Stronghold's graphics are so beautiful.

Got bored and decided to dick around with the original Stronghold's campaigns on very hard. Unfortunately, saving the game without admin privileges on Win7 fails without confirmation that it failed, so I ended up losing the progress on a few military missions, getting pissed, and deciding to play through the economic campaign in the meantime.
If it's installed under "Program Files" try checking C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\[APPNAME] for your saves. Win7 UAC sticks anything saved to the apps folder without admin privileges in there. (It may be "Program Files x86" instead in both places)

Thanks for the suggestion, but, sadly, it wasn't there. Searched for it both manually and via the Windows search and came up empty.

Yeah, AppData is a hidden folder and annoyingly Windows search won't look in there. You need to type the path or go to %appdata%. It's caught me out a couple of times.

Ah, sorry about that. I meant that I looked in appdata. Found a bunch of other game folders, but no Stronghold.

Nothing better than playing the only modern tactical shooter with bros

2 infantry teams and 1 combat diver team work together to rescue hostages from the iranian base
Randomized hostage positions.
No respawn, only manliness.

Nothing like a wake up call boss seconds after you did say 'Gee. This game's really easy even on HARD.'

:x

Weeks will pass before I am able to sit again.

Time to restart and try a different party build.

Yep, I'm a sucker for those City shots. So immersive.

I admit, those things genuinely creep me out. OTOH Bugbeasts and Craymen were just so adorable and cute:love:
