From what I've seen barbarians are not suited for ranged weapons because while fighting from distance they don't engage enemies and don't use cleave on them, which is a waste. Chanter buff and debuff charcs around himself and if he's outside of the combat zone both enemies and party members will be outside of his reach. Don't know about other classes.

Are barbarians just fighters who're better against crowds and worse against individuals?

They play like melee Rogues but better against crowds. You really want a tanky front-liner to clump enemies for Barbs to chew through. Paladin abilities like suppress status, combat rez, critical focus are very useful on them as well. Pretty strong for a POTD playthrough although they have some stinker high level talents that need adjusting.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Is Monk viable as a tank, so that he could soak up as many wounds as possible? If so, what stats should I invest in?
I am by no means an expert on the systems of the game, but I have a fairly high resolve for my monk, playing on hard. Deflection helps a lot.

POTD? Oh and does your PC's intelligence, charisma etc effect dialogues substantially?

I haven't been playing for long but intelligence, resolve and might are the most used stats I've seen.

So, given that all stats are supposed to be important, what other stats aside from Might and Con are important?

What about Perception and Intellect? Can they be useful to a Pally?

I'm currently playing an entirely custom-made party. Two Dwarf Fighters, two Aumaua Rogues and two Death Godlike Wizards. Saving the companions for a later playthrough ;)

Playing a female Moon Godlike Monk by the name of Hijiri Byakuren. Thinking of ditching the boring companions and making a full Touhou party. :incline:

Mig = Punch harder
Dex = Punch Faster
Con = Survive more punches
Per = Survive more punches
Int = Punches cover bigger area and last longer
Res = Survive more punches

Also, one of them (Per I think) makes your punches interrupt other peoples punches.

No crossposting from Monk Guide thread here plz.

Anyway, I don't just mean combat. I am talking over all, such as conversation checks and adventuring mini game checks.

Can Pally's use Lay on Hands on themselves?

Kattze - you can substitute punches with whatever your dude does. EG: Int = Spells cover bigger area and last longer. Con = Survive more spells. Dex = Spell faster. :M

I read the manual but some informations are lacking.
Can someone tell me :
1 - how many skills points you got buy level (fix amount by level ?, class/stats dependents ?) ?
2- what each class are good in each skills : i mean they don't have to invest a lot skills point to increase by 1 point a certain skill (only played rogue and notice they are very good in Mechanics, good in Athletic and stealth, normal everything else).
3- how experiences points is shared (divided among party members so playing with a small party will result in more exp to each member ?) ?
4- as i understand it does not matter if the weapon kind of damage is pierce/slash/crush if the weapon in question has the bonus to negate damage threshold, am i right ?

Thanks.
I'm watching Sensuki video right now but it's quite long and have not answer these questions so far (or i miss it).
Edit 5 - can you dual wield pistols ?
6 - have you a penalty using range weapons while in melee range ?

INT will make the Paladin auras cover a wider area and affect party members that are standing further away.

Paladins make excellent tanks, PER and RES add deflection and are good choices if you want to focus on tanking.

*Tips his Morion hat.*
Aristocratic Valian Paladin Dorf from Dracozzi Order here with buckler and rapier; as stats goes I put 16 to Per + Resolve and the rest between intellect and might... So Dorf Musketeer... Maybe even I will buy him musket too as back up weapon.

Not sure how this will be viable in game but anyway first run will RP one played on Normal which should spare the worst of Sawyerist innovations.

Why is everyone playing the pally defensive? Give the man/girl a 2h sword and look how he/she smites evil and delivers great justice.

At least that's what I would do.
