The choice of games they chose to display on their shelf in that video is questionable... :hmmm:
Should I have rearranged it? D:

Yeah, having now gone through the video, the macaronis should've gotten some language prepping beforehand.
The macaronis have the great luck of being in a country governed by idiots who in the last 20 years destroyed the school system. And to get proper results, the study of a language should start at the age of 6-9.

I know my english is bad, but i the past i couldn't afford to go study in England and right now i can only play games in english and watch english stuff on the TV.

No they don't, are you insane?
They do. We found out that is cheaper to do 2d blueprints and sketch and send them to 3d artist. 2d graphics are very costly when you need detailed images, sketches can be done in 30 minutes, illustrations take up to 7 days.

Shocked. I really thought they will ask for 40-60 k $ and end up with 70-90$. It's bad, very bad. Loved the alpha :(
Taxes, man. If there's such a deep stupid crisis in Italy it's because we have so much taxes.
To pay an employee 1000 dollars you can spend up to 2000 dollars, and 1000 go directly to our government. And we need local people to do most things, we can't let some people from the other side of the world do it, we need proper communication.

EDIT: about the english in the game, the one you should worry about, we're now searching for a native speaker solution to solve all translation problems. Our actual native speaker doesn't seem so native.

Displaying Warcraft III and Bioshock so prominently over your shoulder gives this old-cRPGer a bit of a pause as to your tastes and influences...

Well, i see your point. There were the two Baldur's gate near those boxes, but they were out of camera range.

You're not helping yourself...

But then again, you did mention Fallout in the text of your pitch, so all is forgiven. Really hope you succeed!

Ah same problem with french educational system, years studying foreign languages , english , german and latin in my case . All is left is a bit of english to rant on the codex, i cant even properly insult germans, and yet they are our eternal foes...
To pay an employee 1000 dollars you have to spend the same amount in taxes as well, thats why our old countries are sinking , its not likely to see french teams on kickstarters. 120k$ seems a lot of money but even at minimum wages you wont last long with a team of 9 in italy.

Hey man, there were some pretty decent rpgs on WC3 mods. Hell, even the D3 clones were fun, if memory serves.

Already failed, they should really find a native speacker both for the in-game text and for the Kickstarter pitch.

Unno mang, i like you and them no matter how good your english is.
Plus they have a native speaker, they just need an editor, an underrated job really, Decado is right.

I'm not talking detailed, I'm talking at the same level as something like Exile.

How were You financing it before? Were You considering some early access thing? Actually the only no name developer I can think of to have actually surpass 100 k dollars was the guy from Stasis but he have an of advantage an excellent graphic and Mark Morgan on team. It's just the sad truth. You won't make it :( And I want the game to be finished.

Your audience at Kickstarter is largely english speaking. You need to correct this and it can be done fairly easily. ( i didnt watch the video btw so im only going by the comments here)

All you need to do is find a friend - a good looking Italian female friend - who speaks good English and then you just start the next update with saying "hello, we understand our english in the first pitch video isnt that good, were sorry but we found a solution" - enter good looking Italian girl = pledges raise exponentially.

No, there is nothing wrong with that. We all get it and we all dont care.

The point being OwNathan dont run this project on idealism alone. Especially now. A lot of us got disappointed with several very, very, VERY over-hyped pitches by very well known devs and the games coming out after not being on that level.
Im not sure is that number big enough to make the ultimate difference but you should consider it as a tactical angle.

Well, not really. Being on kickstarter you should know it's all about presentation and smoke & mirrors
