Why Early Access?
We are entering Early Access so that we can collect feedback on our unique influence system, sandbox RPG mechanics, the overall gameplay loop and how players can affect the world. We look to determine what changes, if any, need to be made in order to bring the game in-line with the expectations of tabletop RPG and CRPG fans.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
We expect to be in Early Access for about a year.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The Early Access version of the game will feature roughly half of the game's final content including the overarching story, classes, abilities, etc.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?
The game currently has all major CRPG systems built in including character customization, turn-based combat, stealth, and our unique influence system. However, these are all works in progress, so we expect a lot of adjustments to be made to them throughout Early Access.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
We expect the price of the game to increase at the end of Early Access, bringing it on-par with other major CRPGs.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
We will be collecting feedback on Discord and surveying players in order to make informed changes to the game. We are also looking into a built-in submission system for players to submit feedback directly to us.

I like the blend of fantasy ideas here, but part of the UI looks very bland and uninspired. Especially the dialogue boxes and fonts. It won't be far from the truth saying that the whole UI looks like ass.

On watchlist.

So far the reviews are 88% positive, but most reviewers are mentioning GLARING issues impeding their enjoyment. Something seems off here.

EA games are reviewed in context of being EA, a.k.a an Alpha that is suppsoed to be improved overtime based on feedback.

It's not uncommon for some people to change Thumb Up to Down later in a game lifecycle during EA if the Dev didn't manage to adress those issue in reviews

Not only the UI, but everything looks bland and uninspired. Once again, it's a generic product of the post-World of Warcraft era. I have no interest in something that looks so mainstream, and the cherry on the cake is that it's in early access. Everything is predictable and boring. I believe 2024 will be the year of studio closures, and I think it's a good thing.

Early access is one of gaming's biggest scams, they should be paying people to test their unfinished project and then sell it when it's done. I think early access might actually be more retarded than horse armor dlc was and that shouldn't even be possible.

In an ideal world where business works exactly the way it should, sure, but what you propose implicitly means that people who already have lots of money are going to monopolize the production of art and entertainment and people with ideas/inspiration/passion but no cash are stuck spinning their tires in the mud.

In the end, the opportunity for early access is the lesser of evils; nobody is obliged to participate.

In essence, I should just stick to my 15 year old graphics card and just play old games?

If you stick to 1080p, yes, keep your old stuff; you are only missing Alan Wake 2 so far. Now, if you want 1440p and 4K, you need more, but not that much if you are reasonable on settings. Even 4K 60fps isn't so hard to reach with FSR2 or DLSS. But if you read Reddit, anything under a 4090 is considered utter garbage. There are plenty of retarded kids, financially dependent on their parents, who believe that throwing a few months' worth of their McDonald's wages is an easy way to get the best card and everyone can do same.

The dice thing huh. Yeah, I "loved" that slow ass intrusive shit in baldin's gape 3. Here's hoping this trash interface gimmick dies a quick and painful death.

the title sounds like it was generated by chatgpt
It seems to like using colons.

ozOwW2O.png

When it ditches the colon the names it generates start to sound like generic roguelike and jrpg names
5lveDKm.png

BTW, if you ask it, it will generate a two letter name for a crpg. It seems like it like to use y and o.
hAm2GFx.png

I also noticed that it generated a somewhat prestigious name at random when I asked it to generate a list of 50 names.
