The dialog adventure for infiltrating Daratan palace compound with thief skills felt a tad too long for a single dialog sequence and it offers no way to back off. All paths leading to an audience with Antidas felt forced. I understand the alternative routes are designed as a way to get to Antidas without bothering with Dellar's crap, but it shouldn't be inconceivable that a thief would want to infiltrate the compound for reasons other than meeting Antidas.
So in my thief playthrough, I went in with the expectation that I could steal phat lewt from a noble house and sneak out. Nope. I ended up testing every single route in the thing, only to find out everything railroads you towards the throne room. That was the only real moment of frustation I've had with AoD so far.
After sneaking through the compound as a thief, I gotta say it's a shame it can't be explored more openly with shorter dialog choices here and there. Squeezing such a huge area into one huge dialog tree doesn't do it justice.
Yes, but you cannot keep it without going to the throne room or being tortured. Also, you get free gold and centurion armor + helmet if you got thieving skills and open the chest in the barracks.
I'm basically DOA right here. There's a few things I might be able to do and get a few more SP but its looking bleak.
Apparently the jump check is a whopping 10 DEX, I of course have 9 .
My lockpick, which was basically totally unnecessary in Maadoran is like level 5.
My Thief stats after finishing guild quest by siding with Glabrio:
During alternative playthrough where I betrayed guild for Gaelius I finished all these sort of locations. Not sure why you'd want them as a straight bro-thief tho. It's like spend lots SP to get less SP.Did you do anything with the abyss?
Or kill him and walk with him as a drunken friend.
Your best bet would probably be to grind Traps to 6.Wow, what do I have to do in Ganezzar castle?
Your best bet would probably be to grind Traps to 6.
Ah. Well then grind lockpicks then.
I have traps=1.

Surprised they still didn't work more on D&D dungeon.
Oh, yeah, the dude trained me, but still my Traps are far from 6.It's okay, hope you have 9 in lockpick lulz.
BTW. How come you have 1 in Traps, doesn't the guy that escorts you to the tunnels train you in traps (if you ask him for help)?
Edit: Actually nevermind, even with 8 (not 9, my mistake) lockpick there's still a trap ahead.
Will the checks be the same if I started the playthroughI played TG after the update. In Gannezar you will need either traps 5 or lockpick 7 to complete the last mission. Also, traps gives you an extra option during the fight vs the boatmen in Maadoran.
No idea...Will the checks be the same if I started the playthrough
before the patch?
