HoMM V I guess. I don't think I've completed any game released after 2006.

I knew they'd move it to general gaming...

... rather than just change "game" to "RPG" in the title.

Because this is obviously a general gaming thread... Unicorns and Pegasuses really exist as a genre piece outside of RPGs don't they...

There's no 'elpin' these fucking morons!

Lmao.

Argentum Online, pretty old and shitty Argentine MMORPG, except without the "massive" part (400 users at its peak, now around 100 because it sucks).

Final Fantasty Tactics A2 I think. It's a key part of breaking the shit out of the game.

It has a rather novel MP system where a unit starts each battle with 0 MP and gains a small amount each turn. This works out really elegantly, keeping low level abilities useful, making turns you aren't killing an enemy less wasted, and making consumable items relevant. There's just one problem: The ability Blood Price, which lets you pay each spell's cost in 2xHP instead of MP. Not only do you start each battle with full HP, you start with more for every level up (and several equipable items raise it further) and can recover far more than you spend on spells with healing spells like Unicorn. It gets even better when you get element absorbing equipment and can include both your unit and opponents in the AoE so your spells effectively cost nothing.

No one remembers the chained unicorn quest from the underrated ARPG Darkstone? Oh wait... I'm the only person in the world that remembers/liked Darkstone.

Darkstone was a staple of my childhood. Though I only played the demo when I was a kid (part of a pcgamer or maximum pc demo disk or some shit). I still like it though, and it's interesting in that you also get a companion to play with.
