Also, god damn why isn't your character highlighted properly in the char gen screen? It's a tiny thing, but it bothers me to no end.

Because it's a deep T3D rendering engine issue, which we don't have much experience with. We'll try to find a solution before the final release.

Hey, at least we fixed the issue from R3 that fucked up the dialogue screen if you had AA, and the issue with glowing objects there too.

You should disallow HDR in the meantime. All graphics whores automatically enable all that stuff before starting a game. It makes a bad first impression to say the least.

Awesome intro. Not sure if it appeals to the genpop though(the finishing moves might).

Vault Dweller What's this, then? http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index.php/topic,3515.0.html

You surrendered to the Steam whining already? It's not even really there yet. ;)
No, but the battle hardened testers say that recent weapons changes made Teron too hard. We want to look into it. If we can beat the fight with the same stats/skills/equipment in 3 attempts or less, the motion is dismissed. If not, we'll tone it down a bit.
There are some fights that seemed a lot easier with the Assassin build, as i mentioned. Those need to be made harder.
Or the assassin skills need to be balanced... or something!

I've heard that developers don't get told how many units they sell on Steam. And consequently, nobody knows how much of a cut Valve takes. They just send you some money, but don't give anyone enough information to calculate the percentage taken out.
No.

And Steam takes 30%, like most digital retailers.

Okay. That's good to hear.

Wow so many codex-fags are polluting the steam forums, and not in a good way. I've read two or three threads and they are were GD grade circlejerkings, and not even remotely funny. I'm so disappoint, son.

Anyway, i will buy the game when it comes to GOG.

- correction: Those are actually steam fags which infiltrated the codex.

So, about AoD. I know it has lots of focus on skill checks and such-
What's stopping you from just reloading and trying them again if you fail them? Player-set loadgame limitations or something?

Wanna understand the game mechanics when it comes to that.

Willpower and minor annoyance.

edit: I didn't understand your question. Yes all skill checks are deterministic, but you can still using savescumming to determine how many skill points you need to invest to pass.

The skill checks aren't probability-based, I don't think; you need to pass a threshold.

Long live the queen is cheaper and protagonist is cuter. Should I buy it instead of AoD?
