Not only is an extra click required for any button rating, but also the list of button ratings was re-arranged substantially from what it had been but without any improvement in terms of grouping together related buttons.

Note that my copium rating was added after the :feelsgoodman: rating, which made sense, and they are still grouped together. However, some other pairs or larger groupings have been broken up, such as the creative and artistic ratings being consecutive or the animated doggy and kitty ratings being consecutive.

Some suggested groupings that make sense:

In particular I highly recommend the max-width tweak (I like the 90% suggested by Tavar, but others prefer 98-100% I would suggest tweaking this to taste) and also setting the fonts back to the ones used on the old site.

I love how every time this happens on any forum the admin gets bitched at for a non paying job until they eventually quit the forum years later due to being tired of fucking with nonsense for ungrateful people. Granted Taluntain gets a little too uppity from time to time and this whole thing looks ugly and is not working properly but what it has been a day or two?

We just need to wait for the DLC and the inevitable Enhanced Edition.

Seeing the miracles Twiglard is making (and already made), the forum will be in an acceptable state sooner or later. In priority order, the next thing we need is a general decluttering of posts. As FreeKaner said, removing the unnecessary words and symbols would already go a long way on its own:

CTRL + to increase width and CTRL - to decrease width is standard in both Mozilla and Opera. So I would be very surprised if it didn't work for you. But of course it's easier to whine about the default not scaling to your level.

Tavar I don't think it's feasible to use any color scheme other than the old one due to the amount of righteous anger.

Jenkem it's the first /xf2/ style that was optimized for mobile, the one with ugly-ass rounded corners and large padding everywhere. This is the default XF2 style with mods applied.

- There's now a fixed width theme.
- Font family and text should be the same as XF1
- Shitbox text padding and size are now same as XF1
- Page looks fine on mobile with no changes (portrait and landscape), but it's a Mi A2 with a 1080p display.
- Edit and Delete buttons are now on the top right
- Brofist icon is now aligned with the rest of the right actionbar

I was referring to your last sentence about users hating change. The Codex is notorious for hating change. Nobody needs specialist web designer knowledge to be able to write constructive criticism. There are plenty of examples of such coherent posts in the last few replies here.

I think this is a bad argument. "They don't like change therefore whatever criticism they make it's not valid", just means that users opinion don't matter.
I think that new forum are less readable than the old one, I don't know what caused this. I zoomed the site to 120% and it's still less readable than the old one. I also hate the borders on the left and right, my eyes are drawn towards them.

Switch to the full width version as per the bottom left corner. No more borders.

I made the reactions icon (brofist) clickable to make it consistent with the alerts button now.

This is like the worst possible """fix""" that could've been done and it has taken away all my desire to use buttons now. Good job.

Give me at least the CSS code so I can revert it back on my end if you intend to keep it that way (which is absolute decline and as Nano said, more clicks = a NO-NO from an usability standpoint).
