Halo + KOTOR = Mass Effect (still enjoyed it though)

ME and TW are almost identical games, if you think about it. Both of them are fun, but for wholly different reasons.

At least you can pick a side in The Witcher. Mass Effect doesn't even let you do that, you can only play the same quests with slightly different dialogue (and collar grabbing).

I'm trying to figure out how these two games are "identical", myself.

Mass-Effect is a downward spiral, it's pretty cool when you're in the beginning, but gets progressively worse toward the end, and it's a wonder how tedious it gets even while it's a short game.

The Witcher starts slow, and didn't really suck me in for a long time, but it gets progressively better.

I think it's better that the game improves the more you play, instead of it getting so much worse that you feel let down and don't bother to finish it.

I dunno, I think Mass Effect was at it's worse in the midgame where you had to explore all them "we couldn't be arsed" planets and stuff.

"where you had to explore all them"

You did not 'had' to do anything.

I played the Bring Down The Sky downloadable content mission yesterday. It's about 1-2 hours long and includes some new content (a new race and I think some different building model/texture stuff). There is not a whole lot of story to it, but what there is was interesting and fun to play (and fully voice-acted), quite a bit better than the usual land-drive-leave side mission. I had the impression the battles were a bit harder too, or maybe it was because I played at relatively low levels. Not bad for free content (certainly better than horse armor).
