This game is damn challenging and good :smug: Similarly to Pathologic, it's confusing and seemingly boring at the beginning, but quickly grows into you and you can't stop playing.

Sine Mora, when it comes to bullet hell shooters - must be the most original corraboration between two different studios. Grasshopper Studios (JP) was responsible for the art direction and sound design, while Digital Reality (HU) handled the 3D assets, programming, story and game design. But I learnt about this after finishing it 7 4 times . The moment I've heard some strange language in the story mode I knew there something different about this game. Not to mention the moody music. Finally I knew it was hungarian language that the animal like people were talking. The whole plot is really interesting, and I was shocked how deadly serious it is compared to the beautiful iddylic landscapes.

After beating the story mode there is an alternative mode, plus arcade without any story and boss fights. The latter one are mostly divided into mini-sections. When you beat to left arm of a giant robo mech, you must destroy right and so on. There are really vicious the closer they are to be destroyed. Nice variation and intense moments when you have most of the screen covered with rockets and projectiles. I mentioned the graphic side of the game, which is full 3d rendered but plays like a 2d shooter. The soundtrack is awesome, many different tracks and they didn't bore me. Although some of them might be suitable more for Silent Hill than Sine Mora. That's right, the music was made by Akira Yamaoka.

Overall great game, completely sstayed under the radar until now. Grab a pad and enjoy this one!

Below average indie shit to me. Graphics get in the way of the bullets (as well as the cinematic panning), story is pretentious furry shit, hit detection is wonky. Lacks the polish newer shmups have like changing speeds to weave through various bullet patterns.

It does look good though, I'll give it that. Well, that's my edgy post for the year.

What game is this?

And so ended the journey of Captain Kalin Chadwick V, most successful prospector I've played so far. Killed a ton of those damn murder robots including a ship and some weird psyker crystal, but it seems you might need to convince all the races and factions to unite to actually beat them. Well, either that or find every planet where they have factories and destroy those. Ah well, still got an entire planet for my hard work and a mighty snazzy title to go with it!
