What are the top 10 World War II games (any genre)?

IL-2 Sturmovik. Honorable mention to B-17 Flying Fortress and Battle of Britain.

Medal of Honor. Honorable mention to Medal of Honor: Frontline, Brothers in Arms, and Call of Duty. All these series got eviscerated by modernization, though.

West Front by TalonSoft. Honorable mention to Panzer General series & even Steel Panthers which once ruled the roost. Just personally thought the 'Front series were better.

Close Combats 1-3 (counting as 1)

Combat Mission Barbarossa to Berlin

Hearts of Iron 2. Honorable mention to HOI4 which seesaws between playable to utterly broken mess depending on how Paradox's patches are feeling that week.

Company of Heroes 1 w/ honorable mention to the Commandos games.

Armored Commander II for being a good game, but also just something very different from the rest.

Silent Storm. Becomes sci-fi, but for a bit there it is some very solid WWII action.

Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich. Obviously a comic book spin, but you do fight stand-ins for Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo. Exceptional game just as well.
