I don't think that Bio has a choice anymore. They MUST pump a lot of fast-selling, short development cycle games (which means action games) or they join Origin, Looking Glass, Westwood, Bullfrog, and Pandemic. Now that Pandemic is gone (the honeymoon didn't last long, did it?), Bio is under the double pressure to deliver. Not that I expect it to save them.

I'm not commie so earning money is OK in my book but the old Bioware liked to make and play games too, today it's only the way to get more money by selling cheap e-porn to 12 year old cosoltards and perverts. So if they sold their souls to EA for $ they deserve everything. Go get them guys. :salute:
BTW when AoD will be completed VD?

So the levelscaling is as bad as in Oblivius?

No, I don't think the level scaling is as bad, by the end of the game there are runes that you can purchase that increase your attributes by some gaudy numbers (like +4) that basically overpower your character to steamroll anything in your way, because your 'levels' are still kept in check. There are many opportunities to achieve such status using equipments and the like, including purchasing upgrades for your companions' armor.

There are a couple of encounters in the game that really stress the tactical nature of its combat, in achievement tied creature hunts where one goes up against some very powerful foes.

2) NPCs. The only tolerable ones I found are Varric and Isabella. I keep Anders along but just because there isn't any other option aside from the annoying elf. And now a rant:

IMO, the novelity of Isabella vanish quickly. Soon you will grow tired of her constant banter about how much sex she has. She is a slut that looks like a slut and only talks about sex, but you can't have sex with until the next phase.

This will be the first bioware game I don't have any romance for my character. I mean if I manage to continue playing it.

Yeah she gets on my nerves also.
Now i have no illusions of grandeur and almost every one i have spent a few nights with where well EASY so i have great love and appreciation for these "open minded" women.

The issue is that bioware seem to think that a take charge badass women is almost purely tied to her sexuality and she has nothing to say other then "COCK COCK COCK COCK COCK COCK".

SO right now the choices are Merril the mentally challenged elf, Super slut women, Broody elf and EMO Mage.

You know what's retarded? How Orsino transforms himself into an abomination stating that it's "the only way to win" (or something along those lines) despite the fact that you just slaughtered all the templar who attempted to arrest you. It would've made some sense if he did that before the fight, but really there was no need to do so afterwords... And the fight with Fenris was pathetic, they should've made him lead some huge templar battalion, insead he just attacks you with like 5 guys or something. Atleast you get to kill him, and hopefully he stays dead unlike Zevran from DA:O.

Nice find Roguey.
I think the "influence from above" part goes without saying. When EA bought Bio and Pandemic they stated that the goals (to justify the 860 mil price tag) were 10 (!) new franchises in the "next few years", $300 mil in annual revenue in 2009 and 2010, more in the following years.

Yeah, I too don't see Bioware lasting very long either. They will finally crack under the pressure of having to crank games out games with short dev times and mandated and forced "accessibly" designs, sadly it is now clearly showing. I pretty much expect Mass Effect 3 to be the last remnant of a "Bioware" like game we will see from them.

If they do crash, and burn big deal. There will be other games to play and all the talented devs will find worke evntually. I cana slo see some making their own companies. Circle of life and all that.

The fact they've survived for over 10 eyars making hit over hit is definitely a strong history that beats 3 games of avriant quality that couldn't sell shit sherlock that got the point that no publisher didn't want to take the risk of being the scapegoat for their screwups.

I feel like I just visited kindergarten.

But I guess you just like all their characters since you don't have anything intelligent to say.

Eh?

1. You surely didn't have any intelligent to say.
2. And you have not actually said anything in any way defending the character, instead you tried the classic "attack the poster" instead.

Step up the plate or hide in shame.

The clock is ticking. No doubt ME3 will be the last singleplayer game by Bioshit worth playing.

And SWTOR will be crucial. If that tanks, it having turned out to be Warhammer with 20 gigs of voiced dialogue and a 500 million dollar price tag, Bioshit will disappear, perhaps even before the empty servers merge.

Believe me, anyone who wastes their time posting on the internet about video games is lacking intelligence. Everyone. No exceptions.

Arguing with you is indeed a waste of time. Just like cigarettes you come with a huge disclaimer in bold letters shaped in the form of meaningless bullshit, thanks for remembering us, my sweet big breasted princess.

I don't think EA can directly pressure Bio without getting past Ray and Greg first. Remember they're both EA bigwigs too now and I don't think they would do anything to damage their own company.

Those decisions pertaining to the latest games being more action-driven is just a design decision Bioware has made, not EA.

Ray and Greg control shit in the great scheme of things. Even before EA, Bioware was owned by a private equity firm, but they still controlled the company at that time. If SW:Tor tanks, EA will somehow want to cut the loose ends. Dragon Age 2 is probably their way to show Bioware can still be profitable no matter the success they have with Tor.
