Anyway, so it seems Aural Network (Mark Morgan) wants to rerelease a lossless, non-crossfading version of the OST, but is awaiting permission from Bethesda. So, errrr, unlikely.

Why the hell would anyone want this? Apart from the old-timey music opening tracks (Maybe and Give Me a Kiss to Build a Dream On), is there any Fallout music that is all that memorable? It is mostly 'atmospheric' tracks.

It's gotten to the point where if something like this is released, I download it whether I think I'm going to like it or not. That way, when it's inevitably yanked offline in a few days, I don't sit around kicking myself. (Learned that the hard way, after Vinyl Fantasy 7, which I remember hating, but still. I like downloading things.)

Yes, yes it is. Now I have OST of Dreamweb, Dune and Fallout. Good stuff.

Just in case anyone is still following this, the Vault Archives release is back up at http://auralnetwork.com/releases . I guess this will help people avoid the waiting times on BN's link if nothing else. Still no lossless, but hopefully now that the download is back online it may become a possibility.
