Defiance Bay looks kinda like Baldur's Gate.
That is exactly what it looks like. Along with the sample location pic P:E is not only making a "spiritual successor" to BG, they're making Balder's Gate 3. I see nothing that distinguishes this game from BG.... which is just fine with me!! This will be the best BG mod I've ever played :D

... and the most expensive

Do we really want them to? Because a lot of the problems with the publishing model would remain. I guess it depends on how hands off their approach would be, but I don't think that DA2 would be a better game if its budget was just a measly $3M.

I don't think there was a different demo.

Do any of you bros want to go through the video again and take screenshots of all the new stuff we saw? Concept art, screenshots, and also those Wasteland 2 design docs.

EDIT: mrlutze Got any more? :smug:

MCA's talk was rather interesting, even if the demo showed nothing new.

It looks almost nothing like Baldur's Gate. Yeah, BG is divided by a wall, and there are a lot of walls here (very different walls). Yeah, they both have buildings. And people. Wow.

That was fun. I didn't expect a new demo, quite a few new art assets was enough.

Look at the shape of the harbor, the bay and the bridge across the river.

Yeah, seems like placeholder UI for testing various functions. There also seems to be a skill (?) called Vampiric Torture.

It seems to me those are elevated levels of the city. Not just walls.
