I thought Roguey was bitching about the combat being too easy?
I was/am. None of that experience was difficult for me, except the part where you have to solo as green shirt girl (to borrow a phrase; I've forgotten her name). Having to solo as a character you've never played before is wrong and dumb. When it was my PC's turn to go through that area I chopped through the leftovers like they were nothing.

Goto's yacht was one of the few actually challenging parts of the game.
Not my experience. I used Kreia to do the heavy lifting.

Fair enough, IIRC you can stealth past the Ubese and Mira shares the Exile's inventory.

I didn't take any jedi the first time. I also made the mistake of taking Bao-Dur, with his crappy defense.

Now I'm pissed off (in a jokingly fashion) and I confront Kevin about what kind of garbage is this! Kevin sort of sheepishly confesses that he's some sort of ranked chess champion! I don't remember how high his ranking was or is, but clearly he is light years ahead of me and everyone else at Obsidian. Too funny, because he knew no one would play him if they knew his history nd he really, really wanted to play.

ksaun, your ELO rating is...?

It kind of spoils Anthony's anecdote, but actually I'm not a very good player at all in the world of chess. I didn't play enough official tournaments to be rated. At my best, I played maybe at the 1600 level. I was once active on fics, where I was in the 1700s, but ratings there weren't calibrated with ELO.

Before college, I had hardly played at all. I had a friend who was a candidate master and we'd play 5 minute blitz games. He beat me relentlessly -- over the years, he won perhaps 1000 games to my 5. I learned most of what I know about chess through defeat.

Unfortunately, lessons rarely emphasized in today's "Everyone gets a trophy/ Everyone's a winner" world... :(

competitive games are still learned and mastered through hard training and defeat.

I see. 1600-1700 is already pretty good for a hobby player.

Hey Guys,

Long time no chat. Things have been... interesting on the home/work front.

My baby daughter is due within the next 2 to 4 weeks which is very exciting and very scarey all at the same time.

Things in the family business, aka the Donut Kingdom, have been great on the business side, not so great on the family side. The business is doing great, up big time from where they were last year, but I continue to have conflict with my father. Now that there is plenty of help and the business is doing great, my wife and I are thinking of moving back to CA, after the baby is born of course.

Don't ask who I am going to work for in CA, you will find out soon enough with one of my stalkers. ;-)

In anticipation of that move, I have decided to drastically scale back my video game collection via ebay.

For example, this was given to me by Chris Jones (who I told to sell on his own). It is far too big and valuable to trust to a moving box. I will surprise Jones with money at a later date.

I have two questions for you guys and particularly the mods:

1) Should I post links here to games I am selling that might interest people here?

2) Should I sell my extensive Fallout Collection? I'm going to photograph to today so I will have pictures to show you. Before you all blurt out NO, let me remind you that I will not be able to hand transport my Fallout Collection this time as I will have a baby in the car this time and all the baby stuff. Movers in general are terrible and my experiences have been pretty routinely bad, even when they are super nice guys. If this collection gets stolen, lost, or destroyed I get NOTHING.

That's been on my mind a lot lately, and I imagine many collectors go through it. This stuff, any disaster can just take it all away, even something as simple as a clerical error with a moving company. Why not sell it to someone who is not moving who will appreciate it as much as I have.

What do you guys think?

Gentlemen, what are your thoughts on the above statements?

Your syntax is terrible, which obviously points to the fact that you were writing this post red-faced from excitement and/or washing your tears with whiskey

Most of my truly good stuff has yet to be photographed. That is on the plate of things to do today. Hopefully I will be able to get my Fallout stuff photographed.

This is why it's best to stick to collecting Steam trading cards and TF2 hats. :troll:

Damn, if it weren't for insanely expensive shipping to Brazil, I would grab some of those... will stalk for more, maybe something will still be worth it.
