I love you guys. You've seen just a glimpse of game technology and you're bitching already  .

Looks like it's got great fluid simulation, I'll keep an eye on this one.

I have to side with skyway here. And no, minecraft is not innovative nor a good game.

BTW: This game already has a thread and been discussed.

This game called Love looks amazing. Here's a trailer of it. Indie mmo with procedural generated gameworlds in which you and other players must work together to build a village in a wierd fantastical world. Instead of using blocks this guy when for something of an impressionistic art style and it looks absolutely wonderfull. Check the trailer. Anyway, other than this only Journey on the PS3 and indeed From Dust look fresh and interesting to me. No idea how they'll turn out.

Oh, and lol at the moronic reactions here. This is why gaming is so stale, formualic and predictable nowadays kiddos. Here, have some oddball fun.

All I see are "omg looks awesum" posts about it but then again seems like no one has bought it  Also it's pain in the ass to goggle info for.

You can find info, though most discussions boil down to people being let down about this not being a porn mmo. The fact that the designer is a bit of a wierdo who also uses the website for his own personal emo blog and knows shit about promoting his game is not really helping in making it more known. Still, it stayed out of the limelight for quite awhile, yet interest is slowly picking up since it's been getting quite some good press in magazines lately. Now it just needs to get picked up on SA and 4chan and you'll have the next hype.

I like skepticism in people. It's a foundation of modern science after all. But what you are doing is not skepticism, it's Codexian conformism. "We shit on mainstream. We're so edgy here, aren't we guys?".

No, it's experiences forming expectations (and some kiddos who can't find RL friends trying to score e-recognition-points by jumping a bandwagon only they perceive).

Because mainstream is well known for producing quality games. Especially Ubisoft. We just bitch about this stuff for no reason.

Oh look they've made a map editor with physics... Awesome!

You know shit about the game apart that it looks pretty, has the guy from Another World and that Ubisoft will release it. If you think you can make an informed opinion based on that then you've been dropped on your head as a child.

You can use the same argument against indie games. What you guys fail to understand is that there are both indie and mainstream turds. There is more mainstream turds because there is more mainstream games in general (and indie turds usually die unnoticed).

Oh look, Skyway is criticising another game he doesn't know jack shit about. But don't change please, that's how we love you  .

Care to name me at least one Ubisoft game in the past 4 years that wasn't dumbed down shit?

Bloody Good Time, as far as I know. It's made by the same guys who created The Ship (quite underappreciated game imo) and is supposed to be its spiritual successor.

You're bound to have more correct guesses if you assume every game is going to suck rather than assume everything game is going to rock, however.

I dare also say you'll be a happier person. Since you expect everything to suck, there won't be many disappointments, but there will be a few good surprises.
