Sov learns Preach and Stall. It's time for the final grinding session in Mandalia Plain:

tc769.jpg

Three fluffy kittens this time. Steve rapes two of them using Odin and Ifrit

tc770.jpg

We play with remaining kitty till WC reaches Geo Lv 3

tc771.jpg

And Sov and Steve reach Lv 20.
Due to many weak attacks from our soldiers, the kitty was able to reach Speed=13 (innate counter)

tc772.jpg

Sov kills him.
WC is finally ready to step onto the shadow path. He learns Tanglevine, Contortion and Shuriken and switches to ninja:

tc773.jpg

:yeah:

ninja.jpg
Ninja

Agile and stealthy warrior who can Throw shit weapons at enemies
Innate abilities: Dual Wield
Requires: Archer Lv4, Thief Lv5, Geomancer Lv3

a) Action abilities (Throw):

1) Shuriken (50)
2) Bomb (70)
3) Knife (100)
4) Sword (100)
5) Flail (100)
6) Katana (100)
7) Ninja Blade (100)
8) Polearm (100)
9) Stick (100)
10) Knight's Sword (100)
11) Book (100)

b) Reaction abilities:

1) Vanish (200): Invisible at HP loss
2) Reflexes (300): Increases evade at physical / magickal attack

c) Support abilities:

1) Dual Wield (800): use weapons in both hands regardless of job

d) Movement ability:

1) Waterwalking (220): Walk across and stop on the surface of water

Sov learns Enlighten, switches back to mystic and grabs a pole.
Both mages go back to Equip Heavy Armor - they should put best helmets on during story battles.
Our gests prepare themselves just in case... (Agrias learns Northwain's Strike):

tc774.jpg

tc775.jpg

It's time to buy some shurikens for WC:

tc776.jpg

And kick more ass!

tc777.jpg

tc778.jpg

tc779.jpg

tc780.jpg

14. Zaland

tc781.jpg

We can see some blonde faggot, trying to run away from some other faggots:

tc714.jpg

tc715.jpg

tc716.jpg

tc717.jpg

tc718.jpg

tc719.jpg

tc720.jpg

tc721.jpg

We have a choice here:

tc722.jpg

1) Is easier - it gives us 'Kill all enemies' objective, and Mustadio will stay KOed when KOed
2) Is much more difficult, since we can't allow enemies to KO Mustadio - in such situation we will get Game Over

Oh well, let's try something difficult (2):

tc723.jpg

tc724.jpg

tc725.jpg

And protect they did!

Enemies: (a little bit damaged since I forgot to take screenshots at the beginning of the battle)

tc726.jpg

tc727.jpg

tc728.jpg

tc729.jpg

tc730.jpg

tc731.jpg

Only the beginning of the battle was interesting...

:/

Enemies concentrated on raping Mustadio:

tc732.jpg

tc733.jpg

Sov healed Mustadio just in time

tc734.jpg

Enemy mystic would rape him in next turn

tc735.jpg

Not long after that, Mustadio heals

tc736.jpg

And hides away, which allows us to rape the enemies without worrying about him

The late part of the battle was more about bringing units to Lv 22 (WC's level) than everything else...

tc737.jpg

After a long sadomasochistic session, Ramza ends the battle

tc738.jpg

:obviously:

tc739.jpg

tc740.jpg

tc741.jpg

tc742.jpg

a) What went well:

P. much everything actually. :D

b) What didn't go well

1) WC was kicking much ass both in offense and defense (see below). Unfortunately, at one point enemy's Aurablast was too much for him

tc743.jpg

Yeah - monks are fucking strong here...

I was worrying that Sov won't make it in time to revive WC (Ramza was too busy in other area), but Agrias inclined the situation:

tc744.jpg

2) Enemy monks could revive fallen enemies quickly

tc745.jpg

But that's only a problem of choosing next target. And Mustadio's gun is very useful here

tc746.jpg

tc747.jpg

d) Unit's performance

1) Ramza:

Made dealing with mages easier

tc748.jpg

Able to rape enemies both by jumping (esp. great idea when enemy targets him with magick)

tc749.jpg

And regular attacks

tc750.jpg

Learned some stuff by spiritual devouring

tc751.jpg

tc762.jpg

2) Sov:

Was able to disable enemy monk in perfect moment

tc763.jpg

tc764.jpg

That was the crucial point of the battle - with only one dangerous enemy left, we were able to deal with this mission easily.

:salute:

Able to fuck enemy mages' plans too

tc765.jpg

3) DR

Due to his 'Aim', he was able to kill almost every enemy with 2 hits max

tc766.jpg

tc782.jpg

:smug:

4) WC

Introducin'... ninjas!

:yeah:

Inhuman range and evade - probably the only unit that can ram into group of enemies, kill somebody in one attack, survive attacks from the rest and GTFO in next turn...

tc783.jpg

tc784.jpg

tc785.gif

Huge chance that he actually hits something due to dual wielding - two attacks = >100 damage

tc786.gif

He can also attack from a range with 'Throw'

tc787.jpg

tc788.jpg

Ninja + Equip Heavy Armor >>> Samurai IMO

tc789.jpg

Our kills looks much more impressive now

Ludovich Beart

tc793.jpg

Mustadio uses a special job - mechanist

tc794.jpg

a) Action abilities (Aimed Shot):

1) Leg Shot: +Immobilize
2) Arm Shot: +Disable
3) Seal Evil: Petrifies undead (+Stone)

Ramza learns VJump 8 and Beastmaster and switches to monk - making him a ninja is tempting...
Bee switches to geomancer for identical reasons

tc795.jpg

Other units keeps their jobs. We have two new items:

tc796.jpg

Mage's staff: Attack 4, Block 20, mAT+1
Romandan Pistol: Attack 6, Block 5, Range 8, Chemist&Orator only

It's time to equalize all units to Lv. 22!

tc797.jpg

tc798.jpg

tc799.jpg

tc800.jpg

tc801.jpg

But when we try moving from Zaland, we get a scene

Video 27. Ovelia's Misgivings

tc802.jpg

An EPIC lesbian romance? More likely than you think...

:obviously:

Well, let's kill some harmless animals!

:yeah:

Unfortunately, random encounters get worse and worse by the level!
It's like this thing DR and Betamin were talking about...

:(

We tried our luck in Zeirchele Falls

tc803.jpg

Encountered 3 kittens and 3 derp ones

tc804.jpg

Which meant... rape.

Kittens can inflict Slow+Potion, break casters' charge and are faster and faster with each hit

tc809.jpg

:(

No big deal, but Deep ones are much worse.

1) They will counterattack with strong geomancy (Nature's Wrath) when attacked

tc805.jpg

tc806.jpg

tc811.jpg

tc812.jpg

tc815.jpg

tc816.jpg

2) They will use a status-changing attack (Mind Blast) with high accuracy, that costs them 0 MP

tc807.jpg

tc808.jpg

It can hit up to 5 targets at once, BTW.

3) They can rape us with regular ranged attack (Aqua Breath), MP-free as well

tc813.jpg

4) They can also heal/speed up using their attacks (Speed Wave)

tc810.jpg

tc814.jpg

That's the main problem when dealing with animals in 1.3 - they not only get insane level bonuses, but most of the time you can't fight a battle of exhaustion against them, like you can against humans - fuckers simply won't run out of MP/items...

We were struggling using quickloads and different approaches, but eventually got

pBpOJ.jpg

JO3jD.jpg

We skipped this location and tried our luck in Araguay Woods

tc817.jpg

Only to find 3 skeletons and 2 malBROs...

yzWll.jpg

Skeletons are fast as fuck and can use Graviga, MP-free of course:

tc818.jpg

This spell not only damages us

tc819.jpg

But heals targeted skeletons as well

tc820.jpg

To make things more interesting, it can hit up to 5 units...

But skeletons are not that bad actually - multiheaded dicks are much worse. They can smack us up with physical attack, but most of the time they will use a status-changing attack with huge area of effect:

tc821.jpg

tc822.jpg

Yeah! It can inflict more than one negative status!

iDsoV.jpg

We were struggling a bit

tc823.jpg

But were owned moments later (two units petrified, two confused)

JO3jD.jpg

I tried Araguay Woods again, only to meet this:

tc824.jpg

Two allied ents, 4 bombs and 2 tiamats

JO3jD.jpg

We were finally lucky (same location again) - two skeletons and three marlBROs - that should be a piece of cake!

tc825.jpg

Ramza get Confused+Stoned, but Guzu was able to fix him with Esuna

tc826.jpg

In the meantime, Steve launched Bahamut

tc827.jpg

Thank god that the dicks counterattack only with Regenerate...
Steve died from tentacle rape

tc828.jpg

But DR was able to take his first multiheaded trophy!

tc829.jpg

Guzu got tentacle raped twice, survived and striked back, using Bahamut

tc830.jpg

:salute:

The rest is formality

tc831.jpg

BTW, I'm curious what we're going to get when we FINALLY find a poach shop...

tc832.jpg

OMG, we were able to survive a random encounter!

:yeah:

Our not-so-brave now team continues to more civilized area.
Bee learns Wind Slash, Sov switches to White Mage - he's a perfect candidate for a Bard:

tc833.jpg

We meet some resistance in Lenalian Plateau

tc834.jpg

Rather shitty one

tc835.jpg

A straightforward battle, spent mostly on leveling-up and ended by Steve's new wand

tc836.jpg

It's time to go back on track - Steve and Guzu are still Lv. 21 but we can live with that I think...

Mustadio learns Arm Shot and Parry:

tc837.jpg

Other guest grab regular equipment

tc838.jpg

tc839.jpg

Bee learns Quicksand and Ignore Elevation. She can become a kunoichi now:

tc840.jpg

Steve learns Holy and switches to Black Mage. Guzu switches to Time Mage. Both of them are very close to reaching Calculator.
They can switch to mimes as well:

tc841.jpg

DR is ready to kick more ass (Squire skipped since he's close to mastering this job anyway):

tc842.jpg

Sov learns Esuna, Ignore Elevation, Corruption, Quiescence & Concentration and switches to... chemist. We need some chemist JP for new items that hopefully show up soon.

:(

Just check out these mean motherfuckers!

tc843.jpg

tc844.jpg

tc845.jpg

tc846.jpg

tc847.jpg

tc848.jpg

tc849.jpg

Another new location awaits us:

tc850.jpg

tc851.jpg

We need 3 soldiers - who wants to go?

Nice update. Whether or not the poaching pays off is hard to say- there are rare and common poaches for each monster. A lot of it is junk like hi potions and crap, but some of it is really nice weapons and such.

Send me in! For shits and giggles, turn me back into a chemist and give me a gun for this battle, with Arts of War secondary, and I guess equip armor for support. Guns + Arts of War is something you gotta try out at least once.

After the next battle, I think you can get the next axe at Lionel. Set me back up as a dragoon with equip axe and martial arts when that happens. Learn the best jump abilities then the reaction skill when you can.

Also: Why is everyone half naked?
