In theory it should be. Everything is more detailed and you have more control.

But I don't like the interface and the game runs at a crawl (5 seconds a day) at top speed.

So I'm currently playing Hearts of Iron 2 instead, with the new version of Kaiserreich.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Works noticeably better with the new patch now. It's still 1936 though and no wars are going on, so I expect performance to drop quite a bit later on.
