Nope. Not my intention at all.
You think you have me totally pegged, but you don't. Maybe someday we'll do an Infinitronism thread.

Not THAT crazy. I thought the account was literally being shared by 2 (or more) people. My crazy theory was that he was actually more than one person, because I noticed his ability to be relatively, well, bearable (all things considered) in other areas of conversation elsewhere on the forum.
By "crazy theory" do you mean Dissociative Identity Disorder?

I figured you were asking an honest question but hoped on some level this was some kind of four dimensional chess move. Like Sun Tzu tells us: “Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate.“

Yes, something like that. I've said before that I'm actually sympathetic to Roqua's position regarding RPGs and the Codex's taste in RPGs. I mean, haven't you noticed that he's complaining that people don't like the games that I'm often accused of "shilling" for? There's something righteous and defensible about what he's saying and I really was hoping he could be serious about it for a minute and hopefully spark an interesting discussion.
At the same time, it would have also been a good thing if all of his attention became soaked up in this thread so he couldn't derail other threads. I wasn't expecting him to have a sudden come-to-Jesus moment though!
The bottom line is if you like and want crpgs it is absolutely critical to buy and support the rpgs that are at least striving to be like the greats, even if they fall short or drastically short.
Maybe Roqua is a title passed down from one champion to another in a mortal combat atop of mount Olympus, under the watchful eyes of the gods?!are people certain that todays roqua is the same person as it was so long ago?
after all we all know the story of a certain genie possesing some members some time ago...
Roqua
First, learn to write.
Second, start a blog called roqua.blogspot.com.
Next, post write-ups about RPGs which are certainly not monocled but at the same time not shit-tier, and fairly popular. Employ a friendly and fairly balanced tone.
Then, build a readership by virtue of that.
Ok, the crux. Once you're getting 1 million views per year, become polemical. Start to devalue the above RPGs against truly monocled ones, of which you now step up coverage. In this way, you will give exposure to the monocled RPGs and influence people to try them out.
Congrats. Pat yourself on the back, for you have now done your duty to the genre — but don't stop. Keep refining your palate. Ever-steepen that treatment incline.
And of course, don't forget to keep posting on the 'Dex. The 'Dex has many monocled members, but is getting a bit overrun with Bethestards, edgy shitposters and agents of decline, who think they have good taste and know stuff. Whenever one of these specimens opens their gaping maw of ignorance to argue with you, cite your own write-ups as authoritative, and insult them.
This will generate outrage and butthurt like you wouldn't believe.
Slightly misleading, since it wasn't his call. They had no time to work on the UI and one of Chris Avellone's greatest regrets was all the wasted time they spent on kotor 2's new interface.
Slightly misleading, since it wasn't his call.
I clearly need to self-eject.
Rule №1 : Never have any regrets.
Slightly misleading, since it wasn't his call.
I didn't intend to suggest it was. If I'm remembering right, it was Parker's call.

But doesn’t this interpretation mean you were pandering to, well, scrubs? And if I know one thing, it’s that Lilura don’t want no scrubs.

I wouldn't call Infinity/Aurora player-base scrubs, per se.
Certainly not the infinity player base. Haven’t you called the Aurora base a lot worse than that lately?
This thread should be retardo-ed immediately. With extreme prejudice.
This crossed my mind as wellGiven how much he ranted about the buttons, my deep suspicion is that he autoejected so he wouldn’t need to restrain himself from using them when the YES! account gets button access in two days.
