An actually fairly popular series I've been enjoying.
Really cool, surprisingly deep space opera harem VN with tactical gameplay. The VN parts are fast-paced and to the point, so most of your time will be spent in battles.
Started off as the dev's personal project, first game is free and has voiceacting in English. Now, almost every character is voiced with professional Japanese voiceovers.
Art-wise, everything's quite amateurish until the latest entry.
The story's fairly cheesy, but honest with what it's trying to present. Sunrider 4 is definitely more mature and grounded and less heroic.
Some NSFW here and there, but they're mostly SFW.
Just finished Sunrider 4, had an absolute blast.
It's a bit different combat-wise to the previous entries, so don't be afraid to make it your first one.
The upgrade system rocks, the music and tension hit hard. Harder difficulties fucking SHRED, would honestly not recommend those since there's no way to really get ahead by grinding and stuff.
These are games that just ooze quality, play them.
