To scale walls and climb high buildings in Deus Ex, do this:

Take a grenade and plant it on the wall.

Jump on top of grenade.

Plant another grenade on the wall.

Jump on top of second grenade.

Pick up first grenade.

Plant grenade on wall.

Jump on grenade.

Repeat, and you will be on top of Hong Kong skyscrapers much faster than you think, and will find a whole bunch of interesting stuff there. Even a certain immortal Chinese character, whom you can try throwing down from the building through grenades, so that you can provoke him on Hong Kong streets afterwards when nobody is looking, and have him run after you. He'll come at you with weapons, police will notice, and the entire Hong Kong police will be locked into a fight with him. Hell, you might even finish off the entire Hong Kong police through him.
