I just ran a little test and contrary to what I've told some players previously, it IS possible to target the "conventional", pre-TN ICBMs against specific targets, as in the PDC Missile Complexes. Not shipyards, though. Still, targeting PDCs instead of general population should cause less collateral damage. For some reason, even TN-missiles launched from PDCs on Earth cannot target shipyards. I guess they can only be shot at from space, which is strange but there you go. We'll LARP that the risk of debris falling into a neutral city is so large that no-on targets orbital constructions.

EAF LAUNCHES THIRD SHIP

Yesterday another EAF vessel departed their orbital shipyard, likely proceeding towards Mars. According to Orbit Spotters, here are the numbers of space ships currently operated by each Great Power:

1. European Union
   • 1x 11,950 tons
   • 3x 33,900 tons
2. East Asian Federation
   • 2x 12,000 tons
   • 1x 21,000 tons
3. Libertadores
   • 1x 950 tons
4. India
   • 1x 9,600 tons

As there has been no sighting of either the Libertadores or the Indian vessels, it is assumed they are both scientific research and survey vessels, most likely performing a geological survey of the Solar System. Similarly, the original EU ship hasn't been seen in several months at Earth orbit. The other three EU ships and all three EAF ships have instead made clockwork precise journeys between Earth and Mars. As far as GNN knows, EU is laying ground work for its future colony there while EAF somehow managed to jump start its own colony that is now most likely over a hundred thousand person strong, though this is based on approximate estimation of people moving to the Japanese space port as EAF has not released any official numbers.

SAILER FREIGHT LAUNCHES ITS SECOND CARGO SHIP

Sailer Freight today announced the successful purchase of its second cargo ship. The CEO thanked EU for the lucrative shipping contract that has allowed Sailer to increase its fleet rapidly and promised that more ships will be coming. The second vessel is expected to immediately join the Earth-Mars-Earth cargo hauling route.

SAILER FREIGHT LAUNCHES ITS FIRST COLONY SHIP

With pomp and ceremony, Sailer Freight today announced the launch of its third vessel, a Hipper class colony ship. Sailer confirmed that it will now start ferrying colonists to Mars. As this project isn't controlled by the EU Commission, colonists are responsible for the purchase of their tickets. This economic barrier is not expected to be much of an hindrance to adventurous Europeans willing to move to the Red Planet. Hipper is a 22,400 ton vessel, thought it cannot be compared to the luxury liners that sail our seas as all colonists are cryogenically frozen for the duration of the journey to save precious air, water and food supplies. Sailer has not announced the departure date or time yet.

Federal Diet unanimously reject obstructive U.N. treaties

A resounding and unanimous "nay" was the answer our Federal Diet gave today in response to the ludicrous proposals brought forward by minor powers in the United Nations assembly, effectively seeking to limit and undermine the humanitarian efforts of the East Asian Federation and its allies.

While seemingly innocent in nature, a closer inspection of these proposals makes it eminently clear that their chief purpose is to deprive both the Federation and its allies of their right to self-defence and preventive actions against both potential and existing enemies of freedom, democracy and human rights.
