Supreme Ruler 2020 is every ultranationalists/seccesionists/balkanisation fetishists wet dream. The Shattered World Scenario, to be exact. Which is what we will be playing.
For reasons not exactly specified (economic depression clearly being one of them) the world has been balkanised into many smaller states, each vying for power and wealth.
We shall be the state of Volgograd in Russia, bordered by the powerful Moscow communist state, which is pretty much the European superpower in terms of military and industrial might. Despite our lack of natural resources we have inherited a large part of the former russian army by the Great Putin which will make it easier to acquire Lebensraum and unite the potato peoples.
There is clearly one answer.
Popamole Librulism and other race traitor ideologies will fall beneath the jackboots of WCDS Russia.
But before we begin

Anyway, let us begin.
Welcome to Volgograd, post ITZ Russia. Our small population might not be able to pay enough taxes to fund our war machine but our industry and oil fields are more than enough to make us a handy income. (annual trade tab)
Here is our capital, home to 3 million people.
And that green blob is the Moscow state. Which is communist :declining:
They can stomp us pretty bad though so we'll have to expand our powerbase if we are to tackle them.
First order of business is to make more jewgold and increase our industrial goods output as well as our power production to kickstart an even bigger program of military expansion.
We have enough petrol to support the construction and maintenance of a few petrol power generators that will keep our factories working and keep the manboons computers supplied with power so they can keep playing their popamole and stay happy.
NOTE: In 2020 the only publishers left are EA and Actiblizzard.

After some months of treasury-training industrial construction we are ready to begin expanding our military.
And here is our first target, the North Caucasus state. They have all the resources we lack (mainly coal and uranium) and give us a border with the Ukraine, our long-term goal.
Power production is enough to meet the demands of the nation as our factories are working on EXTREME mode, our exports making up for all the money we lost.
Rostov-on-Don, the capital of the NC is surrounded by other urban centers, effectively making it hell to take. We shall have to rely on our Shells in the Night doctrine to wear down their defences.
Because, unlike Georgians, Russians don't run at the first sound of artillery.
The war begins as Battlegroup FretRider storms the first river crossing and the fortification surrounding it.
While Battlegroups Humanity Has Risen! and Draco are spreading out to the south of the country, taking various industrial towns and seizing enemy reserves before they have time to activate. ((that's a really dumb AI bug that allows you a huge advantage early on in your first war, everyone around you has their reserves activated afterwards)
Elements of Battlegroup HHR have surrounded a vital crossroads town that will greatly reduce the enemy supply throughput in the sector if taken.
The industrial south is pretty much hours. A few isolated pockets of enemies fortified in various locations have formed but without any supply lines they will soon give up.
Battlegroup FretRider however has met significant resistance and is suffering extreme losses as it attempts to take the surroundings of Rostov. The enemy presence there outnumbers them and is fortified in the urban centers around the city. The army is withdrawn and is ordered to shell the area.
Even after two massive air raids the enemy still fights on and Battlegroup Fretrider is forced to withdraw back to it's bases for repairs and re-arming.
The south is now clearly ours. It is time to transfer forces to the Rostov front.
A massive attack is ordered, the combined force numbering almost 100 battalions. Ignoring the massive losses, they keep attacking the capital even after their supply lines are cut by a small relief force.
Nevertheless the capital city soon falls and the NC surrender. The first step towards the re-unification of Russia is finished.
Elsewhere, South Korea has triumphed over Best Korea, making us wonder as to the fate of Best Korea superspy LundB.
Nevertheless, a second industrial expansion is ordered that is completed within a few months and pretty much makes us self-sufficient in everything.

Iran will be our shield from southern aggression, if something like that actually arises.

Battlegroup LyricSuite invades through the mountain passes, routing the Georgian forces before them, which flee in the typical manner Asiatics usually do.
Meanwhile, battlegroup Draco is moving through Abkhazia and are greeted as liberators by the native European population, who have suffered much beneath georgian tyranny. (another typical asiatic trait)
The Georgians have sneaked a small force to the north but that is irrelevant as they are bound to be raped by both east and west.
Battlegroup LS will assist in the capture of central Georgia and then combine with battlegroup Draco to take the capital.
And this is where my game crashed for unknown reasons, the last save being before the NC war.
