I fucked up the puzzle and spawned some level 89 Luminous horror (like a 6th foot skeleton made of light) and it has 11k hp and some weird temporal shields

Good combo.
Archer doesn't have many generic talents you would want to invest heavily into from what i remember. You can afford putting 5/5/5/5 into skeleton racials.
Edit: grabbing tinkers and getting Fatal Attractor can be really handy.

Just remembered something and checked the wiki. This one might be a bad advice.
FA costs steam, meaning that you will need to sacrifice one of your inscription slots for a steam tank. Might not be worth it.

As an alternative extra generic you might be interested in unlocking Celestial/Chants from escorts. Seems like a popular choice for classes like this.

ToME base game is free and open source, the only thing you get for buying it is the Possessor class and knowing you've supported the dev. It's a good game, so buy it if you can spare the cash. The expansions aren't free, though.
