[ Announcement ]

Saw this game awhile back but couldn't find much info on it. Developers Games GI are Spanish and the publisher French. As far as I know it's only available through Stragames.

WWII: General Commander is a new concept on RTS; based on the Operational board games, Games GI has developed a simple but addictive game play that is able to simulate the WWII combats.

WWII: GC. Operation: Watch on the Rhine is the first of several scenes that will cover the most important bellicose settings of WWII. The Battle of the Bulge helps us to introduce a new concept of game play, but more than anything it’s a game to be played online, challenging one against another in the many scenarios that will be available, or to even create new ones to share with other players.

Much more info, including DRM, available in this thread on The Wargamer forum.

I would like to hear more first hand experiences.

Right now it looks like right in the middle between RTS and tactical wargame genres, and as both are incompatible, I bet a lot of people from both camps will hate it. There is already discussion on wargamer about the speed. It has DRM and activations too, so wait until you can dl a no activation patch.
