From now on, things shall change a lot because I shamelessly created a very questionable event coupled with using heavy save game editing to prevent losing divisions due to annexation, but it was either this or just an agonizing wait for an inevitable defeat.

A New World Power Arises

lphoi2newwp001.jpg

in the 2nd of August of 1941, a historical day for man. After several long negotiations with governments in exile and extremely unstable government amidst millions of refugees, riots and chaos, which, realizing their chances and humanity chances, have slowly adhered to the idea of an unified world government, the results came, as from the negotiations, a great power would arise. The United Democratic Multinational States of south Kwanzania, central Kwanzania and north Kwanzania, and the rest of the world(Poland, for the moment, if there was yet a Poland besides brave men who departed from their home to South America), or UDMS-KKK, would become the last hope of Amerikwa, and of humanity, in this war against an enemy which emerged completely triumphant in Asia, Europe and Africa.

In this superstate, millions of able-bodied men who fled from Europe, Asia, North America and all corners of the planet were ready to fight, and many merchant fleets volunteered to transport weapons and supplies for the spread out troops of the new multinational State. An attempt to rescue German scientists in secret German bases hidden in Greenland and Iceland ended unsuccessful, and the tech teams of the former countries were still unwilling to openly support the new civilization.

lphoi2newwp002.jpg

However, there were diplomatic consequences to the formation of the unified Superstate encompassing the entire American continent, or what was left of it. Japan and Soviet Union considered such move detrimental to their interests, and promptly took the decision of leaving the Foedus of Man to attempt surviving on their own. The seeds of a potentially long rivalry between UDMS-KKK and the Empire of Japan, if somehow mankind was to survive, were planted.

lphoi2newwp003.jpg

There was no time for speeches, or for beginning proper elections right now, where, definitively, it would be complicated for Poles to win as they were a minority among many dozens of millions, unless a multikultural and multi-ethnic party of people sharing similar ideologies with Poles among them was started. But the ultimate goal was to create one people, one language and one culture. Rescue fleets were deployed to save three Canadian divisions that were retreating to the farthest northern reaches of Canada, that haven't fallen yet into enemy hands.

lphoi2newwp004.jpg

Canada%27s_New_Army.jpg

Brave soldiers, who did not give up, even under such terrible circumstances, proving once again the same courage their relatives showed in the Battle of Passchendaele. :salute:

A pity it was not possible to rescue any Greek soldiers.

lphoi2newwp005.jpg

warsaw_survivor.jpg

The crumbling Soviet Union decided to answer to the formation of the new democratic state by crushing the last territory of Poland still not under alien control. If somehow, they aren't completely defeated once, and if somehow, the UDMS-KKK manages to liberate Europe, they shall pay dearly for what they have done.

lphoi2newwp006.jpg

The Mexican soldiers are hastily evacuated, while there is still time.

lphoi2newwp007.jpg

Meanwhile, the enemy forces in Power Armor could perhaps be kept in Medellin, and if these enemies continues launching several attacks, and if they fail at them, sooner or later they will be so disorganized that there could be a chance of victory.

lphoi2newwp008.jpg

From far away, the remnants of the Kwanzanian Navy, now under control of the united Amerikwas, are planned to arrive, eventually, in Morocco, loaded with soldiers in an operation to shortly liberate Gibraltar, to evacuate the many divisions stranded in the Mediterranean. However, it was only a bet, relying on the hope the enemy was completely not expecting, and thus prepared, for such audacity.

lphoi2newwp009.jpg

Another hardy Canadian division is also to be rescued.

lphoi2newwp010.jpg

lphoi2newwp011.jpg

In Mexico, it becomes clear that it won't be possible to save all the three divisions that were to make their last stand there, but, bravely, one of the divisions bought time as a second one retreated towards one of the transports that was arriving from Cuba. Their sacrifice, having saved twice as many men as them, won't be forgotten.

:salute:

lphoi2newwp012.jpg

Meanwhile, the battle for Brazil continues. If the lone Xenu Renegades in Medellin are defeated, it will be possible to redeploy many of the divisions there to this important front, for if and once it is secured, the thinly spread alien forces in South Amerikwa will be sandwiched, and thus, there will be a chance to enact one ultimate victory for mankind.

lphoi2newwp013.jpg

The enemy navy patrols the Brazilian coast, and brings its carnage against everything but submarines, which, probably due to some fact that made submarine warfare totally impossible whenever these aliens came from, they seem totally oblivious about. However, while there seems to be renewed hope in South America, the operation to rescue the divisions in North Africa takes a turn for the worse.

lphoi2newwp014.jpg

There was little that could be done, as another military disaster could be about to begin. The battle would last long enough for the alien tanks to end so disorganized and suffering enough losses to abandon it, yet, the dread Tripods seemed restless and unstopabble.

lphoi2newwp015.jpg

In the meantime, another attempt to defend Quito begins, with heavy air support pummeling the POPAMOLE enemy forces in Power Armorz, which, due to their specialization, were quite lacking in air defenses, fortunately.

lphoi2newwp016.jpg

halo_master_chief.jpg

But even then, the enemy seems willing to continue advancing, and their powerful exoskeletons are too strong for most of the weapons the defenders had available.

lphoi2newwp017.jpg

The brave Canadian motorized forces continue their retreat, while a small fleet prepares to land in Labrador to rescue them.

lphoi2newwp018w.jpg

In the end, the defense of Quito is unsuccesful. Now, the Alliance Guard had two choices: to take a careful approach and let the enemy advance, or to risk using some of the defenders in Panama to finish the job. Even aware of what is at stake, rather than cowering and going on a fully defensive approach, like what historically Poland did in that war where they lost after one month and half, but where most of the human race wasn't wiped out from the planet too.

And thus, a risky option is chosen.

lphoi2newwp019.jpg

lphoi2newwp020l.jpg

Although brave, the defenders of Port Said, which were already weary and understrenght before the beginning of such dreaded attack, had no chance against the might of the Tripod. And thus, their future was now at stake, and considering how the front was, ITZ was almost certainly coming for them.

lphoi2newwp021.jpg

However, good news also came, as apparently, the aliens were resorting to several convoy from Eurasia, the staging point of their invasion, to other continents. If only there were enough submarines to starve the alien forces in Kwanzania...

lphoi2newwp022.jpg

However, terrible news also arrive from the sea, as the fleet designated to rescue the two Canadian divisions in the far north is completely crushed by an enemy surprise attack along its way to the Azores.

lphoi2newwp023.jpg

And thus, a new, far better protected fleet is designated with the same missions those brave patriots died trying to succeed at.

lphoi2newwp024.jpg

lphoi2newwp025.jpg

Meanwhile, the last stand of Finland is about to begin.

lphoi2newwp026.jpg

The risky operation is successful, for now, as Quito is secured, but the isolated enemy now begins to advance against Colon, something that must not be allowed to happen, at any cost. The best way to defend Colon is by using the same forces that stopped such enemy in Quito, and once they are in Colon, perhaps an opportunity to crush this division for once and all could come.

lphoi2newwp027.jpg

lphoi2newwp028.jpg

For victory is a very distant word in all other corners of the planet.

lphoi2newwp029.jpg

With the vast and spread-out industrial might of the new superstate, a very urgent project begins: the creation of a deep and vast line of defense and bunkers deeper than Cleve's bunker in Australia, in Panama, to give a chance for South Amerikwa in the long term. The Panama Line, however, would take a few years to be completed, and certainty wouldn't exist until then. The only certainty was of the need to defeat the isolated enemy forces in South America ASAP.

lphoi2newwp030.jpg

Likewise, many naval fleets that would stand no chance against such enemy are decommissioned, as are all obsolete interceptors. And as one last measure to begin the first steps to at least bring the conflict into a stalemate and liberate the entirety of South America:

lphoi2newwp031.jpg

New researches are started. Quality will be more important than quantity when facing such enemies, and thus, the new priorities nod to such important detail. However, ITZ is not a simple enemy.

lphoi2newwp032.jpg

For the fate of hundreds of thousand soldiers was, right now, hanging at balance.

First Victory

Soundtrack that sucks a lot according to Lyric Suite

lphoi2newwp033.jpg

The Finns were now driven to the far north, in the remnants of their country, Sweden and Norway, where they were, under Mannerheim's command, ready for their last stand, and among them, a lone man, with the greatest count of killed aliens, have managed to survive: the legendary White Death.

simo-hayha.jpg

lphoi2newwp034.jpg

When it became clear there was no more hope for the many soldiers stranded in North Africa, chased by a legion of tripods, the transports began to return to South America, where the POPAMOLES now were trying to take Colon.

lphoi2newwp035.jpg

embarking1.jpg

Whiskeywolf knew that the key to having a chance of victory in South America is precisely to avoid as much as possible relying on transportation on foot through the precarious road infrastructure of Thirdworldia, and thus, as long as the enemy is away hunting submarines blocking their way to Palermo with unescorted aircraft carriers, resort to naval transportation of forces. For that, not losing Colon at any costs would be of crucial importance.

lphoi2newwp036.jpg

In 10th of August, the first Canadian division is rescued and shipped to defend Panama from the growing threat of an amassing enemy force to the north.

lphoi2newwp037.jpg

While, considering the newfound industrial capabilities of the UDMS-KKK, and the features of the landscape where the conflict was being fought, the construction of a highly specialized army to liberate South America begins. Anti-tank brigades, which would be worthless to be deployed en masse under most circumstances of a conventional war when compared to plain artillery, may have to be researched and built as well to give an edge against the hardened power armor aliens and tripods.

lphoi2newwp038.jpg

Norwegian_Winter_War_Volunteers.jpg

Mannerheim himself led the hopeless defense of the last Finnish territory still not overran by the aliens. He bought as much time as possible for civilians to flee for the currently undefended Kiruna, but in the end, all they could do was to delay the inevitable defeat, as they also would fall back to Kiruna, where Finland, Sweden and Norway would make their last stand. Meanwhile, the men were arriving to defend Colon.

dday_nnsh.jpg

EnclaveMKII.jpg

Against enemies attacking the strategic Panama Channel, which although outnumbered at 10:1, were technologically superior and wore the infamous power armors of POPAMOLE.

stalingrad-antitank-gun.jpg

lphoi2newwp039.jpg

And perhaps now, an opportunity to defeat for once and all such enemies could arise, for they were becoming slowly, but noticeably, disorganized from their multiple and failed attempts to further advance.

lphoi2newwp040.jpg

Amphibious operations were being conducted on both west and east coasts of South Kwanzania. For it was the only way to give to the Alliance Guard an edge against such enemy.

lphoi2newwp041.jpg

malvinas1.jpg

With the impending death of the British Empire, Argentina, and by extension, the United Democratic Multinational States, inherit the Falk... Malvinas, they are called Malvinas according to 1eyedking, another true patriot who like skyway, made a difference, but unlike skyway, who did not succeed at stopping the invasion at least in one part of Ukrainistan, 1eyedking's actions ensured San Miguel de Tucuman would never fall into alien hands.

Because of this, a very stupid and pointless war will never be fought in the 1980s, and democracy will reign in South America for all time, if it somehow survives.

Let us honor such a moment, as the glorious and extremely important Fal... Malvinas are returned to their rightful owners, with a very fitting image to convey the glory of such event.

The second rescue fleet, that hopefully won't share the same fate of the previous one and end at the bottom of the ocean, ends in a risky situation because not all ships in it had a maximum operational range and endurance sufficiently high to allow them to reach far enough to allow the two divisions in the far north of Canada to embark. It is a risk that must be taken, for no men must be left behind whenever possible, because every capable soldier must be brought into the defense of Panama and South America, to even the odds a little.

lphoi2newwp043.jpg

Because the odds of the two hundred thousand men in Egypt surviving were like the odds of kingcomrade making a constructive and intelligent thread.

lphoi2newwp044.jpg

passchendaelestill.jpg

The Canadians, despite not knowing whether a rescue fleet would come or not, continue to delay the enemy and bravely fight to avoid being surrounded before they could retreat to the last ground they could march through, in a long advance where their motorized forces were hurt by precarious infrastructure. They prepared to make their last stand in Baffin Island.

lphoi2newwp045.jpg

And hoped rescue would arrive in time to bring them somewhere they wouldn't be surrounded by enemies. Although the fact supplies were being shipped to Baffin Island, and that they thus noticed it, gave to them hopes. No man shall be left behind in these dark times, let alone entire divisions, whenever it is possible to save them.

lphoi2newwp046.jpg

The same divisions that retreated, after not succeeding at the defense of Quito, were once again deployed to defend a second advance against the capital of Ecuador, and this time, they were successful, as the enemy forces were clearly far more disorganized than they were when they launched their first attack. Maybe now it is the time for the first victory in offensive battle against enemies in power armor since the beginning of the war. And thus, the largest offensive operation in South America since the failed attempt to break the defense of Xenu Popamobiles has begun.

lphoi2newwp047.jpg

To leave no man behind, a fleet prepared for a daring operation: the temporary liberation of Gibraltar, to bring the stranded divisions in the Mediterranean to Amerikwa. In the meantime, the brutal battle in the jungles of Medellin has begun.

bloody-ridge1.gif

lphoi2newwp048.jpg

Through use of sheer force and considerable air support, despite constant rainfall, it was hoped that the cornered, even if technologically advanced enemy, could be ultimately crushed, as the first complete and successful encirclement of an enemy division after more than one year of war could perhaps happen.

lphoi2newwp049.jpg

guadalcanal.jpg

With courage and determination, and heavy air support, the attackers managed to pin down the enemy soldiers in power armor in a thinner and thinner front. However, a counter-attack could yet happen, and great sacrifices have been made for this advance to work, for the enemy was very difficult to take down, their infantry being as well armored as a light tank of the time.

206475-enclave_super.jpg

lphoi2newwp050.jpg

While the battle for Medellin raged on, disaster struck in Brazil as four divisions suffered the risk of ending retreating to a region occupied by the enemy. This would be a loss that couldn't be afforded.

lphoi2newwp051.jpg

Wisely, they instead of continuing such foolish retreat, attempted to defend Goias, and were successful this time. A feeling that now was the time to turn the tide of the conflict in South America was strong.

enclavecommander3.jpg

For, against all odds, the POPAMOLES were retreating rather than advancing, being cornered by real men rather than consoletards, men armed with crude but effective weapons, who were ready for such a terrible battle. And thus, for the time,

lphoi2newwp052.jpg

An entire enemy division has been completely crushed! Now, it was clear that, besides their tripods, their army was definitively not undefeatable. This, the battle of Medellin, was the first major victory of mankind since the beginning of the war. And with Medellin secured, it would be possible to send more reinforcements to Brazil, to crush perhaps even more isolated enemy divisions.

lphoi2newwp053.jpg

The rescue fleet managed to arrive first than the two retreating Canadian divisions, and now awaited for them to reach the Baffin Islands, so that they could finally, for a change, find a little relief after a long, hopeless retreat where they saw their entire nation fall apart with Kwanzania.

lphoi2newwp054.jpg

And perhaps, a chance to crush yet another entire enemy division of power armor aliens could arrive, and thus, the three bomber divisions, including two that were "borrowed" from the hopeless Italians, took flight to rebase at the gradually reconstructed air bases in Sao Paulo.

lphoi2newwp055.jpg

In Egypt, the situation worsened. Now, the divisions, barely managing to retreat from the rampage of the tripods, suffered the risk of being completely encircled as alien forces to the west advanced northwards.

lphoi2newwp056.jpg

The defenders of Alexandria did not even manage to retreat when El Alamein began to be attacked. Those eight divisions suffered a great risk of being encircled right now.

lphoi2newwp057.jpg

While convoy raiding continued to have limited success, suggesting that perhaps, the key to have a chance, in the near future, to liberate the entire Amerikwan continent, was to engage on heavy submarine warfare, to which the enemy remained oblivious and unprepared.

lphoi2newwp058.jpg

Another lasting victory is ensued thanks to seaborne reinforcements, but the enemy would attempt yet another attack against Vitoria, a city which name, perhaps a little obviously, translates as Victory.

lphoi2newwp059.jpg

And thus, the power armors showed why they should never be underestimated, managing to break through the defenders lines.

lphoi2newwp060.jpg

When it became clear they would not manage to hold their ground, rather than retreating slowly through the land.

lphoi2newwp061.jpg

They retreated through the sea, to be immediately redeployed to Rio de Janeiro, while more reinforcements among the victorious in the battle of Medellin were soon arrive after a long trip, that already happened, from Venezuela and Colombia.

lphoi2newwp062.jpg

It was however, a consolidated fact, by now, that the only source of good news for this conflict would be South America, because elsewhere, the announciation of another great military disaster was impending.

lphoi2newwp063.jpg

Only a single division have managed to outrun the advance of the dreaded tripods, and three divisions were already doomed. There was no more hope for them, and while their desperate attempt to retreat to West Africa in time occurred,

lphoi2newwp064.jpg

Winter_War_by_NovaNimloth.jpg

A new, greater legend than any legend ever born in this conflict would arise. Simo Hayha, through cautious observation, have discovered a weak point in the thick plating of the tripods, and, alone, on his own, would, among the brutal battle, the Last Stand of Finland, succeed at shooting down one of them, consolidating his name to be forever remembered in History. However, it was not only him that would become a legend, but all of the men among the nine divisions who fought against an enemy that fifteen divisions failed to stop in Bulgaria.

lphoi2newwp065.jpg

finnish_soldiers_during_the_winter_war.jpg

The battle of Kiruna was a legendary victory, where Mannerheim achieved what was deemed impossible. Reports of their heroic stand spreaded to the last corners of Earth still controlled by humanity, and even if in the end, as expected, they are completely crushed, they shall never be forgotten.

:salute:

Perhaps, there was still hope.

On an only slightly related matter, after trying several mods, so far the only ones I enjoyed, despite their shortcomings, were mod33, mod34 and SMEP+DAIM combo with vanilla, although I raged when I discovered that there is an event when playing with NatChi that fires an early Japanesse declaration of war if you send extra divisions to Shangai so I'd not have to bother doing so once Japan began the invasion to secure all the provinces with coastal areas.

Now, regardless of whether it's too event-driven and railroaded and not working as a game and whatever, I think I'll give a try at Kaiserreich anyway.

I don't know yet. This LP is driven mostly by gameplay rather than by events so anything could happen. And considering that the alien invaders AI doesn't really have a good taskforce to deal with convoy raiding

The Battle of the Atlantic is coming, eventually.

=============

A turning point in the war?

lphoi2newwp066.jpg

obraz004copy5.jpg

While a new group of defenders is soon to arrive at Vitoria, constant aerial interdiction campaigns are launched, seeking to not target the mighty power armor aliens themselves, but instead, the logistics they still needed no matter how advanced their technology was. For ammunitions, and whatever those beings needed as food flowed through the fallen state of Rio de Janeiro, while the aliens launched an attack on Sao Paulo.

lphoi2newwp067.jpg

402px-Never_was_so_much_owed_by_so_many_to_so_few.jpg

And once again, thanks to the flyboys, victory is achieved, and perhaps, the aliens in Rio de Janeiro may yet be completely exterminated. For such must be the fate of all aliens. Because as likely as every nigger is a robber because 9 out of every 10 robbers is a nigger, every alien is scum because the first contact ended like this and thus every alien intelligence met from now on should be exterminated lest it threatens humanity. Oh, wait, that if mankind survives through this.

lphoi2newwp068.jpg

After the battle, the enemy forces ended in disarray due to constant bombing runs against their logistics. An opportunity to annihilate them has arisen. The men in South America would have to suffice, because elsewhere, things were falling apart.

lphoi2newwp069.jpg

oh-my-word.jpg

Only ten thousand men out of hundreds of thousands now have any chance of surviving through the ordeal in North Africa, for the others, only horrors beyond description await.

lphoi2newwp070.jpg

Meanwhile, the liberation of Brazil advances further on, increasing the size of the sandwich that must be used to split the enemy forces in two, leaving a large part of them without access to the sea, and thus, starving.

lphoi2newwp071t.jpg

However, it is not the last advance. Securing all areas with harbors in South America will severely hamper the enemy naval capabilities. And it better work, because ITZ is strong in North Africa.

lphoi2newwp072.jpg

Now there is nothing that could be done. Hundreds of thousands stranded, displaying the threat posed by such enemy.

lphoi2newwp073.jpg

lphoi2newwp074.jpg

Lost and damned they were, to make a last stand in El Alamein. Likewise, a practical demonstration of why focusing in mountain divisions wouldn't be a bad idea.

lphoi2newwp075.jpg

26ah2.jpg

lphoi2newwp076.jpg

While the Last Stand of El Alamein continued, recoinassance indicated that there was only a lone militia division guarding Huelva in Spain. It was the only bet, a risky bet for Gibraltar, but it was the only one. The only chance of sending fifteen divisions at Palermo to a front where they could make a difference. However, another victory might happen, as, due to the risk of losing Vitoria before the arrival of more troops to the South American east coast, an attack is immediately ordered against Rio de Janeiro, with heavy air support, like the attack of Medellin.

lphoi2newwp077.jpg

_segunda_guerra_mundial_14.jpg

Despite suffering from organization issues, they were confident that victory would come.

lphoi2newwp078.jpg

private-ryan-beach.jpg

The first attempt to break through "Fortress Europe" has begun, when it became clear that, even though they faced nothing besides a motley collection of rotting corpses, most without firearms, liberating Europe would be a dream long, long away.

lphoi2newwp079.jpg

They fought bravely, but in the end, they have perished in the greatest military disaster since the massive encirclements in the Balkans. However, their names will never perish, and they shall never be forgotten.

lphoi2newwp080.jpg

exbrz261.jpg

In 29th of August of 1941, for the second time, the forces of mankind successfully annihilated yet another enemy division, paving the way for the liberation of one of the most important industrial centers in South America. Perhaps, the month of September would become the crucial turning point in the conflict, after all.

lphoi2newwp081.jpg

Instead of making them march on foot to Rio de Janeiro, all the soldiers are shipped to the city, lauded by the survivors as soon as they saw the ships on the distant horizon.

lphoi2newwp082.jpg

However, Fortress Europe was indeed, for now, impenetrable, and thus, besides the lone mountaineer division that somehow have escaped from the tripods that doomed most of their comrades, nobody else would be rescued from the Mediterranean. And that, if they manage to make a long journey through all North Africa to Morocco.

lphoi2newwp083.jpg

And, after the failed amphibious assault, the enemy immediately reacted, but severely underestimated the number of vessels escorting the transports. And also, they underestimated the fact that such fleet was guarded by the USS Cleveland, which had its hull reinforced with titanium and a real Artificial Intelligence instead of just another crude Fire Control System.

lphoi2newwp084.jpg

Thus, even more losses after the disaster in North Africa have been successfully prevented.

lphoi2newwp085.jpg

Meanwhile, isolated enemy forces continued to advance through regions with poor infrastructure and little to no strategic importance. The plan was to allow them to do so, for eventually they would be completely cut off of supplies, and coupled with the poor infrastructure, they would be thus soundly defeated.

lphoi2newwp086.jpg

The destruction of the enemy forces on Rio de Janeiro happened just in time to prevent their encirclement from being broken. Immediately, an attempt to liberate Vitoria happens, which was also done to avoid the defenders of Campinas from losing the battle, but it doesn't seem likely to work as intended. Nevertheless, such is a new opportunity to crush an entire enemy division of advanced soldiers in power armors as well. And thus, the flags of the autonomous State of Brazil, of the sub-state of Rio de Janeiro and of The UDMS-KKK were once again raised in the city, for the federal governments of the nations that joined the KKK still had considerable autonomy in all affairs that were unrelated to military concerns.

lphoi2newwp087.jpg

3879367800_0d10e0498c_o.jpg

And for the second time, against all odds, Mannerheim and his soldiers succeed in a heroic and legendary battle, and the White Death still lived, his tale becoming far more widely known, his name, Simo Häyhä, to be forever engraved in History together with Mannerheim's and with the names of all the courageous Finns who managed to stop the enemy forces after what seemed to be an inevitable and immediate defeat, if man survives.

lphoi2newwp088.jpg

A lone militia division versus aliens in power armors. Such are really favourable odds for the UDMS-KKK and Alliance Guard forces.

lphoi2newwp089.jpg

lphoi2newwp090.jpg

However, the heavy interdiction operations and the flanking counter-attacks have severely reduced the organization of the enemy, and thus, they were now ripe for ending like two alien divisions of power armor Xenos. They'd understand soon enough that their arrogance of thinking they could run through without worrying about ever being attack would have a steep price. Unfortunately, the liberation of a region that wouldn't immediately pocket these aliens into a single region already begun, but there still could be time to give them what they deserve.

xenu-pam.jpg

lphoi2newwp091.jpg

And thus, the situation of the South American front in 4th of September of 1941, signaled a potential turning point, for now, the Alliance Guard was starting to go on the offensive rather than on the defensive campaign they've been through at the first stages of the conflict. A new attack against the Popamobiles is to be launched soon, although perhaps it would be more productive to encircle them, but the several divisions in Bolivia, Argentina and Chile are essential to hold the west coast of South America. Several enemy divisions remain advancing sluggishly in regions with poor road infrastructure and inhospitable jungles.

lphoi2newwp092.jpg

The retreat of the two Canadian divisions to Baffin Island in the doomed North Kwanzania still wasn't finished, forcing the rescue fleet to remain there as sitting ducks to wait for them. Hopefully, no nasty surprises would happen to the rescue fleet like those that happened to the first one.

lphoi2newwp093.jpg

The last stand made mostly by Finnish soldiers, but also with participation of remnants of the Sweden and Norwegian armies, still hasn't been broken. Unfortunately, with none of the countries having industries in the regions they still haven't lost, their armies are doomed to eventually run out of supplies, unless something is done to save them, but considering the enemies that would have to be faced, it is not a very likely action.

lphoi2newwp094.jpg

Two of the greatest powers of the world are now reduced to fading shadows of their former selves and on the verge of an ultimate defeat, having absolutely no chance of driving back the enemy advance. Soon, the entirety of continental Asia will fall. However, it was not time to despair, but time to seek revenge, to destroy the enemy, to exterminate them, because it was a time to make reservations in a certain restaurant and give an invitation:

Why won't you evacuate those brave Finns and Scandinavians from their mountain strongholds and let them fight less hopeless, yet epic battles against filthy aliens in the jungles and the mountains of Central America?

Fixed. Sooner or later more and more divisions will be needed to defend Panama. It'll be very

important to finish off the aliens in South America ASAP and bring every available division to hold Panama.

Travolta, one of the leaders of the alien invaders.

September 1941: Turning Point

lphoi2sep1941i001.jpg

Talvisota_Summa.PNG

Hundreds of thousands were making their last stand in Finland, and after Mannerheim won two seemingly hopeless battles, it was decided, at last, by the UDMS-KKK, to send the Kwanzanian Evacuation fleet, after its failed attempt in an amphibious operation, to rebase at North Ireland, and then, move to Hammerfest, rescuing the surviving and brave Finnish, Swede and Norwegian soldiers, so that they could be fighting in a front where they'd actually make a difference. Likewise, starving Portuguese soldiers in Azores would be sent to somewhere where they could be properly supplied.

lphoi2sep1941i002.jpg

lphoi2sep1941i003.jpg

After the attack on Campinas, the enemy power armors launch a new attack on Goias, and this time, the chances of stopping them are small. On the same time, there was a large chance of surrounding the enemies in Vitoria. A choice is made to retreat, and use the faster retreating forces from Goias to support another major offensive to destroy another of the enemy most powerful divisions.

lphoi2sep1941i004.jpg

Even though doing so could endanger the offensives in Brazil, the risk of losing a battle there was more acceptable than the risk of losing Panama to an unleashed rampage of tripods.

lphoi2sep1941i005.jpg

Air support has been essential in the two previous offensives, and thus, again it shall make a difference, as despite suffering significant losses, the tactical bombers of the UDMS-KKK continue to launch continued aerial interdiction sorties against the aliens in Vitoria.

lphoi2sep1941i006.jpg

Concentrating forces on the regions that allow the easiest access to Vitoria, without the need of crossing through rivers, is of course, necessary to increase the chances of victory, even if it may put a little risk here and there. Crushing such alien division was only a part of a colossal effort, one that unfortunately didn't happen in another of many independence days, 7th of September. An effort that also involved the fate of thousands of men stranded in North Africa, who somehow, still managed to escape from the tripods.

lphoi2sep1941i007.jpg

King%20Leonidas%20300.JPG

The Greeks still had transport ships in the Mediterranean after all this time. Meaning that, as long as most of Morocco didn't fall on alien hands, it would be possible to rescue up to sixteen divisions from North Africa and Palermo. And while a, somewhat too late rescue operation was being prepared, another decisive battle was about to begin in South America.

lphoi2sep1941i008.jpg

Heavy_artillery_203mm_m1931_b-4_3rd_belorussian_front_1944.jpg

Once again, a massive offensive is launched to crush the Xenu Popamobiles and use sheer firepower of masses of anti-tank guns and artillery to compensate for their technological inferiority against the vehicles charging their lazorz.

lphoi2sep1941i009.jpg

The survivors of the Canadian army were successfully rescued now. Hopefully their long trip to Panama would have no incidents involving immense fleets composed purely by futuristic carriers.

lphoi2sep1941i010.jpg

The use of sheer firepower to compensate the lack of laser beams works as intended, causing immense losses against the Popamobiles, now reduced to less than fifty percent strength.

lphoi2sep1941i011.jpg

And thus, the enemy forces in Santa Cruz are forced to retreat, paving the way for the opportunity to completely cut off the invaders in the Amazon Rainforest from supplies.

lphoi2sep1941i013.jpg

The two Canadian motorized divisions are inbound to reinforce Panama.

lphoi2sep1941i014.jpg

While a lone division out of dozens escapes from ITZ, for now.

lphoi2sep1941i015.jpg

To allow the better exploitation of the gap the victory at Santa Cruz will ensue, more eleven divisions begin to head for it. The time for static defense and for being on the defensive only is definitively over. It is now the time, to liberate South America from the alien threat. For the clock is ticking as certainly as tripods in Canada are heading southwards.

lphoi2sep1941i016.jpg

Now, the majority of the Brazil's coast has been cleared. Soon the time to begin the liberation of 1eyedking's nation shall come.

lphoi2sep1941i017.jpg

Maybe a bit too ahead of time, but if necessary, there shall be a change of plans. To increase the amount of sides from where the offensive will happen, making things more difficult for the enemy, even an amphibious operation is scheduled against the now surrounded aliens.

lphoi2sep1941i018.jpg

Attaining air superiority in the Ligurian Islands is becoming as difficult as it is pointless for the great picture. And while there were sound plans with high chances of success to crush the aliens in Vict, Vitoria,

lphoi2sep1941i019.jpg

fallout-3.png

Sometimes things don't happen as planned. And thus, while the brave men defended Campinas, immediately flanking counter-attacks are launched from Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, despite the fact the forces were not fully organized for an offensive of such scale by then.

lphoi2sep1941i020.jpg

The battle could turn towards any direction... it would either be a defeat for humanity, or a crippling defeat for the aliens. However, air support would once again prove decisive, for, after weeks of continual aerial interdiction to soften such a powerful threat, the enemy was already mostly disorganized and thus ripe for the taking.

lphoi2sep1941i022.jpg

And thus, another entire division of aliens meets the fate of all xenos.

lphoi2sep1941i023.jpg

Right after the successful offensive in Vitoria, a division of cavalry begins to march to cut off the enemy front lines in half. Hopefully the xenu popamobiles aren't retreating to that direction.

lphoi2sep1941i024.jpg

Finally possible, the evacuation of the Mediterranean, due to lack of enough transports inside, will progress, however, at snails pace, and may not be entirely successful.

lphoi2sep1941i025.jpg

The popamobiles attempt to hold Santa Cruz one last time, and this time, as they are heavily disorganized, their defeat comes very quickly. However, that is not everything to be done, and there are more lone divisions to lure and crush.

lphoi2sep1941i026.jpg

But Fortaleza isn't really an optimal region to lure enemies into, due to the fact most of the fronts to reach it have river crossings. Thus, eight divisions in Salvador are prepared to hold it while the lone mountain division buys times for them to arrive.

lphoi2sep1941i027.jpg

The Scandinavian patriots are saved, and with Cleveland escorting them, there is absolutely nothing to worry about while they head for Panama, as a precaution.

lphoi2sep1941i028.jpg

Disorganized, and with half of them being crappy Militias, the reinforcements, that arrived too late to prevent the retreat of the mountaineers, are in a delicate situation. However, to tip the scale, diversionary counter-attacks from Salvador, Vitoria and Campinas are ordered. To make things more complicated, logistical problems ground the bombers due to lack of oil.

lphoi2sep1941i029.jpg

Thanks to them, the enemy attack fails. However, the enemy simply stopped, and thus, nothing could be done, and fighting them such way would be less efficient. Thus, a very daring action is made, while the few civilians in Vitoria, still sealed off from the inhabitants until the front is secured, are evacuated.

lphoi2sep1941i030.jpg

Meanwhile, the evacuation of the Mediterranean, with the support of the brave Minoan sailors, continue.

lphoi2sep1941i031.jpg

Rather than waiting to fully reorganize, letting the enemy also do so, which would be far more benefitting to the enemy than to the allied forces, despite lacking armor, they continue the offensive uninterrupted, in true Blitzkrieg fashion.

lphoi2sep1941i032.jpg

Alien transport ships, fortunately unescorted, have been driven back from the coast of Brazil, but in wake of such discovery, and specially of what could be inside those ships, measures are taken, for if a tripod could be sunk while it is inactive inside a massive cargo ship, it would be a much more optimal approach than having to fight against it on land.

lphoi2sep1941i033.jpg

Hook. Line. Sinker. And as predicted, the aliens, apparently so convinced of their victory that they stopped using their brains because of relying too much on technology, once again show up their brilliance. This makes many wonder how could they be so advanced yet demonstrate such gigantic stupidity. Then someone mentioned Fable 3 and nobody dared arguing further.

lphoi2sep1941i034.jpg

Sustained by measly industries, several pockets, surrounded by enemies and strangely not crushed by them, stand on the Balkans, while the evacuation of the Mediterranean proceeds.

lphoi2sep1941i035.jpg

The end of the Soviet Union is even closer, while in India, the aliens have been slowed down due to poor terrain and infrastructure. But as soon as the Soviet Union is destroyed, the remnants of what was once the most powerful nation of the world shall crumble. Perhaps, perhaps, their armies could be evacuated to fight in South America, although the British would be less willing to accept such a thing, and definitively not be so open-minded about it as Afghanistan.

lphoi2sep1941i036.jpg

More and more enemies are heading south. No matter what, South America must be liberated as soon as possible, for sooner or later, another decisive battle could happen in Panama.

lphoi2sep1941i037.jpg

And thus, what was once a defensive stand in South America has become a fully offensive operation, intending to sweep through the most industrialized regions and isolate enemy forces to crush them with heavy air support while they starve. Thus began the turning point, in yet another September, perhaps as memorable as the 1st of September of 1939, when everything began.

Great! The brave Finns are yet to put up a fight for humanity!

I see ITZ coming to Morocco really fast, so Leonidas and his ancient fleet really has to hurry up.

You'll have to build a lot of HQs, if you are going to fight using hundreds of divisions in a single province, which will undoubtedly happen. It might be incredibly difficult to break through Central America.

I don't intend to fight using hundreds of divisions in a single province. It wouldn't work anyway. There is another approach.

And it's fluff, but let's say rather than deciding to defend his country to death and snipe as many aliens as possible before dying, a certain hero has chosen to also depart for a far away land.

=====================================

1477181statueoftheliber.jpg

Simon Bolivar was a man who dreamed to create an united South America(something like "The Libertadores" in the Armaggedon scenario), that could thus have the potential to become a great power, and exert their independence and sovereignty without interference of the great powers of the Old World. The goal here is to achieve what he couldn't, except that instead of Great Powers, it'll be a fight against an Interstellar Power.

More and more tripods move southwards, through the ruins of Kwanzania, to reach Costa Rica.

October 1941: A narrow window of opportunity

lphoi2saliberation001.jpg

128675986809997087.jpg

Completely undefended, the Argentinian capital, Buenos Aires, is soon to be liberated, for Victory in South America presents a narrow window of opportunity, for more and more tripods encroach to the borders of Panama, as more and more divisions arrive to dissuade them from launching an attack. Any mistake could ruin everything now, for if the force building up north of Panama ever manage to break through, there would be absolutely no more hope.

lphoi2saliberation002.jpg

The Xenu Popamobiles, severely undestrength, launch a failed attack against Curitiba, and are successfully repelled.

lphoi2saliberation003.jpg

sm12.jpg

And then, a figure emerges from a formerly secret bunker deep beneath Buenos Aires. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

y21.png
: At last, I was almost running out of supplies there and I don't have Vault-Co to recycle everything. Now, wait a minute? FUCKING IMPERIALISTIC POLES! YOU TOOK OVER MY COUNTRY! THAT IS IT! I'M LEAVING AMERIKWA AND NOT COMING BACK!

And after taking a wooden raft through the Atlantic, 1eyedking was never heard of again. However, one way or another, Simon Bolivar and his friend, Jose de San Martin, who fought for the independence of Argentina, would be proud with the formation of the UDMS-KKK, for that was something they dreamed of in the past century. Even if the former president of Poland has actually taken control of the situation amidst the chaos, it was only temporary, and as soon as elections came, the winner most likely would not be Pole, because Polish refugees were a minority in South Kwanzania.

lphoi2saliberation004.jpg

And thus, steps were being taking to initiate the liberation of Argentine, regardless of 1eyedking's thoughts, while another desperate enemy attack against San Miguel de Tucuman happened. For the first time since the beginning of the conflict, it was the enemy that was showing desperation rather than the opposite.

lphoi2saliberation005.jpg

lphoi2saliberation006.jpg

The liberation of Paraguay also did not take much longer to happen. Starved of supplies, the enemy forces began to slowly collapse, despite their technological superiority, both in large and extreme gaps. Losing severe amounts of organization in their attack, the enemies were severely vulnerable at Corrientes, and such was another opportunity that couldn't be missed.

lphoi2saliberation007.jpg

lphoi2saliberation008.jpg

The British still refused to allow the UDMS-KKK to assume control of their forces and evacuate them, but nevertheless, in the hopes they would change of opinion once the evacuation fleet, guarded by USS Cleveland, arrives, they decided to send it there.

lphoi2saliberation009.jpg

Once Concordia and Corrientes are secured, the enemy front will be split int two. A potential for a massive encirclement is seen in the industrial heart of Argentina.

lphoi2saliberation010.jpg

USS_Simon_Bolivar%3B0864102.jpg

lphoi2saliberation011.jpg

Although slow, convoy raiding is bringing results, and thus the Battle for Amerikwa begins, for the enemy is sending countless convoys to supply their forces in the last continent where mankind still stands. Submarine operations will be itensified and also used against key locations.

lphoi2saliberation012.jpg

In preparation to liberate Cordoba, most of the defenders of Santiago head for Neuquen, even though leaving only a division defending the capital of Chile could be a liability.

lphoi2saliberation013.jpg

A plan to ultimately crush the Popamobiles is made. By forcing them out of their cover, they'd end exposed to ground attacks by the tactical bombers, that could them, not simply defeat them, but completely obliterate them, for their ray guns lacked enough range to have use as AA. What was expected as a simple operation would become one of the greatest battles fought in South America since the Battle of Santa Cruz.

lphoi2saliberation014.jpg

Supermutant_Overlord.jpg

Even though wounded, the battle against the Popamobiles and their support infantry forces is harsh.

lphoi2saliberation015.jpg

News of a terrible tragedy arrive, as hundreds of thousands died of starvation in one of the pockets in the Balkans. The battle for Mato Grosso still was going on, with heavy air support, when in this day, for the first time.

lphoi2saliberation016.jpg

It would be the aliens that ended tactically encircled rather than the opposite.

lphoi2saliberation017.jpg

das-boot-21.jpg

Many German U-boot captains were now in service of humanity, together with UDMS-KKK.

lphoi2saliberation018.jpg

3286dayunderfire1047003.jpg

After five days of continuous combat, the battle of Mato Grosso was not over yet. Meanwhile, an enemy fleet of unescorted transports have been cornered by the largest fleet of the United Multinational States. For whether these enemies knew how to do amphibious operations or not was something better to not take risks about.

lphoi2saliberation019.jpg

At dawn, the enemies finally retreat after a long and bloody battle. Immediately, The bombers that were before conducting interdiction strikes now have their mission changed to destroy all enemy forces without mercy.

lphoi2saliberation020.jpg

Thanks to some dumbfuckery, naval divisions won't stand in the same area all the time unless they lose some ORG, so I almost lost Palermo because of that. Also, more than half of the soldiers stranded at Palermo have been successfully evacuated from the Mediterranean. However, time was running out.

lphoi2saliberation021.jpg

In the hopes of achieving a massive encirclement, another step is taking. Unfortunately, a lone Militia is unlikely to hold Bahia Blanca successfully.

lphoi2saliberation022.jpg

Even with counter-attacks, they couldn't do it, however, reinforcements were due to arrive by sea to Bahia Blanca.

lphoi2saliberation023.jpg

freeman-pwn-master-chief.jpg

By October 19th, the Xenu Popamobiles have been completely annihilated by continual bombings.

:incline:

lphoi2saliberation024.jpg

Submarine Zerg Rush KEKEKE.

Or more exactly, Time is of essence and it's pointless to wait for the research into medium range submarines to be completed. Piloted by true patriots, tasked to sink technologically superior convoys and to evade possible destroyers equipped with 1953 standards ASW equipment.

Easier to hit a lifeboat with a torpedo, but they will do their best for humanity.

lphoi2saliberation025.jpg

das-boot.jpg

This is what was meant with the comment about technologically advanced ASW equipment. More patriots die. Once South Amerikwa is secure, the many isolated enemy destroyers in the Atlantic will know no peace, as existing carrier fleets will begin their hunt to allow for the submarines to do their part undisturbed.

:salute:

lphoi2saliberation026.jpg

lphoi2saliberation027.jpg

In October 21st, the enemy has finally bitten the bait. Now all that was left to do was to send the fastest unit to secure Goias, and once they arrive, launch an offensive to add a fourth power armor infantry division to the list of casualties of the enemy.

lphoi2saliberation028.jpg

An enemy transport fleet is continually hunted while reinforcements are soon to arrive at Bahia Blanca.

lphoi2saliberation029.jpg

lphoi2saliberation030.jpg

And this time, after a very arduous battle, not only Bahia Blanca is secured, but the enemy forces end severely disorganized, and thus, immediately:

lphoi2saliberation031.jpg

lphoi2saliberation032.jpg

The final step taken to encircle almost half-dozen of enemy divisions happen. With this, the enemy forces in South America are utterly devastated, and the most industrially developed regions of it are soon to be liberated. Then, all that shall remain will be to mop up the rest of the enemy forces while sending more and more divisions to Panama.

lphoi2saliberation033.jpg

And to make things better, none of the enemies did retreat to somewhere where they wouldn't end encircled.

lphoi2saliberation034.jpg

3 days left for the liberation of Vitoria and destruction of another enemy division. A new advance happens, and a very important one, for air power will make a huge difference in this conflict.

lphoi2saliberation035.jpg

And thus, it is time to get up to date in submarine research, and once South America is completely secure, in naval doctrine as well. Perhaps, if the entirety of Kwanzania could be liberated, somehow, the construction of a massive surface force after the submarine force is considered, coupled with researches in carriers. A doubt remains: whether to take the submarine-centric German doctrines or the Carrier-centric Kwanzanian doctrines. Many support the latter, due to their hope there'll be a chance yet to at least liberate England. Others would rather focus entirely on submarines.

Of course, they were oblivious to the fact the aliens started the conflict with over 9000 transports. However, if isolated provinces could be completely blockaded from supplies through submarines, their utility would become evident, with or without over 9000 transports at the enemy hands.

lphoi2saliberation036.jpg

Now, more tripods are soon going to reach Costa Rica. Better for more and more reinforcements to come.

lphoi2saliberation037.jpg

November 3rd, 1 day before commencing the liberation of Vitoria. The enemy front is successfully splitted in two, cutting off half of the entire enemy force from supplies, however, the long awaited event as October was over and a new month began, was still going to happen.

lphoi2saliberation038.jpg

However, not everything went as planned, as the enemy, perhaps realizing the intentions of the Alliance Guard, launched an immediate attack on Sao Paulo.

lphoi2saliberation039.jpg

fallout-3-classic-advanced-power-armor-1-590x472.jpg

Hopefully, the counter-attacks and aerial interdiction would stop it.

Would them?

I think he will. The enemy is incapable of transporting its units over the seas, thus making it possible to retake America. He could lure their army to Costa Rica, and then commence an amphibious assault on, let's say, Nicaragua. With help of submarines, entire American invasion force could be starved this way. It would be much more difficult to reclaim Eurasia though. Perhaps a long, bitter campaign of strategic bombardment and nuclear attacks could be the only way to succeed there.

question:

cass, do you inted to take this (relatively realistic) strategy to the end? i mean, it's exciting as fuck, but i'm really hoping that you will actualy kick the aliens out of earth and institute the empire of Holy Terra. any chance of that happening?

No. The sacrifice of hundreds of thousands in the fight against Fascism during WW2 would be in vain if in the end they became fascist. But of course, no Utopia either, but instead of going with something totally grimdark, I'd rather take a bit more realistic approach. Remember: only the Soviets and Japan left their alliance with the UDMS-KKK. Thus, any liberated province from any other country will be returned to such country.

But yes. D-Day is planned to happen once and if Kwanzania is liberated, and no faggotry of nuclear bombs like in Turtledove's Worldwar. If they are to win They shall win not like rats playing with red buttons, but like men:

Can't you like, you know, conquer it? Empire of Holy Terra would be an awesome scenario.

Well, the remnants of the world are already pissed off with them because of the formation of the united Kwanzania being a threat to the interests of many wealthy and influential people, but on the other hand, many of them have part of their soldiers defending Panama, and I want to play with a Democracy.

However, don't worry, if they ever manage to liberate Poland, there'll be an entire Soviet Union and the entirety of China to be liberated to the east. Of course, there are about dozens of tripods in Eurasia.

Also, page 9 already had way too many updates.

The Sun may yet rise in Britain.

lphoi2saliberation040.jpg

fallout21_2.jpg

After a harsh and brutal battle, the enemy offensive is halted, and now, it is only a matter of time before they are completely surrounded.

lphoi2saliberation041.jpg

In verge of their impending destruction, the British finally agreed to evacuate as many soldiers as possible.

I was not aware of the limitation that even after assuming military control of allied forces, they won't be able to retreat to your transports if attacked. The consequences of not knowing about this banal and futile limitation, you'll see.

lphoi2saliberation042.jpg

Thus, as planned, on fourt of August, the trap is finally ready. Another tough battle happens against enemies in power armor, but their lack of supplies and disorganization work ultimately against them, and heavy air support gives the final push to overcome their technological superiority.

lphoi2saliberation043.jpg

lphoi2saliberation044.jpg

Four Xenu Renegades and one Xenu Popamobiles divisions were thus successfully annihilated, and now Brazil, except for a two divisions stranded in the Amazon rainforest, have been liberated, and soon Argentina would be liberated as well. Victory was for the first time at hand.

Many of the divisions at the Brazilian coast would be relocated either by strategic redeployment or by sea to still active front lines. However, some very unexpected news arrived as soon as the Alliance Guard had the British forces temporarily merged with them.

lphoi2saliberation045.jpg

afghww2.png

greaters.gif

From the ashes, Britain rises, and several naval patrols seem to give almost absolute certainty that no more enemy divisions lied in the British Isles, and thus, either the enemy have, due to unknown reasons, decided to abandon the British isles, or the brave submarine task forces across the Channel have managed to completely starve them out. However, perhaps there could be 6 tripod divisions in Scapa Flow, ready to advance.

lphoi2saliberation046.jpg

lphoi2saliberation047.jpg

A controlled retreat to Cochin, where the evacuation is intended to proceed, begins, while three divisions are rescued.

lphoi2saliberation048.jpg

The enemy apparently was not sending more forces from Managua to Costa Rica, for now. However, knowing very well the power of the tripods, more and more forces were digging in in Panama while its equivalent of the Maginot Line, except that it would cover every stretch of land to the north and thus have no ways to bypass it besides amphibious attacks, which the enemy seem unable to do, and once this line was complete, then finally it would be safe to redeploy at least some of the defenders to offensive operations. For now, only uncertainty remained. On a related note, the evacuation of the Mediterranean proceeded.

lphoi2saliberation049.jpg

Another important step for the liberation of South Kwanzania, however, one with a risk, and like any risks, it may happen. And thus, Santiago could now be attacked, specially if the enemies to its south were equipped with power armors. And it happened. However, part of the forces that achieved victory in Vitoria were being shipped to Chile.

lphoi2saliberation050.jpg

However, the evacuation of India takes a turn for the worse.

lphoi2saliberation051.jpg

More successful submarine operations are reported.

lphoi2saliberation052.jpg

And now, it seems that it will be possible to evacuate all the military forces stranded in the Mediterranean. However, because of that fucking thing about allied soldiers being unable to retreat to transports, this means that a very close watch will be necessary, for if the concentration of soldiers readying to depart is attacked, everything would be fucked up.

lphoi2saliberation053.jpg

Patrols through the coast of Britain confirm: The aliens either starved or have forsaken one of the most industrialized regions of the world. And thus, the liberation of England happens without any effort. And with England secure, it may be possible to land on Fortress Europe yet.

lphoi2saliberation054.jpg

Thanks to the fact it is totally impossible for soldiers to retreat to a ship that belongs to an allied country, only one division has been saved in the end.

lphoi2saliberation055.jpg

By 14th of November, the reports were definitively not very good. Even more enemy forces were building up to the northern border. Many divisions previously tasked to crush the enemy forces in Vitoria were already being sent to reinforce the lines.

lphoi2saliberation056.jpg

Both victory and defeat are very close for the UDMS-KKK. For Panama must not fall while the destruction of the last aliens in South America continue.

lphoi2saliberation057.jpg

By late November, small destroyer flotillas began to harass the east coast of South America. Grand Admiral Kingcomrade is tasked to wipe them out, for sooner or later they would actually sink even more transports than those they already did.

lphoi2saliberation058.jpg

In 18th of November, another crushing victory happens in the battle of Rosario.

lphoi2saliberation059.jpg

While the reinforcements finally arrive in Chile. Unfortunately, thousands have died as their transports were sunk. They won't be forgotten, and Grand Admiral kingcomrade will soon exact revenge for their raids. One thing is certain. It is no longer worth to risk using unescorted transports. The battle of Santiago begins, as three infantry divisions and four ill-equipped militias face the POPAMOLES.

lphoi2saliberation060.jpg

Thanks to the counter-attack, they manage to hold out.

lphoi2saliberation061.jpg

There is something wrong here. Yes, why waste precious time by deploying troops through land against an unprotected region when the inheritance of the Amerikwan Navy can do the same faster?

lphoi2saliberation062.jpg

Only a few divisions remained to the south as what began as a seemingly hopeless battle was turning into a simple mop-up operation against a handful of enemy forces still not crushed, for the majority of divisions were now being redeployed to Panama.

lphoi2saliberation063.jpg

Rosario is finally liberated.

lphoi2saliberation064.jpg

And fortunately, the enemy has decided to not attack the men preparing to depart for Panama.

lphoi2saliberation065.jpg

lphoi2saliberation066.jpg

The enemy destroyers are dealt with, and despite being technologically advanced, they are no match for a full-fledged carrier fleet.

lphoi2saliberation067.jpg

However, more destroyers continue their harrassment, but it could be even worse because the transports lost were not carrying any soldiers. Meanwhile, Southern England is now mostly liberated.

lphoi2saliberation068.jpg

Finally, a potential destruction of even more POPAMOLES.

lphoi2saliberation069.jpg

lphoi2saliberation070.jpg

Hong Kong had no chance. While even severely damage, the enemy destroyer almost sunk the less advanced destroyer escorting a lone transport.

lphoi2saliberation071.jpg

lphoi2saliberation072.jpg

Meanwhile, some very, very good news. All surviving soldiers that were once stranded in the mediterranean, thanks to the bravery of Crete and all the Spartans refugees in the island, have been successfully evacuated. Unless one of those destroyer groups decide to ruin everything. But as they seem to be fully concentrated in South America's East Coast, it is unlikely, and measures are being taken to ensure all of them will have a safe trip to Panama.

lphoi2saliberation073.jpg

And thus, the year of 1941, the year of ITZ, was ending. Against all odds, an army made by men of dozens of different nations, led by the greatest generals of the heroic Polish stand during the Second World War, together with leaders of all other countries, have managed to survive something that the greatest powers in the world have failed to stop. Victory in South America was going to happen in a few months now. Not only that, but to everyone's surprise, Britain has arisen again, as the enemies, either starved due to constant convoy raidings or deciding to leave, allowed for the island to recover.

lphoi2saliberation074.jpg

To witness the massive landmass with hostile forces to its South, watchful of the Channel, and awaiting. For one thing perhaps would not change from this conflict compared to how things would go if History was not tampered with. D-day, the Liberation of Europe. Here, however, if it were ever to happen, it would be a far more Herculean effort, and cost immensely more. But for now, the priority was another one, as the Soviet Union would be erased by History.

I found pics advertising a movie about an alien invasion in Los Angeles that fit a lot with this LP.

The Beggining of a new year, and of the Final Liberation of South America.

Paraguay is finally retaken. Although their armies have fallen during the early and troubled times of this war, now their flag once again flies, next to the flag of the UDMS-KKK. Now, the time for the final victory was both distant and close, as in the frozen lands of Patagonia, a brutal last battle awaited.

lphoi2salibends002.jpg

Enemy transports have been trying to leave, but the Navy has been doing their job, no matter the cost, for although they were almost certain that the enemy wouldn't use tripods in amphibious assaults, it was better to be safe than sorry.

lphoi2salibends003.jpg

Both submarines and surface fleets were blockading Patagonia to ensure the enemies would suffer. For such steps would ensure that far less casualties would happen in the last battles for South America.

lphoi2salibends004.jpg

Britain continue to be liberated without any opposition. It is only a matter of time now before England, Wales and Scotland arise from the ashes.

lphoi2salibends005.jpg

Destroyers attempt to break through, but thanks to tactical and numerical superiority, humanity wins.

lphoi2salibends006.jpg

A small carrier flotilla that was conducting carrier strikes on the port of Mallorca is successfully chased away at the enemy controlled Mediterranean, showing the noticeable ineptness of the enemy in naval warfare strategy and tactics. Naval battles continued to be fought through December:

lphoi2salibends007.jpg

And sometimes, they brought losses. A fleet transporting soldiers to ensure the enemy divisions previously encircled would stay so losses a transport, fortunately not loaded with troops.

lphoi2salibends008.jpg

In 11th of December, an important step is taken in the ultimate liberation of Brazil and in defeating the isolated and starving enemies in the Amazon rainforest. One day later, a decisive battle would begin.

lphoi2salibends009.jpg

lphoi2salibends010.jpg

Even lacking supplies, the enemies could still be very dangerous and difficult to defeat in their armored exoskeletons, but in the end, it was clear they were so disorganized they had no chances of mounting a proper offensive. Victory was now a matter of time.

lphoi2salibends011.jpg

The reinforcements arrive in Puerto Aisen, and even though the enemy is attacking and outnumbered at 3:1, knowing very well the nature of such enemy, they could still win despite continual interdiction and counter-attacks. And such was exactly what happened. But the Alliance Guard would not give up Puerto Aisen so easily.

lphoi2salibends012.jpg

One of the longest naval battles ever fought began in 16th of December of 1941. The enemy flotilla had a carrier, but, they were totally disorganized, and thus, the battle involved the destroyers instead, in an engagement that would last for an entire day.

lphoi2salibends013.jpg

Immediately, the four destroyers are sent to hunt the small enemy flotilla before it could regroup, but unfortunately, due to range limitations and serious problems with the supplying of forces in Northern Ireland, they failed.

lphoi2salibends014.jpg

Now, six divisions were sent to achieve something a lone division and three couldn't. Unfortunately, the overprevalence of shitty militias would work against such a goal.

lphoi2salibends015.jpg

The blockade finally brings the first results.

lphoi2salibends016.jpg

lphoi2salibends017.jpg

The last battles of South America would also be among the longest and most brutal ones, supported by air and naval power, and even at large numbers it was still difficult to defeat such enemies.

lphoi2salibends018.jpg

128-lm.jpg

Considering the fact such enemy is without supplies, and as expected, very disorganized, an assault is launched against the jungle where the aliens lied, giving start to a brutal battle through such harsh and unforgiving landscape.

lphoi2salibends019.jpg

However, gifted by their advanced technologies and the advantages a jungle provides to a defender, they managed to withstand the attack, as it was decided then, to simply surround such forces and wait as they would eventually starve and thus become easily defeatable.

lphoi2salibends020.jpg

wwiubfg.jpg

With the construction of thirty new submarines, the convoy raiding operations in the Atlantic and in the Pacific shall intensify. Donner, and other German naval captains are back in action. Such was the Christmas gift that would be given to the xenos.

lphoi2salibends021.jpg

Also, political changes happened in the 26th of December. Isolationism is akin to accepting extinction of mankind, and thus proper measures were taken. Three Kwanzanias, Social Liberal. Holy shit Cleve is going to have a seizure. But at least it is not a fully open society, meaning that Dhimmi scum won't have government handouts to build megamosques and it is a full laissez-faire economy, meaning there will be no morons on welfare.

Almost a million of soldiers now guard the fortress-nation of Panama, as a legion of tripods lie in the desolate north, maintaining a permanent border tension as the defenders expect that any time, any day, an attack could happen. huge networks of bunkers and fortresses are still being built, but now they begin to take the shape of the maginot line in all but the existence of ways to bypass it. And thus ended one more year, an year of darkness, an year of ITZ. 1942 begun as an year of stalemate, which was still preferable to ITZ.

lphoi2salibends023.jpg

Puerto Aisen could not be held, and thus, it was unlikely that such enemy division could be defeated right now. But the advance for liberating Patagonia through land and sea would not be given up.

lphoi2salibends024.jpg

And thus, one last attempt to crush the enemies in Puerto Montt began.

lphoi2salibends025.jpg

Unfortunately, already too late. It would be necessary to relocate the forces and avoid at all costs to allow the three power armor divisions in Patagonia to regroup, for together, they'd be far more difficult to be taken down.

lphoi2salibends026.jpg

Now, more than a million men protected Panama. No more men would be sent, for such was more than seventy-five percent of the entire UDMS-KKK armed forces. If they couldn't do it, there would be absolutely no hope and all would have been in vain. But apparently, they have succeeded, and it seems that the enemy have unwisely placed almost all the forces that brought ITZ to Kwanzania at the borders and to Nicaragua. Thus, if enough man could be shipped through the seas, they may be isolated, allowing for the liberation of all Kwanzanias.

lphoi2salibends027.jpg

In 19th of January, the first decisive(and for a change, easy) victory to finally liberate the entirety of Brazil happens, as the allied forces crush starved power armor aliens in Santarem, and prepare thus to finish off the last division still there.

lphoi2salibends028.jpg

More successful submarine operations happen as the supplies of the aliens in Patagonia are slowly but certainly running out.

lphoi2salibends029.jpg

In usual circumstances, when fighting against other Earthly enemies, anti-tank guns would not be very useful because that no matter what, tanks will always be a minority. But when fighting enemies whose best infantry forces are as armored as tanks and whose best armors are the dreaded tripods, researching tank destroyers and anti-tank guns will have an use. As will have a use trying to catch up in researches regarding the development of the concept of aircrafts propelled by rocket engines instead of piston props, among other things.

lphoi2salibends030.jpg

And thus, in 8th of February of 1942, the Amazon rainforest were soon to be cleared, as crushing the enemies in Manaus would eventually happen. Attempts to take Wellington in Patagonia happened, but did not work. However that would be rectified soon.

lphoi2salibends031.jpg

For the final battle of South America was about to begin.
