Got this game a few weeks ago and just got around to playing it
Got a mod called World In Flames II - All-In-One which is supposed to be the best/most downloaded WW2 mod
Problem is I can't trade shit. They added this stockpile system for resources means you are limited to a month's worth of each resource. Above that small amount your resources just instantly degrade, ie get wasted. As Canada you overproduce pretty much everything and the point in the previous games was you could trade that for supplies and better relations
Somehow nobody wants to accept any deals. I offer UK a shit load of rare materials, oil, whatever and they won't accept any of (0% negotiation chance) it for even 0.1 money (ie nothing) when they have 20 to spare. I started donating resources for free (ie nothing in exchange) and they accept it... for 2 days before cancelling. Whenever somebody cancels a deal (ie getting stuff for free) your relations get a -10 hit. Meaning you are alienating everybody and making the whole world hate you just because you want to give away free stuff
Devs say they did this to 'fix' the AI which previously you could get good deals from by micro managing
They say use the "auto-trade" system which works "great". This means letting the AI blindly handle all your trades for you. Maybe if it works that could be cool
Except it doesn't work. After a couple months in the only trades the AI managed to find is with Qatar and Ireland for some microscopic amount, meaning decimal points of resource amounts, and 99% of your over production still being thrown away
Seems "auto-trade" works OK for the actually AI opponents. Maybe it also depends on your country, and all the deals are automatically made by the major countries instantly when the game begins, so when it gets to you everybody has all their needs filled
On the official forum I've seen reports of players with East Euro countries actually having revolutions because they can't get enough energy to work a fraction of their factories, not being able to produce even consumer goods sending dissent rocketing
Anybody else have this happen? Is there a setting that can be changed to fix it, preferably revert to Armaggedon trade? Or is this just how the game is "meant to be"?
