You CAN hold SHIFT and click on a merchant and your pet will go and sell from their own inventory. Then you can hold SHIFT and click on items to quicksell them.

Yeah, but that's not as easy as just clicking a button. ;)

Protobob's suggestion works great, though!

And there's always the possibility of just buying a damn good nonmagical hammer at the blacksmith and then having it enchanted. You can get some great stuff via enchanting, including Greens.

You mean using the magic anvils you find in the dungeon? That's what I used to do with my hammer guy.

There's an enchanter in town too, in the graveyard. You can pay him for basically the same effect as the magic anvil, except that the potency of the enchantment is dependent on YOUR level, as opposed to the depth at which you find the magic anvil. There's also a chance that he will add sockets to your item...

Speaking of shopkeeps and stuff. The guy who sells fish only seems to sell fingerling fish no matter what level of the dungeon you find him on or what level you are in town. Is it supposed to work like this? Or are you supposed to be able to buy bigger, better fish?

The reason I ask is that I'm on level 26, and I've caught and found flawless groupers since around dungeon level 12. I haven't seen or caught any other flawless fish, so I was wondering if there was a way to buy them.

Flawless fish are rare to buy, and aren't available in the shop until several levels after they are 'fishable'. This was done primarily so that fishing didn't become totally useless.... :)

You gotta love his use for it - FISHING. You don't have to worry about getting murdered when you're fishing, typically.

That beats the artifact I found by a mile. I found a scythe named Bill's Farmhand. I didn't check out the stats because I don't use scythes. The name was great, though.

Complete Diablo clone, right down to the town portal and other "tomes" which just hold more of the one type of scroll (like that ever made sense buying a specialist tome for each scroll).
It actually reminds me of Darkstone (French Diablo 1 clone), specifically what I have seen from the dungeons.

Hooray for retards.

You DID notice that the creator of the game posts in this thread, right? I can't WAIT to see how creative he'll get on your ass.

You must be that Down guy they named a syndrome after.

seet lord, and he even insisted!

thanks for linking me to the forum, SAint

One question: how hard is the game? I "completed" the demo with no problems at all, since on the FIRST level I found 4 (!) artifacts (that's what I assume they are. blue->green->yellow is the progression, right?) one of them (something rope-a-dope. a belt that lowered my STR by 20 and sped me up. 60 dex requirement) I sold for 140K cash. there was just nothing I lacked after that. Does it go on like that?

I'm playing through the demo a second time, and I couldn't figure this out the first time through. Forgive for missing something that's likely very obvious, but how the hell do I fish? I have a pole, I found water in the dungeon, I see fish in the water, but I can't equip the pole, and running all around the edge of the water like an idiot doesn't seem to help...

You don't equip the pole. You just need it to be on your inventory.

Also, to fish you actually need to find a spot which has some fish (duh) but also with some colors orbiting above it. That's indicating it's a fishing spot. When you click on it, and you have the pole on your inventory, you will automatically start fishing.

Ah, so you can't just fish anywhere there's water with fish in it. That's a bit disappointing...

Summons are pretty powerful. Only later on do they tend to taper off in power and that's generally due to dungeon creatures who can also summon as well as cast area of effect spells.

In 1.19, monsters will have a BANISH spell that will also make summoning a little less powerful.
