Indeed, Wizardry 4 is an absolute bitch. It's the kind of game that will break you like glass within the first 10 minutes, throw the shards in a bag, and repeatedly smack your grandma in the face with it.

The story continues:

My starting statistics, I have 1 H.P. this is great, it's better than 0 H.P.!

In the starting room there is a pentagram so I can summon some pets. I will summon priests because I need the Milwa/Light spell.

The first encounter, I am going to put the thief to sleep.

The thief is dead and here the LOOT:

One of the priests has cast the light spell I can see the door. My name is written on the door.

That's an euphemism. It took me a freaking fortnight to get past the Maze of Wandering. Sure, I was fairly young back in the day, but still... That's when I learned to swear.

Geez, I remember that first room where you needed to use Milwa. Took me a good length of time to figure that out. Unfortunately, that's one of the game's easier puzzles.
