My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.

window lightning, ship customization, physiqued flails wow... they prioritize superficial garbage like this all the time over more important stuff like writing, reactivity and core system design. Gotta love Simsidian :)

I'm sure it has nothing to do with that being instagram, a site literally about posting pictures and/or superficial garbage. No doubt, JES will soon post numerous pictures of 'important stuff like writing, reactivity, and core system design' at which point you'll complain that it's impossible to see how it fits into the greater whole since it is, again, just a picture.

luj1 The core system design went through an almost complete revision: classes work differently, enchanting works differently, engagement has been changed, etc.

Im sure it will be better than the first however the ruleset is still cancer

I'll give it a shot though, and that's only cause Endurance is out

Yeah man, who needs 170 maps when you can just fill one map with 35 NPCs with shitton of dialogue? Or who needs good animations? Who wants to sheath their weapons after combat? Bleh. This isn't a fucking visual entertainment software. Obsidian should just fire all the graphics artists, animators and hire writers & designers and they should write 1.2+ million words for Deadfire, so much reactivity, such pacing. I'm sure everyone will love that.

Muh screenies.

If they do this, a slider to adjust opacity would be nice.

It's a simple and obvious solution to one of the peskier problems in Pillars, I'm surprised nobody thought of it before.

they had to somehow add impact to per-encounter spells so they opted for windup

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Anything that makes the combat less cluster-fucky and more tactical is welcome.
PoE combat was too fast and with 10 spells going off simultaneously it was really hard to keep up with all the effects... unless you paused literally every second which made everything very tedious. That's basically my main complain about PoE

Has Josh made any statements regarding xp and/or general levelup-speed? PoE rewarded way too much xp in the midgame and trivialized a lot of content pretty quickly, so I'm curious if he has addressed it in any way.

I theorize that leveling will be extremely fast because the levels cap at 20 while PoE1 goes up to 16 with the expansion, so, unless they've made the game humongous (which I doubt), it will be pretty fast.

He has stated that the game will have optional, opt-in encounter scaling within a band of levels.

Other than that, I don't think he has. It would be pretty early at this point anyway.
