As soon as you do someone will start playing it for the first time and tell you about 50 different new bugs that went under the radar.

Yeah, good luck with that. They've become more clowns than ever. Their main concerns now are pornographic visual novels and infinite indie abominations.

I will make a shit ton more money if GOG accepts it finally. I got rejected twice already, but now I'm gonna submit it as "Brigand: Gold" so it's a different title. I could throw some AI-generated porn in there if it will help.

People told me that they want to buy it on GOG because it's DRM free, and they don't know they can just copy/paste the Steam install folder and play it without DRM anyway. I will gladly accept their money on GOG regardless.

Backing up an install folder that may well be missing dependencies or other files/folders that have been created elsewhere is not an acceptable alternative to proper DRM free executables imo (or at least an archived portable install which I assume your itch.io version is?).

I made those credits roll. I don't know, maybe I'm stupid, but it took me +40h to complete this game (Oaxaca campaign only). Really want to revisit it again, this time touching voodoo. I knew I was in for a treat the moment game loaded, it was only a matter of time before I sink dozens of hours into it, and it was awesome. TBH I need to think very hard to name a better recent game. It's New Vegas drenched in sweat, sleaze and hangover, and it could go either way, the line is very thin in this, but Brigand managed not to cross that line of stupidity, on the contrary - it's a pretty serious game. To me the best game since Pathologic 2.

Gonna wait another few days to apply to GOG so I can rack up some more Steam reviews during the 4/20 sale. Also, I accidently released a patch recently, and I think GOG doesn't like that as the name of the website suggests. (and the most recent guy who gave me a negative review can suck a fat one)

EDIT: It is on sale on Zoom in case anyone is interested: https://www.zoom-platform.com/product/brigand-gold-edition

Didn't even know that platform existed - do people really buy games there?
I've only made $60 so far, can't cash out yet. They should update it to v11.6 soon.

EDIT: They're gonna update the version in a couple days.

Why does no one talk about this game? I've started playing it, and it seems pretty damn good so far. I like that it doesn't pull any punches on the difficulty; it feels like you have to explore and really consider all options in order to progress.

Most of the dexers don't like to give a try to a non-mainstream game. People here pretend to have a good taste, but when it comes to action they prefer to play Dark Souls or Skyrim.

I bet not even 10% of active dexers gave a try games like Brigand, Prelude to Darkness or The Void.

Preach, Brigand deserves a lot more recognition than it gets. A frontpage review would probably help, and in true codexian fashion, I’m only gonna point out what needs to be done without even considering putting the effort myself.
