Which Paradox games should I get?

Whatever game has a stable patch.


HoI3 is a good choice, even for a complete beginner.

Once you're done pulling your hair, digging through WIKIs, browsing forums, searching for outdated manuals and compiling articles for future reference, you'll know EVERYTHING there is to learn about Paradox games, existing and to come.

Well, aside from combat, since HoI uses a different (and superior) model. A small country cannot succeed overcoming massive odds through sheer tenacity and skill in the other games (though compared to HoI2, they've still got work to do in HoI3 to get the Winter War and Continuation War right).
