Stealth kills are entirely possible in the beach house, unless the difficulty mod disables them.

It does not disable it - I stealth-killed the guy who comes out to turn the light on again.
It does make it rather extremely unlikely to succeed.. How much stealth do you have at this time in the game anyway? I had Dex 3 and Stealth 3 = 6 combined. That was not enough to come near anyone there - with the exception of the guy mentioned. (and even there the indicator was at 100) But it was enough to sneak in, get the money and the astrolite and gtfo.

And I'd recommend Wesp's plus patch even on the first playthrough. The stuff it adds is OK and makes the game better - doesn't detract from the experience in any conceivable manner.
Is the difficulty mod working in tandem with Wesps? Because if so Wesp fixed the stealth skill by making it act less like obfuscate and more like regular gaming stealth.

Works as far as I know, but with pop's mod sneaking is more difficult. I don't know if it makes any changes to wesp's stealth fix but it doesn't seem likely.

Also about the beach house. If you go the stealthy route, meaning you close the generator, dim the lights and wait for the boss to leave the room, then most likely you won't be able to perform stealth kills on the thugs. This is a known problem and it's either some random bug left from troika or some new bug that arised in one of the new patches. It has been discussed at the vampire planet forums.

After having played around extensively with this difficulty mod I correct my previous statement and herewith declare it to be an improvement over the vanilla game.

Sure it is made for an old version of Wesp's patch (2.8) and therefore reintroduces some bugs that were fixed already, like some occult items not working, but still.

Yes if you read all this bickering - it's ridiculous. Although Wesp seems to be the reasonable guy, whereas the Tesstards are the fuckwads. Just an observation...

I feel the need to point out that, hilariously enough, pretty much all the time the "Tesstards" were just alts of Tessara.

Kinda fitting.

Tessera bit the dust a few months ago actually.
NOTICE: TESSMAGE.COM WILL BE SHUTTING DOWN PERMANENTLY
April 19, 2009

Once upon a time, Tessera produced high-quality texture mods and the best VTMB patch on the web.
But eventually, Tessera retired after growing increasingly disgusted with various issues. And just today,
Tessera has also discontinued any and all support for the excellent True VTMB Patch, after growing
weary of seeing it being slandered and sabotaged by Werner Spahl (aka "Wesp5") and his clueless
legions of smack-talking adolescent goons
.

Because of these ongoing problems, and because the online gaming community continues to delight in
slandering and disrespecting Tessera at every available opportunity, and because Tessera's supposed
"fans" have -- for the most part -- done little or nothing to support and defend Tessera
from these nitwits
and geeks... well... WELL...

...well, there just doesn't seem to be much point in maintaining this website any longer. It costs money
(a lot more money than you might think) to maintain tessmage.com on its own private server. Ever since
its beginning back in 2006, tessmage.com was paid for entirely out of Tessera's pocket. No pop-up ads,
no affiliate agreements, no outside financial support of any kind. We never wanted to have any of that
intrusive commercial garbage on this site... thus it was up to Tessera himself to foot the entire bill.

But now... it no longer seems relevant. In this world which embraces mediocrity and stupidity, it was
inevitable that an intelligent perfectionist like Tessera would eventually tire of beating his head against
the brick wall of shallowness and New Age apathy. To this day, there are legions of unsophisticated,
plastic prudes who continue to view tessmage.com as being little more than a "porn site." Many others
simply enjoy abusing Tessera on a regular basis -- no doubt because they resent his "no punches pulled"
demeanor and the equally challenging quality of his artwork.

Tessera's work has been published in major gaming publications. His texture mods are being used
by literally hundreds of thousands of gamers worldwide. His political opinions and other points of
view have been featured in published interviews. Yet the amount of active public support for all of
that work has been anemic to say the least. That's not very rewarding, so Tessera is simply calling
it quits -- once and for all. This has been coming for a long time, people. No one should be surprised.

This entire website will be taken offline at the end of May, 2009. It's been an interesting three years,
but the public does not seem to be very supportive of anything which falls outside of the comfy and
safe zone of the mainstream. Therefore, the continued maintenance of tessmage.com can no longer
be justified. It has... in effect... become pointless. That's rather sad... but time marches on.

Best wishes to all of you... and many thanks to Tessera's loyal supporters. Keep the faith.

Hahahahaha! That's the best gaming news I've read in months, helped by the fact that news post is hilarious. Maybe I should have a celebratory replay of Bloodlines.

Are you kidding? I would normally assume so, but with RPG mods you never know.
