Gears of War. The story distills enough stupid to really feel like a modern blockbuster.

Else Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Call of Duty 1 and United Offenisve Expansion Pack are pretty much interactive war movies minus popamole and health regen..

And Max Payne, of course.

Most Hollywood "blockbuster action films" wish they were half as awesome as Saint's Row 2.

FEAR isn't all that bad from this angle too.

And OP, your first choice is full of fail.
Actually that's still the best pick out of everything that was posted in this thread.

I actually wish modern Hollywood blockbusters were half as good as Mass Effect 2. From a cinematic point of view, the suicide mission is one of the most epic and climactic sequences ever. The buildup was amazing and there was a real sense of excitement and tension when Shephard and Co. finally went into the Omega 4 relay. When Shephard gave his final speech at the Collector and the badass soundtrack kicks in, it was one of the finest moments I've experienced in gaming (from a cinematic perspective).

What? You see, not everyone is a fan of Michael Bay's "if shit's blowing in between grand speeches and lulz attempts it must be kewl" mentality. But even by these criteria ME2 is largely inferior to an overwhelming visual splendor of Crysis or larger than life MW2's conspiracy spanning across the globe, fueled by truly badass soundtrack.

Bullshit. MW2 was horrid, the first one was far better.

And then you're hit with shame, guilt and loss of KKK as you realise how captivated you were by a Biowarian porn grade storyline?

Blame the OP. He asked for "good" games and proposed ME as an example. :) And don't touch MW2's soundtrack: it's awesome for what it is.

Another thing going for Crysis is its shotgun. I just played through Warhead (the expansion) for the first time, and in the midst of it I discovered that the shotgun has an alternate fire setting that makes it a proper shotgun. Most videogame shotguns have a range of about 10 feet, beyond which the weapon is completely useless. The Crysis shotgun, when firing slugs, one shot kills stuff at mid-far range, as a shotgun actually does. Ought to make KC happy at least.

It doesn't fire slugs, just reduce the spread dramatically iirc. But yeah, that was refreshing.
