BTW, bikes are quite present in those things... will they have a in-game use or something?

Just imagine 6 rangers riding into battle on their bikes...

Those satellite dishes look the best. But all of it is pretty good stuff.

@BrianFargo Brian this lady's article asks why are there no bicycles in post-apoc fiction. http://tinyurl.com/bzgeqsq

Brian Fargo
@IlyaFeldshteyn @asymmetricinfo it's a good point though leather clad villains don't look as menacing when peddling.

It's just one asset that happened to be jumped on a few times. The one with decagon wheels was free, so Frith knows if they'll use it. They might tho. Nothing says oldschool like square/decagon wheels.

Cargo bikes can carry a crazy amount of stuff quite easily. Even ordinary bikes can carry a load of stuff. It's annoying that they don't appear more often.

I'd pay money to see the bad guys cycling around on a delta trike with a machine gun mounted on the back :)

The Imperial Japanese Army used bikes to blitz the Brits in WW2.

De-lurking to smug that my satellite dish got selected, felt good bros. The wait to hear anything back was pretty annoying though, I'd pretty much written it off.

Wasn't really sure what it'd be worth (I'd never used Unity before), so given it was for a good cause decided to simply give it away. Depressing to see what I could've made tho

Can't believe they actually purchased those stones when they can be randomly generated for free by many programs. Money well spent again!

Are we really complaining about $25 spent on some rocks, and letting fans get involved now?

Seconded. Now go make some more, and get what your work is worth, this time. Make them a bicycle with 12 sided wheels and an old dilapidated barn with one of those rooster weather veins on top.:)

The process is pretty slow because it got from Unity to inXile and I think there only Koy was reviewing them. I think he's roping more people in now so it speeds up some, hopefully it'll improve.

And yeah, they noted they want deviations and creativity but a lot of people made some literal interpretations. Problem with that is you end up with identical copies inXile can't use. They want variety so they can buy and use multiple, ideally.

Gonna have to join you on that one.
Funny how it actually turned that I was the only one who wasn't following that concept to the letter, despite them blurting out something about

The wait to hear anything back was pretty annoying though, I'd pretty much written it off.
So did I. For a moment it looked like they weren't too enthusiastic about it. Guess they were simply too busy, what's with assembling a working build in a months' time and all.

That is a very nice turret. o_O And without the exaggerated proportions on the barrel that pissed me off about "the other."

Great job, both of you. Looks like professional grade stuff to me.

Any chance one of you fine gentleman can create a railroad car based on North American design rather than the European type in the screenshots? Are they asking for anything like that?

No offense, but if you want to encourage creativity, you better state that outright. If I remember the descriptions for the first batch correctly, there was not a single hint about how closely you have to stick to the concept. Sure, there were some rather vague statements that were open for interpretation, but that was it. It was quite logical that most of them ended up sticking to the concepts as close as possible.
This.
