  1. Is Bethesda inclined?

Bethesda are horrible. All theyve ever done is release the same game over and over again, removing more and more gameplay features with each new iteration. They should stop with skyrim; the 10/10 scores were from some of the most fraudulent reviewing i've ever seen.
  2. RPG Codex Top 50 cRPGs - Retards who cannot read and Discussion thread

Fuck you faggot I am the only rpg. Dog cunt.
  3. Savescumming: why it ruins CRPGs (my recent realization)

Savescumming is a symptom of powergaming. Powergaming is good as it demonstrates interest in the underlying rpg mechanics. This means the game is good. Theres nothing worse than an uninteresting game which fails to capture the gamers attention to the point where the builds are uninteresting.
  4. RPG Codex Top 50 cRPGs - Retards who cannot read and Discussion thread

Lol @ Ultima 7. Adventure games basically. Le turd rpg elements that do exist. Replaying BG2 ATM with a half-orc babarian dual-wielding axes and flails. Last played it about 8 years ago. Tis a sweet RPG, to be sure. Nails the feeling of progression and being owned if you go the wrong way that...

    The Witcher = Le Turd.

  7. NWN2 Rogue Builds

The combat is so easy in all the NWN2 games that the concept of "builds" is redundant. Roll a straight thief using a cursed dagger and you will still steamroll everything. It's actually very unsatisfying to put effort and time into planning a build only to realize it makes no difference whatsoever.
  8. RPGs with actual Choices and Consequences

NWN2 even gives you c&c before the game starts, namely the choice to uninstall the game because of the atrocious camera.
  9. Exceptionally good ideas in Role Playing Games

Random loot from bosses/chests etc. Seen in IWD, wiz, and arpgs. Adds replay ability and excitement to the game particularly where the loot is guaranteed to be high level. In this regard gambling systems are great ideas such as d2's system.
  10. should i play arcanum

Played this through once as a Mage and I remember combat was broken with the harm spell being too uber. Had very memorable towns and c+c tho. Will replay with a technologist now and see if its any better.
  11. Enlighten Me: What's so Great about Spiderweb Games?

Nothing. Picked up avernum escape from the pit for iPad while on holidays. Only played for a few hours before deleting. Very bland art style, boring kill this quests, uninspired world and poor dialogue. Shitloads of repetitive fights against trash mobs. Boring magic system, poor itemization...
  12. Might and Magic The Might and Magic Discussion Thread

It's Lawrence Aleman in free haven, not new haven. Check item 21 on the map at http://www.mightandmagicwalkthrough.com/mightandmagic6/c/regions/free-haven-regions Only played 3,6,7 but 6 is my favourite for the world and the dungeons. 3 felt repetitive and 7 merely more of the same but of...
  13. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning?

Just played the intro of this till you get out of the castle and into the first zone. The camera in my view makes the game unplayable. Its zoomed in so close you can barely see where youre going. It prevents you from seeing the world and makes combat annoying, and it cant be adjusted. The game...
  14. RPGs with actual Choices and Consequences

Baldurs gate - in beregost theres a guy in the inn who will either attack you, leave you alone or befriend you and give significant xp depending on whether you pick the right dialogue choices. You can choose to kill drizzt and get the best weapons and armour in the game if youre able to. If you...
  15. Popular Rpgs that you tried but never was able to finish?

Drakensang the River of Time: Started out fairly charming but the combat became extremely repetitive and I totally lost interest in the story. The character development was also poor with level-ups being more or less pointless, so there was little sense of progression. Felt too much like an MMO...
