Its either or, third or first person, phew

This press release has to be some of the stupidest shit I've ever read...

The new third person perspective will further immerse players into the role of Garret

Well, okay, I concede that first person is much more immersive and the third person mode only turns the game into Splinter Cell: The Steampunk Edition. However, it would be nice if you could see your feet.

Last I heard was that you can see your feet if you look down in 1st person.

I must admit after recently re-playing the two Max Payne games that 3rd person view is growing on me, but nothing can scare the pants off you more than when you round the corner into a bad guy in a 1st person perspective (still happens to me sometimes in FPS).

Part of me wishes that they would just stick with one or the other as "hybrid" games always have a chance of doing two things badly and pleasing no one.

One of cool things in first person comes with leaning over corners and seeing just what is around the corner; with a third person view, you can just move the mouse around to get a view of what's up ahead in a really regular, uninspired way.
