Alright, bros, we all know the Codex loves and cherishes Paradox's grand strategy games.
So its time to put that love to test.
Let's play multiplayer games!

But which ones?
Suggestions:
EU3 Magna Mundi
EU3 Divine Wind MEIOU
Victoria 2 (dunno which mod)
Hearts of Iron 3 (modded, obviously)

So let's get CRACKING!!

Hamachi Network: Codex Paradox
Password: kkk

IMPORTANT FILES YOU SHOULD DOWNLOADAN:
EDIT: Patch links removed because Paradox don't like people to download their patches without fascinazi registration. PM me for patches.
EU3 2gb fix and stuffies: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?535848-MEIOU-TD-Important-info-2Gb-Fix-Tutorial (might alter checksum, fine Codexian technomajickians please make perfomance comparisons)

If anyone wants to play, let's start organizing! Post the following to help organize things:
Codex Nick
Timezone
Internet Bandwidth
Owned Games

PLAYER LIST: (this is to make some info easier to organize things)

The Brazilian Slaughter:
Timezone: GMT -3 hours (Northern Brazil)
Internet Bandwidth: 1 mbps
Owned Games:
- Europa Universalis 3 Magna Mundi
- Victoria 2

Garfunkel:
Timezone: Currently East Coast Time, so UTC/GMT-5
Internet Bandwidth: Bandwidth is 10Mps, but shared, so its "jiffy".
Owned Games:
- HOI3 only

Flying Spaghetti Monster:
Timezone: Kwanzania East Coas (GMT -5)
Bandwidth: 25mb/s (HOLY FUCK!!)
Games:
- Europa Universalis 3
- Victoria 2
- Hearts of Iron 3

Chef_Hathaway:
Timezone: Kwan East Coast aka EST/GMT -5
Bandwidth: 10 Mbps
Owned Games:
Vicky 2
HoI 3

Demnogonis Saastuttaja
Timezone: GMT +2 (Daylight settings not counted, because its gay)
Bandwidth: 24/1 (mbps?)
Owned Games:
Victoria : Revolutions
EU3 DW
CK
HoI2
HoI3 with expansions that I can't get to work.

Reject_666_6
Timezone: Eastern Standard Time -5 GMT, but because of daylight savings I'm really -4 now.
Bandwidth: Max global speed is 300 kb/s " good enough to play online, which I've done before." (or at least that's he says)
Games:
HOI3 (lol combatfag)

Pony King
Timezone: GMT + 2 ( because of summer time)
Internet Bandwidth: Don't freaking know but it should be enough for playing.
Owned Games : EU2 + EU3(NA + IN + HttT) + CK + Vic 2. I'd probably be willing to buy Divine Wind to play an EU3 game. I actually think I'd prefer EU3 as it is the most balanced.

I could wrap up all the various stuff I did for Vicky 2 and have us go from there. This would include higher casualty rates, a buff modifier for non-GPs, Grand Duchy of Finland, annexation decision for AI-controlled Krakow, new flags, etc.

Heh, would love to play a very :monocle: game with the Codex but I don't know If my shitty connection would allow it.

I could try and appear one day and if things don't go to hell keep from there.

Insert clever insult here
I only have HoI3 on this laptop.

Timezone is currently East Coast Time, so UTC/GMT-5
Bandwidth is 10Mps but I share it with everyone else here so it's jiffy

Got Victoria : Revolutions, EU3 DW, CK, HoI2, HoI3 with expansions that I can't get to work. TZ whatever fucking TZ Finland has. GMT +2 I think. I could as well steal any of them though.

I'll check my bandwith eventually
Own:
Vic2
HoI3
EU3
(And some of the older games and EU:Rome :shudder:)

Victoria 2 sounds like the game that's meant for the Codex, but EU3 I imagine as being ridiculously fun.

Hopes this goes better than about half a year ago when we tried this. We never could agree on a ideal time IIRC.

Always thought a massive Codex game of EU and everyone doing their own AAR of it would be awesome.

I would be down for some Vicky 2, I haven't played in a while though.

I own HOI3, but who gives a shit? We don't have to play on the metaserver, so any pirated copy works just fine.

I'll first need to create a charcoal factory though so 90% of the minors aren't choked for coal, and drastically increase base timber output while I'm at it.

Well a problem with this is the approximately five dozen expansion for every single Paradox game will make it hard for everyone to get the same version so one can play. one would also have to agree on what mods to use if any.

Any way I'm +1 GMT
And got

CK: Deus Vult
EU3 In Nomine
HoI 3, no expansions

EU3, all expansions (Steam version, but can download different version if we're gonna play IN or something)
Victoria 2 (steam version, but can download a proper version anyway)
HoI3, all expansions
GMT+1

I would say that the most playable and fun paradox game in multiplayer atm is EU3 with all the expansions and the latest beta patch. I'm up for vicky2 or hoi3 too, I also have vicky rev and deus vult installed.

With that said I would strongly advise against using mods in mp.
While there are many great mods, I haven't found a single one that doesn't cause constant out of sync errors in MP(including MMP). So if you are willing to waste your time rehosting every 15minutes go for it, otherwise play vanilla.

I'm available every day after 5pm EST.

I've got/can organize any paradox game.

Only problem is timezone and my shitty interbutts connection (means I can't host for shit).

I'm cool if GMT.

Well, if we are going to do something with just a vanilla + patch, I'm going to say Vicky 2, since I need to reinstall it at some point anyway (my modding was done on the 1.3 beta patch).

There's a multiplayer group advertised on the HoI3 boards that uses ICE, and they're on their 4th or 5th game with no problems.

Yea, I'd say the thing is that everyone needs to have the EXACT same modifications, no homebrew additions.

How interested are we in playing HoI though? Vicky and EU offer more oppurtunity for us all to raise hell and will definitely lead to more outrageous moments perhaps?

Right, I joined your shitty network.

And how are exact bandwidth figures important? If you're looking for a host, it's important to note that you need open ports to be able to host, not just a good connection.

Is Hamachi necessary? I can't get that shit working for some reason anymore.

I'm not sure about my bandwith, maybe it's 24/1, possibly 100/1 soon.

I can agree to EU3 such as I understand that one of the new games best.

And I can't play this sunday :)
