what's the price point anyway

9 USD and standard steam setting for other currencies. Same price on itch and any other storefront. It will probably change at the end of Early Access since i think it will have more content than what 9 bucks is worth. That will be TBD.

There is a warning about the game not being tested for Steam Deck so you might be running into some shit, but it should be playable... maybe. I need to buy a steamdeck soon so i can do actual testing.

as long as it emulates well under Proton and text remains legible it's alright
Steam Deck can mimic mouse input and a modest number of keyboard shortcuts comfortably
it obviously fares best under the regular ass Xbone controller input scheme

Hi everyone! Since the game is coming out very soon, I thought I’d throw up a short roadmap so you would know what the development process looks like for this game.

Like I promised during the crowdfunding phase, the development period for BSI will be hyper fast. In fact, I anticipate it taking no more than 4-5 months after the Early Access launch. This is mostly due to the fact that BSI is a shorter game, and because I am now a more experienced gamedev (hopefully).

That doesn’t mean BSI isn’t important. No, instead I think it will be one of the most important games in my ongoing series. Since its inception, BSI has gone from a joke game to something I’ve been looking forward to very much: it will explain much of the cosmology behind the series.

Here, we’ll explore the epic, cosmic lore that never could find a home in my (slightly) more grounded games.

But first, some dates and predictions:

April - The Dwarves

The second Wilds area, including new Dwarven-themed enemies and a boss. Also, some additional equipment and items. More fleshed-out skill-trees.

May - The Elves

The third Wilds area, including new Elven-themed enemies and a boss.

June - New Game+ and the Final Area, preparation for 1.0

Allows for the standard ending and New Game+ mode, which unlocks the fourth Wilds area with a mystery theme and boss. Preparing for 1.0 launch.

July - Backer content

Includes all backer and stretch goals content from the crowdfunding!

Tell us more about the dwarves and the elves.

Normally they're so stereotipically portrayed that I wonder if a parody made by you will turn that dial to 11 or subvert it.

It's probably best if you play the game if you're interested. There's not too much to say, there's some jokes and there's some lore about the races (that exist in the setting outside of the isekai).

Come to think of it, I guess I am solidifying myself as a lore-based porn dev. Weird, but whatever, it's what I enjoy.

nigga didn't lie that the game gonna be crude
impressively ugly UI my dude

RPGmaker games will probably always have bad UI, there's too much hard-coding to work around that even people who work with it professionally (omori, fear&hunger) gave up on trying to make it better.

The ugly is probably my fault though.

So, I've got some minor drama brewing as someone is trying to cancel me on steam because they're on an anti-AI crusade, accused me of doing a bunch of stuff I didn't do, and is now deleting a bunch of comments pointing out that they're wrong. Now they're getting chewed out by steam users for censoring the review thread.

If you want to check it out: https://steamcommunity.com/id/cyberweasel89/recommended/2610440/

Lol. The life of a gamedev is never boring.
