Tanya was kind to Luke. She killed him with a sharp hit on his carotid, so that he didn't even realize what happened. He did not suffer at all.
A few minutes later, the police arrived, but they didn't find anybody, not even the smallest trace of blood. When Helen and Tom learned about Luke's disappearance, they got desperate: but, within a few years, they started dating and they ended up getting married.
And Tanya? What happened to her? Why did she take Luke's body with her?
I can almost picture her, hidden in an abandoned house outside the city's protective dome, watching over Luke's body, as in adoration.
She is content, poor thing: now she has someone all to herself, forever.>
