Set in a fictional Steampunk universe, Trudy's Mechanicals is an intuitive, turn-based tactics game in development for the iPad. Follow the plight of industrialized warriors as they fight for a spot aboard the floating airship nicknamed Trudy.

As fans of tactics games, we were interested in creating a title that maintained core genre traditions while streamlining the interface and throwing in a few new ideas.

The concept of “Steampunk” itself is filled with very rich and powerful visuals, and we wanted to pursue its darker, grittier side.

Arcanum meets Jagged Alliance. Too bad I will never play it because I'll never, ever, buy an iPad.

What ever happened to that isometric post-apoc/steampunk game that was advertised here once? I remember that everybody on the Codex hated its anime style for the characters, so a dev came here and posted that he'd change them.

Other than that I'm drawing a blank.

Last update September 26th after 5 months of nothing, my default stance is that it's vaporware until proven otherwise. What little that was posted in the other forum had some charm though:

Settings are nicely detailed and atmospheric. I couldn't stand the earlier sprites but the newer was ok

"Fictional Steampunk universe"? As opposed to hundreds of non-fictional steampunk worlds?
