I don't expect Toriyama's death will have an impact on this, but hoping for no delays.

Having watched the demo playthrough, I agree totally.
Its as boring as it can be.
Pretty much all dragon ball games are like that. The point is to play a game with Toriyama's art style and some people will love it for that alone. The game is very bland and doesn't even do mad max style very well. I ended up killing a bullet sponge scorpion and learning the bike is useless for combat, the robot isn't fun to use and the tank is powerful but boring as fuck before I gave up on it.

Played the demo in my Linux and ... Liked it a lot. The MC is goofy but interesting, and I really liked the very cartoonish tank gameplay. For me who have over 500 hours in WT, using a 88mm cannon against a dinosaur was very cool. I also liked the setting of the game.

So its out and surprisingly its a lot less bland/shit than could be expected judging by demo.

I'll give it a try next weekend probably. It looks fun, and that's all that's needed.

So this is another game which suffers from severe shader compilation lag, hitching from the minute it's started.
Really hard to play when performance is this bad.

At this point people should know that shader compilation stutters go away. Just play for an hour or two and most shader variations will be compiled and cached.

At this point, fuck off with your cope. Playing for a couple of hours when it hitches every 2 seconds is not how you enjoy a game.

I will wait a very large discount to play. But liked the game. At moment, just watched some YT lets plays and seems interesting but too linear for my taste.

Out of curiosity, how much RAM do you have on your system?

I haven't played this game, but I've experienced few issues with games a lot of people bitch about and haven't had many issues, even on my older, far less powerful machine. But I tend to have a boatload of RAM.

Are Indian tech support companies outsourcing to Canada now?
I have 32 gigs, but no, it's a known issue, which many UE games take steps to mitigate by precompiling all shaders on first game launch. Sand Land doesn't do that. That's why the unicorn above was all like, "ungh, just grit your teeth and bear it bro".

Gotcha. I didn't realize it didn't compile shaders, everything modern I've played has done that.
