Just wait until you reforge the legendary broken blade of the endless paths... and note that it's probably weaker than the weapon you enchanted yourself.

Since they are allowing us to craft legendary weapons, they should at least allow us to rename them.
Generic crafting (as opposed to situational crafting) is always bad. It's useless if unique items are better than crafted gear or overpowered if unique items are worse. PoE is a case of the latter because it uses an 'item budget' system for all weapons and armor.

P.S. Of course I'm talking only about story-driven RPGs here. Extensive crafting is a must have for any sandbox - for instance, I can't imagine a TES game without it.

It could work had the system been better developed. You have that 12 slot craft limit, but it only serves to stop you from adding superb to any weapon - because having only two ingredients for it in the entire game isn't limiting enough.

You could, for example make your own Fail of Ages using the 12 slots to add nothing but different types of elemental damage to the weapon... but NOOOOOOOO, Sawyer sayz: only one extra damage type per weapon is allowed!

"Modders will fix it" :smug:

But more seriously, I too would've loved something like in BG2 where you have to take parts to Cromwell and he'll make you kickass armor or weapon.
